We booked a maternity/newborn package with Jessica. Let me just say that she is such a sweet person, her pricing is affordable and her work is really good BUT I wasn't very satisfied with the service. During our maternity and newborn session she seemed liked she needed a lot of guidance from her colleague and seemed unsure of what shots to take. She gave me the impression that she didn't know what she was doing and it seemed unprofessional. We received our maternity photos within the timeframe she mentioned but it took more than a month for us to receive our newborn photos. On top of that, she got my baby's name wrong on the gallery. It was a completely different name even though I texted it to her! Our package also included birth announcements which she designed but it took even longer for us to receive them! I had to remind her about them more than once! She didn't consult with us on the design, she just kind of did her own thing with it. I would've liked to see a proof or something before she finished it. When I finally got them I wasn't completely satisfied with them but at that point I didn't want to deal with returning and redesigning them. Overall, I liked how our pictures turned out but I don't think I would book her again. read more

I wanted to use this photographer very much. Upon first contact she replied and was seeming like we were good to find a date for family photos. Then no reply. I emailed again. No reply. After the third time I gave up. A year later I thought maybe I'd contact her again... but again, no reply. This is just not professional. Out of office reply email? Or even saying you're currently booked out a year, check back after...? Or you're not taking new business? Oh well. Not sure what happened on either occasion but just not cool. read more

Highly recommend, I did a boudier photoshoot for a gift to my husband. Jessica has reasonable prices compared to others I priced. Not to mention, her work is great and she's amazing with lighting and capturing the perfect photo. I've also worked with other photographers that try to make extra income charging me extra per digital. Jessica gives you access to the digital files! Deff will be working with her again! read more

I am pleased to recommend Jessica Johnson Photography. When we had our third baby I knew that I wanted to have Jessica take his newborn pictures. I have at least a half dozen friends who have used her talent to take their family or newborn pictures. She has the eye, patience, and desire to get the right pictures for her clients. I love that she is a natural light photographer. This means you won't have the harsh light and super edited pictures that almost look fake. We had studio lighting pictures for our second son's newborn pictures and I can tell such a huge difference.
