First our pool began to stain. He brought a chlorine pad to give to me to diagnose and it appeared to be removable. So I called his buddy who built the pool to no avail and Mike didn't appear to be interested in supporting us in getting it resolved. So my pool still has large ugly stains. The pool builder's review is next. Then our pump wasn't priming. No water was going in and the motor burned up. Mike or his helper would prime it, show my husband how to prime it, but after 18 months we finally understand theee is air getting into the system and god help us what it will take to figure that out. We're working with a new guy of course. Finally, we asked him to take over another pool out a vacation rental. We were low on funds and over due on paying his bill in fairness, but this is where we ended up. A guest checked in and sent us a pic of the pool: green. We called Mike and his guy came out and just added chemicals. We paid $350 for an emergency cleaner who had it turned around in 24 hours. He cleaned the filter. It was disgusting. No pool could have survived the neglect and Mike did not discuss the trade offs and potential outcome of what he was choosing to do to 'save us $'. I had to reimburse the guest for their trip on top of the emergency fix. Total cost $1,000. My husband complained about Mike's service for a year including how he talked to my husband. I will listen going forward for sure. I hope this review will help Mike be more conscientious and pay closer attention, communicate better, going forward.

His work was perfect and the pool came out great which had to be fit around an existing deck. His price was more than fair and beat every other installer I called . I would highly recommend a-1quality installs.

Jon is a very deceitful contractor, takes the customers money, makes excuses not to finish a job…read morewhen the original contract was signed over two years ago. Took my materials that I paid for over 17,000 to so call buy what was needed to remodel my cement pool. Broke into my shed, didn't wait to have me open it with a key, and left his so called laborers on my property, which most of the time were on their phones ... never communicated with me ... I went outside numerous times during the couple of hours they were there, and Jon never returned or touched base with me before taking all of the materials that were mine and paid for and became quite verbal and unprofessional through texts messages, instead of being a true businessman by responding by phone not texts. I've filed a complaint with the BBB and the AG s office for fraud and theft of deception which is a criminal offense. Don't be taken advantage of, Jon stole a lot of my retirement money and life insurance money I received due to the unexpected death of my husband ... disgraceful.... hopefully Karma bites you in the ass pal.

Duxbury Gardeners is the construction equivalent of a puppy mill. Good looking at first blush, but…read morefull of terminal problems. The list of failures would cause a doctor to lose their license, but fortunately for Duxbury Gardeners there is no meaningful licensure in Massachusetts. Less than a year in, the stonework separated from spa, a retaining wall failed, 10 plantings died and that was AFTER the construction woes of COLLAPSING the pool company's plumbing, cutting marked underground cables, the fire pit had to be replaced (twice - "it was a known defect", why put in something that is known to be defective???) and most notably running over the septic system line despite having been informed on location (and obviously having plans) - even after being told "you know - that's not a good idea" they asked my wife anticipating that somehow women aren't intelligent. Jason is a nice guy and good crayon drawer but this company is a pure nightmare. Hard to admit making a mistake that cost this amount of money, but hopefully it saves someone else some a bigger headache. This company will leave you with a lot more to clean up than just the cigarette butts they toss on your lawn.

We live on the marsh and are constantly exposed to high winds and salt. We wanted something that would look nice, be low maintenance and could withstand the elements. Matt gave us fantastic ideas! Best if all it is going to be a yard that will be maintenance free and look amazing year after year. You will be very happy with this company. They are so easy to work with, have great ideas and intall everything on a timely basis. Thanks for making our new home look beautiful!

BLUF: Lovely kitchen and home store featuring higher end items and gifts…read more LeRoux Kitchen is a stunning, inspiring store packed with high-end kitchen gear, fun gadgets, gourmet foods, and more. Like a better version of Williams-Sonoma or Sur La Table, it offers small-business charm and greater variety. From cookbooks and aprons to chocolate, glassware, and cutting boards, they have everything for the kitchen and tabletop, beautifully displayed with a well-stocked inventory. The Martha's Vineyard store is one of several locations in the New England area.

This store is VITAL to the kitchens of Martha's Vineyard! It's been here for many, many years, and…read morefor a reason: They carry the best, most complete and affordable selection of kitchenwares on the island! You can both get a $5 mug here and an expensive Le Creuset French Oven here, with everything in between. The selection includes a lot of white dishware, Le Creuset cooking items, lobster-themed dishes and serverware, a huge selection of coffee mugs with very reasonable price tags on them, cooking utensils, kitchen appliances, napkins, tablecloths, you name it! The one (major) drawback to this store is that they are NOT WHEELCHAIR-ACCESSIBLE and have a large front step, as well as a tall flight of stairs inside. It would be nice if they put a doorbell by their entrance so that someone in a wheelchair requiring assistance could let the people at the register know to come to the front door. Even nicer would be if they got an inexpensive, foldable metal ramp off of Amazon to put out in order to accommodate their wheelchair-using would-be customers. However, they WILL help someone out at the front door if they notice you there. I give them a little more leeway than I would for a business off-island, because on Martha's Vineyard, there just aren't a lot of options for well-stocked, affordable kitchenware stores. There's not much else to say, other than the usual Martha's Vineyard caveat: call ahead to double-check their hours, especially in the off-season. This is an excellent store, and I recommend it to anyone looking for kitchenware or a little island kitsch on the Vineyard!
