My husband I were going to the pool on Mon and Thurs at 9:30am for the leisure swim. We arrived…read morethere this Thursday Oct 10 to find a note on the door that from now on at 9:30 on those days this slot will be for school kids. We checked their Facebook page and there was no mention of this. They also don't update their swim schedule online. So I guess since the pool is now run by YMCA that it is only their 'bottom line' that counts. It is going to be inconvenient to go at another time. We're seniors and have our best energy in the mornings. In contrast, kids have energy all day long. They could have been put in at a later time or better yet, why not have created a free space time just for them instead of taking away the pool's availability to the regulars who go there at that time. I also find some of the staff to be patronizing. I don't have any complaints about the pool other than that.

Looks so good on the outside BUT.... the change rooms at the pool are FILTHY. We went on a weekend and there were almost no float toys in the pool. The water features (some pathetic ones) were not turned on. Not a fun pool for kids. So boring. The showers suck - had to press the button to turn on the shower at least 30 times from start to finish. Most of the locker keys don't have any wristbands and the ones that do look like used hair elastics. Ridiculous. Their computerized debit system was not working and one of the employees told us this is normal for them and it needs to be updated and hasn't been. Really, whoever runs this place has no pride and does not care about servicing their community! I will be making the trek across town to the Chilliwack Landing Leisure center instead, or better yet, one of the other leisure centers (Mission is by far the best!) who actually maintain their pool and keep things clean and in top shape!

A two story building. Nothing too wow. There is a pool, fitness gym and a library here. Parking is…read morelocated on the side of the building. It is located right across from Guildford mall. Convenient to get to. It is open to the public for use. People even made good use of the hallway for hip hop classes. They offers daily, monthly and annual passes to use their facilities. It is inexpensive because this community center is for public use and is part of the BC public recreation centers (partially taxpayer funded).

The life guards were not doing their job and didn't notice my nephew drowning then grab onto me which made me drownd, but luckily I was able to get on to my back to get us safely to the edge of the pool where we could breathe and get all of the water out of our bodies. Now here we are 2 months later and my nephew won't go in the water again because he said "the life guards don't do their job" and is afraid of drowning again. BTW, a life guard did see us, she was casually strolling towards us as we got to the edge of the pool and just asked us if we were ok, as the pool water gushed out of our noses and mouthes. I did make a formal complaint but nothing came it. I also recently spoke with a guard for advice on how to support him with his trauma and the guard said to give him a floating device. So, its hopeless to expect them to care, because they don't.
