We came in with a group of 6 and were completely blown away by the entire experience. The service was flawless, the wine list was excellent, and the food was outstanding. The atmosphere inside has a wonderfully casual, cozy cabin feeling, but make no mistake--the kitchen is executing at an incredibly high calibre. For our meal, we decided to order two of the massive Tomahawk steaks to create our own custom, family-style sharing platter for the table. It was served up beautifully with grilled shrimp, fries, and seasonal vegetables. The steaks were cooked to absolute perfection, incredibly juicy, and made for the perfect shared feast. To top off an already fantastic night, hockey legend Mario Lemieux was eating at the table right next to us! You know a spot is great when NHL royalty is dining there. Logistics & Location: It's located just outside the hustle and bustle of the main village--about a quick 4 to 5-minute car ride or a scenic 25-minute walk. It is well worth the short trip. They offered a buffet (only) during this time and it helped us try so many tasty items. The carving station was amazing, the sheppards pie tasty... salads... shrimp.. pork.. I could on and on... I wish we didn't wait until our last night to visit as I would have visited more than once. I'll be back!

For dinner we only saw one table that was occupied. It was a pretty sad looking restaurant. We were hungry during the last night of our stay, and ordered room service, which Gypsy handles. We ordered two grilled cheese sandwiches with fries from the kids menu and a creme brule style dessert. The food arrived quickly and hot. It also arrived on a tray that was chipped and gross looking. They tried to cover up the tray with a white cloth, which was thoughtful. The kids grilled cheese combos were only 5 bucks, so we weren't expecting much, but it came with a lot of fries which were pretty good. The grilled cheese were just on plain white store bought bread, (think wonderbread), which a slice of kraft style cheese. That would have been fine, I love good comfort food, but one grilled cheese had fluffs all along the edge of the bread where it had been sliced. Dirty knife? Who knows...but it was gross. My hubby decided to eat that one, because he knows how I feel about fluff/hair in my food. The second grilled cheese was burnt on one side, and had fluffs on the crust of the sandwich that I noticed halfway through eating it. Ugh, why do I always find this stuff in my food? I don't think much care went into the grilled cheese because they probably thought some kids were going to eat it to be honest and wouldn't notice/care about a burnt grilled cheese and fluffs. Such a disappointment. The dessert was passable. It was 9 bucks and there were no fluffs in it. I now understand why the restaurant is always empty. Do yourselves a favor, and order in takeout from a restaurant in the village, skip this one, unless its your last resort.
