It's great to see it being used again as it was closed for many years following the economic slump, which was a shame as it should be an asset for a town like Celbridge. Beyond the hotel though, I would however love to see the guys here really try to get more of the local crowd in on the weekends. The food just isn't all that. Celbridge is crying out for a really top notch restaurant to go to - Maynooth has loads - but it seems that the Manor Hotel has unfortunately fallen short of the mark. It'd be great to see them re-look at their menu and do something a little special that would draw the non-residents crowd in and make it a hub in the town.

Really brilliant value at around €40 per person which includes a very substantial three course meal, which you can enjoy while being entertained in the stage which surrounds the tables and seating area. Lovely atmosphere in the Arthur Guinness Room upstairs which has a full bar and very attentive waiting staff. The only bummer on the night we were there, was that the toilets upstairs were out of order and we had to go all the way down stairs when nature called!

They also have a number of dogs - Great Danes and pugs, if my memory serves me correctly, on the property. Breakfast was wonderful! My boyfriend enjoyed a traditional Irish breakfast, and they made me a special vegetarian meal with veggie "sausages" and mushrooms. We both enjoyed fresh squeezed orange juice and pancakes. Libby noted that the pancakes (which were delicious) were gluten free, and I got the sense that she's great at handling gluten free guests.
