She was only 10 days old when she had her photoshoot. She had the cutest props and was well prepared for anything my daughter was going to throw at her, including peeing on her hand! Lyka stayed professional and just laughed it off! She is the most patient photographer I have ever met! And this is especially important for newborns as they can get fussy real quick. She didnt mind me feeding her in the middle of the session and didnt complain about the difficult prop I brought! She is overall amazing and I highly reccomend her to anyone. Ever since pandemic, i felt my kids trapped inside way too long and therefore, I wanted my daughter to express herself and of course to have an amazing senior year in high school this year. I wanted something special where she can remember and talk about it with family, and friends. I remember seeing other pictures in FLY and said to myself, I want my daughter to experience that and I want a good, open minded photographer who does not judge to take pictures of my daughter. Holly was so open to ideas, so patient and thoughtful during the shoot, and her assistant seriously bent over backwards just to get that perfect smile and laugh captured on camera! Her studio was neat and tidy, with lots of outfits and props on the side for outfit changes and changing things up. I just opened the sneak peak email I just received from the session, and now an emotional wreck. Holly's ability to artfully stage the sets, use of lighting, composition, and TIMING is incredible! During our maternity and newborn session she seemed liked she needed a lot of guidance from her colleague and seemed unsure of what shots to take. She gave me the impression that she didn't know what she was doing and it seemed unprofessional. We received our maternity photos within the timeframe she mentioned but it took more than a month for us to receive our newborn photos. On top of that, she got my baby's name wrong on the gallery. It was a completely different name even though I texted it to her! Our package also included birth announcements which she designed but it took even longer for us to receive them! I had to remind her about them more than once! She didn't consult with us on the design, she just kind of did her own thing with it. I would've liked to see a proof or something before she finished it. When I finally got them I wasn't completely satisfied with them but at that point I didn't want to deal with returning and redesigning them. Overall, I liked how our pictures turned out but I don't think I would book her again.
