It is definitely no frills, but the quality and speed make up for the lack of frills. Both times I have been, I was seen by Le. He is quick, awesome at what he does, and very thorough. He is extremely comfortable with fades and a straight blade. If you need a good, inexpensive haircut -- you've found your place here.

Their response was essentially: "We'll continue to charge your card or you'll have a balance." Um...no...American Express already blocked the charge due to lack of authorization. This entire experience from lack of notice to unhelpful staff demonstrates poor management and zero effort in customer retention. It's disappointing to see a long-time member treated this way. Goodbye, Boardroom. Clearly, customer service and loyalty are not a priority here.

Vinny's is absolutely AMAZING!!! I brought my 2 1/2 year old son who has autism and is very afraid of loud noises to him and we left knowing we found our forever barber! Vinny was so kind and patient when my son started getting a little uncomfortable, I was blown away by how well everything was going. My son has had bad experiences in the past with haircuts, I was even told by a woman that I had to calm him down and make him stop screaming or else she would refuse to cut his hair.. this was a place that supposedly "specialized" in working with kids with autism. It got to the point that I didn't want to take him to anyone and started cutting his hair myself because he would melt down so bad when they would cut his hair and not bother to try to cover his ears when the clippers were near or try to calm him down so I didn't want to put him through anything like that anymore. When I first contacted Vinny via phone and explained my situation, he asked me how soon I'd like to come in and I told him as soon as I can so he invited me to come in after hours when the shop was closed so it wasn't so busy that way my son wouldn't be scared with all the loud noises of the clippers and people talking.. I mean seriously, who does that? That right there had me in tears because he showed how kind hearted he is.. when I came in, the first thing he asked me what my son likes and what he can do to make him comfortable. His daughter who was running the front had a smile that could light up a room! She came and offered my son and daughter a lollipop after asking my permission if it was ok and chatted with my daughter while we were waiting our turn. My daughter stuck to her like glue, even following her to help her clean the restroom! She was such a sweetheart for entertaining her! Vinny came and introduced himself to my son, interacted with him.. my son turned to look at him and gave him a tug on his beard! Lol He even let my son walk around to explore and sit in an empty barber chair to get used to it. When it was his turn, Vinny showed him the clippers and everything he was using and when my son started getting upset, he switched over to scissors and talked to him saying nothing but positive things to let him how well he was doing.. pretty soon my son was so comfortable, he didn't even notice Vinny started using clippers on him! By the end of the haircut, Vinny was able to pick him up and my son squeezed him and almost kissed his cheek. He hardly ever lets people he doesn't know hold him, so this was a HUGE moment for us. I knew from the moment I talked to him that we would become regulars, Vinny and his whole family are absolute godsends, I will recommend everyone I know to come see them! Besides the staff picking on my New York Yankees defeat in the 2017 ALCS to those overrated Astros ... This barbershop is a 5 plus (+++...) star rating!!! You walk in and notice how unique this place is the soonest you step in. My first impression was, "wow, I'm going to pay an arm and a leg for a cut I probably won't like." Let me tell you all, after nearly 10 years of testing other barbers out and learning to cut myself (which i'm decent at, but don't always have the time or want to), I've finally found the HOLY GRAIL of Barbershops. Priced fairly, you cannot find any better place, trust me when I tell you this. I use to look forward to my flights back to my home town of Providence, R.I. for a good cut with my barber there but now I can travel home ready and "FRESH" if that is even a "cool" word to use nowadays. Vinny has been the one cutting me thus far and he is solid at his art, excellent work. I've seen the work of his other staff in my last two visits and man... this is like the Golden State Warriors of Barbershops. They have a dream team! In conclusion, I'm glad I found this location... "Experience" Vinny's Barbershop. This place is a MUST. With all that is going on these days this place is like an oasis. I was given "The Experience" as a father's day gift. I showed up at 8 am and to my surprise there were people streaming in for their appointments. They had their kids up early to make sure they got their cuts. As people and staff strolled in everyone stopped by Vinny's station with a fist bump or a hug and proceeded to their station. He welcomes everyone with a word and smile. Seats were full shortly after 8 am. The environment is such that you immediately feel welcome and comfortable. Away from the world for an hour. Felt like my personal Oasis. The clientele is a mix of all and very pleasant. Chit chat, laughing, and good humor was all around the shop. "The Experience" is a service that is well worth it. Over a month ago my 2 yr old son got the worst hair cut of his life at one of those kid's salons.....that I had to wait this long before I could bring him anywhere. My friend suggested Vinny because as she said, "I just sat my son down and Vinny did his thing." So I called Vinny yesterday and told him our problem. He was all booked up but came in 1/2 hr early before opening to cut my son's hair. He asked me a couple of questions and then we sat back and let him fix my poor baby's hair. Vinny's Barbershop is by far the best barbershop I've been to. The location is convenient in between both 45 and 59. You instantly walk in to a professional and clean setting with friendly barbers greeting you upon arrival. Every chair and station is clean with an old school barbershop feeling. Aside from appearance service is phenomenal with the opportunity to set appointments but the most important part is the cut. I've had several long term barbers but Vinny and his crew have the skillset to turn you away from anyone else and make you a regular client. This place is not only a Barbershop but it is clearly different from any other shop I have been to. From the time you walk in to a fresh aroma, clean building, smiling receptionist, and inviting atmosphere you know it's going to be something more than just a haircut but an experience. Love this place! Every time I go in, I know I can expect a chill atmosphere with a real family feel. Vinny keeps me looking sharp but what I love most is that everyone that walks through the door is greeted immediately. Vinny's Barbershop is my first stop every Monday morning. A cut, a beard trim and a shave gets me right for the week. This is a classic old school barbershop that always gets me mentally and spiritually right. Vinny's new private label beard product is great. I used the mahogany scent. It's the only beard product that I have used (and I've tried between six to eight off the shelf brands) that can actually smell throughout the day. The other reviews are right on point. This place was great. We walked in around 5 pm and were taken care of immediately. My friend from overseas was with us and didn't speak English that well. Honestly the hardest part about moving for many people especially men is finding a legit barbershop. It's hard to fathom but when you're at the right place you know it, Vinny took care of me, you can tell they are masters at their craft and pay attention to their craft. The atmosphere is EXTREMELY friendly. Smiles abound. I have been back 3 times since. Daniel was extremely kind and gentle with his service. I say that because I came to Houston for throat surgery. Happy to say, Cancer Free!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Kingwood Barber Shop!! Because they care about their customers and community.
