Jess was amazing. She was so kind. She exuded warmth. I felt cared for. Something as simple as a bank transaction became therapeutic. They provide a personalized banking community. They know your name when you walk in. Something you will never get at a large impersonal bank. I agree with Dave Ramsey when he says find a small local bank. In my case, Blue Ridge cared when I needed it most.

I mean, I'm trying to give you my money. I understand covid, but several bank lobbies are open but they won't open an account without an appointment. Very inconvenient, despite the pandemic because it should only take a couple minutes. The only reason I hesitated to deposit here, was because they don't have many locations. We have other accounts here and have always been satisfied. So when I called with my dilemma, they were like, "Come right in." Nelly helped me and opened my account in less than 5 minutes and you receive your debit card on the spot! She was accommodating and cordial and also helped me with another transaction. I told the manager, Barbara my experience and was determined to give them a rave review for taking care of this. You would think the other banks would be vying for business! She kept telling me that she couldn't tell me how much it was going to cost. She could not even give me a rough estimate. This seemed odd because every other time Blair assisted me pleasantly and provided all of the information and quotes when I asked. How can someone make a decision between liability and full coverage if they don't know the difference in price? Melissa was not trying to help me. She was combative, arrogant and unprofessional. She did not work to solve my problems, instead she just flat out kept saying, "we can't do that. - no, we can't do that." Usually managers offer solutions and try to help the customer. Melissa did not. She is not management material. Now, Blair did help me.. she answered my questions and came up with a solution. (Funny how the manager is supposed to be the one to help, not the employee.) One thing though... when I asked if someone from there could call me the next day to provide me with another quote. I was advised that I should call them. If they want my business, how hard is it to schedule my name and number on their planner and reach out the following day? It's as if I need to bow down to them to give them my money because they are too busy with all of the other customers. I guess three years being a loyal customer doesn't mean you are going to have any extras - even if that extra is just a courtesy call with a quote (ultimately leading to more money for the Insurance Doctor.) huh... makes you think.
