I would not recommend this practice based on my experience\. I went in with what I believed was a…read morefungal nail infection, but the doctor did not examine my foot hands\-on, touch the affected toe, take a nail scraping, or perform any testing\. I was simply told that the nail needed to be completely removed, without being offered other treatment options\. I was uncomfortable proceeding with such an invasive treatment without further evaluation, so I sought a second opinion\. The second doctor actually examined my foot, tested the nail, diagnosed the fungal infection, and prescribed medication\. Thankfully, the problem was successfully treated without having my nail removed\. I'm very glad I trusted my instincts and got another opinion\. If a doctor is recommending removing an entire nail, I would expect a thorough examination and a discussion of less invasive treatment options first\. I was also surprised that this office passes the credit card processing fee on to the patient\. I'm already paying for the medical visit, and then I'm charged an additional fee simply for paying by credit card\. I personally have not encountered this at other doctors' offices, and it added to my disappointment with the experience\. Between the lack of a hands\-on examination, being given only the option of nail removal, and the additional credit card fee, I would not return to this practice or recommend it to others\.

I also found out that there were 2 places to find reviews on Dr. Jon Zarett, and there was only my 1 post on the other site with only his name, so decided to cut and paste that older review to this page under the name of "Atlanta Foot Care Group," especially since so few have bothered to give him the 5 stars I'm sure he deserves for his every patient. Anyway, here's what I wrote then, and I can gladly say it's still true plus my foot has healed up better than I could have expected: (Originally written Dec., 2014): I cannot recommend Dr. Jon Zarett and Georgia Podiatry more highly. They are the absolute best and the office experience is unique in today's usual world of big business medical centers. Instead you will find a smaller, comfortable (!) office where you are treated with special kindness and compassion by Dr. Zarett and his assistant, Jeff. I was a new patient, yet was seen in only a few days. I needed surgery soon due to insurance running out, and it was taken care of with special attention by Dr. Zarett. The surgery center he uses is excellent as well, so comfortable and warm. The anesthesiologist was especially kind. But shining above all is Dr. Zarett himself. He goes above and beyond for his patients. Obviously... because I was a new patient, yet he took all the time in the world to talk and explain everything to me, to show me he cared about me and to let me know that I had alternatives to surgery. I knew I wanted the surgery, though, and although I was a bit apprehensive, I needn't have been. I had the same surgery done on the other foot 20 years ago with quite a bit of pain for weeks afterward. This time with Dr. Zarett there was little pain in comparison. Of course there was some pain, but the difference is incredible! There is also just no trumping experience. Dr. Zarett has been doing this for well over 3 decades. He knows what he's doing and he loves his job. It shows, because he so obviously cares about his patients. If you need a foot/ankle doctor, you will not go wrong with Dr. Jon Zarett.

No insurance, so asked about out-of-pocket pricing over the phone, and the receptionist was very detailed, even offering to call me back after getting clarification so I wasn't misinformed. Dr. Zarett was very friendly and comforting, seemed very knowledgable and experienced, and was very thorough! At the end of the appointment, the final bill came out to be quite a bit lower than expected.

The phone rang, then it was answered by an automated system, then I was transferred twice. By the time someone answered, I was thinking I do not want to go through this to make an appointment in the future. The woman who answered was pleasant. I asked her if she were at the local office or at a centralized location. She told me the latter. I told her why I started my calling process and why I decided I was not going to be making an appointment. I asked her if there was anyone she could pass my comments on to. She was silent. When I needed a quick answer his so called assistant sent me a email stating that if she needed anything she would let me know.She is the rudest most unprofessional assistant. My knee replacement seem to go well I had surgery on Monday and Thursday I had emergency surgery for my hole in my colon ( I should have died) my surgeon what the notes for my knee replacement my family called for 2 days straight no one answered my husband went there himself to get all my information. No one was at the front they were in the back having once again on a break, my husband got really frustrated that the lack of the professionalism . My husband is a very quiet man but this staff was taking there time getting the information that my surgeon was asking for, fyi his office tried to call and NO one was answering. To sum this experience if you are taking you mom or dad to seek help Dr Traub is amazing but you need to think about when you have a question or need a prescription refill or even a referral which is common after surgery you will spend many many wasted days trying to get this staff to do their job. For another time don't get me started on their billing mistakes they have billed me twice one was paid by insurance the other was denied brought to the accounting department not corrected as of today 4 months later.

When I got there Dr. Zarett knew exactly what to do and I was in and out, on to the rest of the day. It is no wonder that Dr. Spector is highly regaled in the sports medicine community. Upon checking in, my son was x-rayed and Dr. Spector had us seated and diagnosed within minutes. He then spent his time carefully reviewing the diagnosis, showing us images, and answering umpteen questions. We never felt rushed and although my son had a fairly grim diagnosis, we left feeling positive and upbeat that he could be healed with time and proper treatment. I would highly recommend Dr. Spector for any sports related injuries - it's no wonder why he's considered to be one of the best in his field, as both a podiatrist and a distance runner himself!
