I waited until around 5 days post facial to write this review…read more --First, I got very lucky with my timing b/c I asked for a facial literally right after she had a cancellation so I got in next day. But otherwise, expect to book 4-6 weeks out. --Follow her easy to understand email instructions to confirm your appointment by text, and also show up 10 mins early to appointment. That's not too much to ask. --I am 40 and have never had a facial before so I don't have anything to compare this to. --I was surprised by how fun this experience was. Really pleasant and entertaining conversation. I felt like I made a real friend. --Viktoria asks some prelim questions about products you use and medicines you take. You change into a towel robe and the facial begins. I arrived at 3:50 and walked out at 5:30. --The extractions weren't that bad but the whole time I kept thinking how blotchy and red my face was going to look. But guess what? It was not blotchy or red at all! No redness whatsoever. She must be magic. --She did steam, extractions, a mask, infrared light, some other electric thing, moisturizer, massaged my head and shoulders, it was all really nice. Cost with tip was less than $100. --It doesn't matter if you go in wearing makeup or not. --Don't plan any workouts post facial- nothing where you'll sweat afterwards. --I have had no breakouts, no peeling, no negative after effects from the facial. My skin looks great. Even my husband said I looked younger. --There was no pressure to come back at any given interval, but I will plan to go every 6 weeks or so. I already booked my return appointment. --I can't think of anything negative to say. Viktoria is really wonderful. The only possible downside I can think of is that due to location, you're not getting the nice spa atmosphere, but it would cost twice the amount at a fancy spa and you'd likely not get anyone as well trained and experienced as Viktoria, so I really recommend Viktoria for a high quality facial at reasonable price.

My husband gifted me a Spavia Day Spa massage for Mother's Day earlier this year and I decided now…read morewas finally the time to use it! Please don't let the online scheduling portal detour you from enjoying the luxury and superior customer service Spavia has to offer. I wouldn't even bother trying to book an appointment online if you're a first time guest - just call! Per other Yelpers, I booked with John because I enjoy deep tissue and apparently he is great (spoiler alert: HE IS THE BEST!!). Heads up though that he is booked weeks in advance, and yes, he is worth the wait! Upon arrival you are greeted with a warm neck pillow while you fill out a simple new guest form. Standard questions like "where is your pain generally located" etc. As an avid massage receiver, I've never been asked "what music do you prefer during your massage" or "what scent would you like?" The customization they offer is top notch and I appreciated the options. Once your form has been completed, you're taken back to the immaculate locker room and provided with a robe and sandals. This robe...WOW. It was probably the most lush piece of clothing I've ever placed upon my body. I wish they sold them at the spa because I would've purchased immediately with zero buyers remorse. You are shown a locker to place your belongings in with a lock, so you don't have to worry about leaving your purse/jewelry while you enjoy your chosen service(s). There is also a restroom and shower. Once changed, you migrate to the waiting area where water and tea is provided if you'd like. Okay, now to the best part, the massage... FIVE STARS. John was extremely professional, listened to my areas of concern and the 60 minutes felt like two hours. He was very meticulous and the pressure was exactly what I wanted, firm and deep. If you like firm, book with John. I can't rave enough about him!! Overall experience exceeded my expectations and upon check out I booked another massage with John and a facial. Thank you Spavia for allowing me to relax for once since having my baby 4 months ago!

The only thing that was a bit of a let down was the boxes and new counter still in packaging in the front lobby. However, the warm neck towel upon check-in made me forget all that.

After Woodhouse's most recent renovation, the Quiet Room feels like a Starbucks seating area, where I should whip out my laptop and hop on a Zoom call. Several small, dining-height tabletops and lots of tiny, hard chairs. What happened to the comfy chaise lounges with the big, fluffy pillows? There's a small water station (cool, no ice) and a few small to-go snacks, but that's it. I was led to the locker room and shown my locker, but never offered a water or mimosa, not even instructed to sit in the Quiet Room while I waited. Maybe this was because they knew I was a return customer, but still...

