To this day, we go there to purchase our spa chemicals. G&G on Haley in SB gets 5 stars. For some weird reason, there are 2 different Yelp pages, depending on the G&G branch, so while the Haley branch is great, read below for my experience trying to buy a Sundance spa from the Goleta branch. We decided to purchase a spa last summer to replace our old Jacuzzi. We went to Haley first to check out the local spa businesses. The staff was great. Super helpful, knowledgeable. They didn't have a spa that really spoke to us, but they were so professional, we thought we'd check out the Goleta store. The Goleta store was a mess. Some of the spas had water puddled inside (and they were inside the store). Outside, a recent rain had torn up their canopy and it was a mess that no one seemed interested in cleaning up. The guy who helped us was just okay. I got into a few (mostly) waterless spas and noticed some of the caps on the jets were missing. There were things like that... just messy looking, like no one was really paying close attention. We did find a Sundance spa there that we liked very much and asked the fellow for an estimate. He provided a rough estimate and a catalog, took my email address and said he would send a written estimate. I pressed on him that we wanted a spa installed in the next 2 weeks, before we had guests coming from Scotland. A week later and still nothing, so I googled Sundance spas and called the next closest dealer about an hour south of us. Turned out they deliver here in Santa Barbara. I had a written estimate that same afternoon. We negotiated a few fine points (the step, the cover, the lift, the colors) and by the next day, I had given them a down payment. A week later, the company from down south did an incredible job removing the old Jacuzzi and installing the new spa OVER THE ROOF OF OUR HOUSE! Check out the pics. These guys were total pros! We love the new spa and couldn't be happier with our purchase. In all that time, still no follw up from Gordon & Grant Goleta. About 4 months later, I got a PDF file from Gordon & Grant from the guy who helped us. No message, just an attached PDF. I attempted to open the PDF and thankfully, I was on my phone, because it was clear he had been hacked and the PDF was just malware, which my iPhone blocked. It happened again about a month ago. Got the same email with the PDF malware from Gordon & Grant Goleta. Just deleted it. I want to reiterate that the staff and store on Haley totally seemed to have it together, but they didn't have any floor models of the Sundance spa we loved. It was the Goleta store that felt tired and lazy.

We did bring up about the sand both to him and then to Yaz. Whoever is maintaining the pool when they do a backwash, it's important that they can address that issue. I could get into the technicalities of the install issue that we had Santa Barbara Koi identify and fix, but this would get too long. It is true and we appreciate that you could offer to come remove some of the sand when It was identified that too much sand had been put in during install. Then overtime that cracked a certain pipe and overtime it also created heater problems and is why we had to repair and eventually get a new heater. Then the new heater had issues that were super odd and that is when the other company who handles the warranty discovered the issue with the sand filter. Had it and installed correctly we would not have had the eventual pipe issue and the heater problems. If anybody really wants to dive into it, they can private message me. Jared , if you would like more insights about this you can talk to the warranty representative leader in town. I know you both spoke a few times about the issue. I also know that Yaz texted you these pictures in November 2018 but nobody seem to have addressed it until we got Santa Barbara Koi involved - when we had even problems with the new heater because of the sand. Also be very careful that he is not using photos of your property without your permission.
