It had been 15 years since we sold and purchased a home, and we pretty much felt like first time buyers all over again. Mike was recommended to us and we were very impressed with him. He sold our home and also helped up with the purchase of our new home. We started with an introductory meeting. He went over his background, ask us what our goals were, and explained the process in detail. He was very patient and knowledgeable of the areas we were looking in (Castro Valley, San Ramon, Dublin and Pleasanton). We were all over the place as far as where we wanted to live, but he kept us focused -- allowing us our freedom -- and grounded, listening to our wants while also reminding us of our budget. We worked in stages: First, selling our home. He covered everything starting with pre-qualifying/getting approved to inspections then pricing and staging, and finally to presenting, selling and negotiating with the offers we received. Next, finding our next home. While our home was getting ready to sell, he sent us listings of homes. He was also open to us doing our own searching. We would send him listings and he would reply back almost instantly with open house dates and/or information of the status of the house (if it's pending, how many people are interested in it, why it's been on the market for x number of days, etc.) He showed us homes and always let us make our own assessments. Then after a showing, he would ask us for our input (what did you like, what did you not like, etc.) which would then help him narrow other home searches. He got to know what types of homes we would be interested in and what areas. He was like our own Nordstrom personal shopper but for homes. Lastly, buying our new home. This is where Mike shone the brightest for us. We fell in love with a home that was for sale by owner. Because the owner did not have a real estate agent, he stepped in gracefully and professionally and ensured that he was going to do his best to make sure this transaction ran smoothly. There were a couple of bumps along the way but Mike worked tirelessly for us and negotiated with a passion so that the transaction was practically seamless from our end. He had our backs the entire process and got us in our dream home! We cannot thank Mike enough for all he has done. He is an amazing realtor and someone you can trust and rely on. We just got the keys to our FIRST HOUSE yesterday, and we are so sad to say we are done working with Mike for now.
