Waiting for a refund for 2 weeks. I booked a journey over the phone on Sunday 31st August. The operator booked for the wrong day so this wasn't my fault. I had ready paid via the Airpay link. So I had to pay again on the day. I've been waiting for a refund since then, everyday I call 2 times a day to chase. I keep being told I'll get a call back or for me to call back at a certain time and no one is being helpful. They said I've been refunded but nothing has reach my bank account. Now its the banks fault apparently. Appalling customer service, the operator talks over me and doesn't give me an opportunity to finish speaking and then is rude to me. Please don't use this company. used the company this morning fine no issues, paid fare on arrival as standard as expected. when another taxi came to collect me later that morning he demanded cash and charged for using the card reader neither of which happened this morning with another driver, as there are already many poor reviews on google about Village cars taking double payment I was careful and said no I'll use card. the driver then suddenly demanded payment whilst driving when I said I'll pay on arrival as I did this morning with the same company he refused to accept. I called the office they confirmed twice that payment is due on arrival. the company have a recording of me asking these questions and of the company telling me as expected to pay on arrival. when i insisted to pay on arrival he pulled into a lay by in the middle of no where. Communication was terrible. Im a female alone and I was scared the office hung up on me and tried to only talk through their own personal number so it wasn't recorded on their company phone. As the driver was parked in the middle of no where I was too scared so I jumped out the car and called the police. they basically made up a policy that isn't on the website nor was practiced by their other diver. con men.
