He is a great and timely communicator and a competent designer. He listened to our wants and needs including reusing as many of the original pavers as possible to reduce waste. Brett, Garrett and Glenn did the demo and reconstruction. They are professional and pay attention to detail. They exceeded our expectations in workmanship and project duration. As part of my project, they removed several 50+year-old rare peony plants that were meant to be preserved by having the hardscape created as a memorial garden. Ever since I gave them kind and honest feedback about their lack of management on my job leading to those plants being lost, they have done everything possible to avoid fixing costly mistakes they left that were never part of the project scope to begin with. TL;DR: Villa doesn't know the difference between nutrient dense seeding soil used for planting grass seed and plants versus dirty landscaping fill with pulverized stone and gravel used for leveling landscaping, grading and creating the foundation for hardscapes - in case you're confused, one kind grows stuff and the other doesn't, yet these experts who've been in business for 30+ years seem to have no clue about this difference. This in regards to the Oakdale location-There are many landscaping companies out there. PLEASE use one of them. Their project manager decided on his own to 'clean up' a garden that has been growing for 10 years (I lost 20 established shrubs and perennials). The measurements were off and I now have a patio that was built based on how someone spray painted lines (onto my neighbor's property to boot). They destroyed my sprinkler system- lying when they completed the job that everything was fine. To discover there was almost $1000 in damage done. They were careless in how they worked- taking out my neighbor's wifi and electric dog fence. I have used other landscape companies and have never encountered such a poorly managed job. They did a job done, but it came with a lot of stress and distress and disappointments. Please use another company. read more

We recently used Villa Landscapes on a project in the front our house which required the replacement of some timber beds. Villa Landscapes came in what a great with a great design, replacing the timbers with stone and plantings. The outcome was much better a than expected. We will be contacted them shortly with a new project I'm sure. read more

We put down $6,000 deposit for a retaining wall in early April. We reviewed several companies and decided to go with Villa Landscapes in Oakdale based on both their price and promise that this could be done by early August. So far, with repeated phone calls, we have no date for our wall installation. I feel taken by this company, and plan on reporting to BBB. It's a shame. I could not run a business like this, where I take a customer's $, promise to deliver and string a customer along. "Scott" the manager never has returned 1 call since receiving and cashing our check. I've called 5 times to reach him. Buyer beware. We're out the $$ and no wall or date for installation yet. Go with Minnehaha Landscaping. They are pricier but guarantee their work and delivery. I called Villa Landscapes to design a patio for me that could help with a water problem I had with my garage. My whole yard slopes towards the garage and in the winter during freeze/thaw weather, I get an ice rink in my garage. They scheduled an appointment for me with Kelly O'Donahue from their Oakdale location. Kelly was wonderful to work with and she really put time and effort into designing a beautiful yet funtional(water issues), patio. Between Kelly and her crew, Jeff and Matt, I had a wonderfully perfect experience. I love the patio, I loved their professionalism. My next door neighbor had Villa Landscaping. Crew drove bobcat onto my property that ruined the grass, never asking permission. Bobcat ran into my fencepost causing gate not to close properly. They did not report the damage to me, I had to bring it to their attention. They said they will replace it, still waiting for that. read more