They have complimentary snacks and flavored water. There are also still cozy blankets throughout the room you can use. I will say the chairs are not super comfortable so which I would bet is to ensure you don't lounge around all day. The complimentary drink situation hasn't changed, but they have added clarification at the front desk and in the lounge. ONE complimentary drink is offered (wine, champagne, mimosa, tea) and you can choose to have it prior to your service or after. I would recommend if you are arriving less than 30min before your service OR it's busy, get your drink AFTER! There are only so many staff members and if it's busy your drink won't be delivered with enough time to actually enjoy it prior to your service. They have removed the door from the shower and replaced it with a curtain so it's easier to spot. HOWEVER, they do not offer towels larger than a washcloth, so if you plan to shower BRING your OWN towel! They do however have complimentary shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. For the first time I ever I included a facial to my visit. The Repair and Revive facial was incredibly relaxing and my skin looked wonderful! I do wish more instruction had been offered when I checked in as this was my first facial. For ex: - Do I wear a robe, or go in my clothes? A: Either. You take off your top and they have you wear a wrap before climbing under a warm blanket and lay on a table (like a massage). - Should I shower before because I won't want to wash my face after? A: yes. Sunscreen and other creams were added to my face so I did not want to shower after. -Should I have my hair done or leave it messy after a massage? A: They massage your neck and around your hairline with oils then wrap a soft headband around your hair to keep it off your face. I had a new woman giving my massage and a new woman do my facial and both were incredible. I have yet to request the same person when I return because truly no matter who I get, they are incredible!

Diana is my go-to esthetician for all my skincare and waxing (legs, underarms, brows, upper lip)…read moreneeds. It's hard to find professionals that still offer super thorough facials and don't rush through every step then shoo you out the door. I typically get the Puracne oxygen specialty facial and she always spends over an hour cleansing, exfoliating, applying masks, steaming, extracting, and disinfecting my face.. ya know, the works (how do I know all this? Because she's thorough, and I ask a lot of questions.. heh.) The process is super relaxing start to finish.. except the extractions, which are a necessary evil since I'm prone to lots of blackheads haha. Never had any issues with scarring on any of the extractions done on my face, and by the end of the facial, my skin SO DANG SOFT. Love that she is open on Saturdays, but just make sure to call/text her to make an appointment as she does not do walk in's. I don't even live in Dallas anymore, but I don't trust anyone else with my face and continue to schedule appointments with her whenever I'm in town for the holidays/vacation. She has a room in the back of Evelyn Kershaw salon so you can enter through the hair salon's front entrance, where the front desk can help guide you, or there's also a back entrance and parking lot you can enter from. Her room is well kept, clean, and comfortable. Facials can be a little pricey but it's a luxury I think is well worth the investment and something I look forward to each time.

My partner and I went here for a couple's massage and both really enjoyed being there. Our session…read morewas started right in time and we were given time to relax on the tables a bit before changing and heading out. He got a deep tissue massage while I got a Swedish one (because I love myself) and we were both pleased enough. While the massages were okay, the overall shared experience was honestly really pleasant so it might be a good activity for a date with your partner or really close friend.

Reasons not to go to this place, up to you if you'd like to…read more 1. They give you a chart of the body to circle the places you want massaged and don't, perfect. I went in for a prenatal massage, assuming they knew already what not to do, but I had to basically make sure to tell them again even after making the appointment over the phone FOR that specific massage. I circled two spots, all they did was work on my lower back for the entirety of the massage and like a minute on each of the other spots I had asked only three I even asked for. 2. If you want to relax and sleep, not the place. I had a conversation for the entirety of my massage about pregnancy, lots of unwanted advice from the masseuse and I just kindly went along with it because what else do I do. Also, I mentioned wanting to adopt and was told "don't adopt, give your husband his own children you will never love the adopted child they are not your blood" so if you're adopted I'm so sorry, heavy opinions on the matter from this particular masseuse. (I ended up going to a foot massage place right after my appointment to actually get the massage I had gone in for originally, they did what I asked) 3. You are asked to remove jewelry, fine. I had on a necklace I received to wear to my wedding years ago. I did not want to because I haven't removed it since, still did. Put it in my purse, pendant slipped out of purse and looked for it for weeks, nothing. Called the only place I've taken it off at, they "looked through the lost and found." Nothing was there. Called again to make sure, was hung up on after being on hold, and I'm sure it was a "let me look in the same place, not asking anyone else" kind of deal because I got a "no necklace" although I specifically was not looking for that but a pendant. So there's that. So go if you want a massage they would like to give you, not if you need specific areas done. Go if you don't have priceless jewelry that might get lost and pawned or melted down. Go if you want to have a gab session instead of peace and quiet. Two stars instead of one because the owner I believe, did a scalp massage anyway after I had been a little after my time due to traffic. That was nice of her.
