Received a $75 fee for not making payment in under 90 minutes. At redemption of service was not made aware that payment must be received in a specific amount of time. Owner was not nice or understanding. Made them aware that payment was coming soon (in under an hour) and still changed agreed upon price. Very dissatisfied with this company. Please don't use them. You are better off finding another company. Especially if you don't pay cash or by card over the phone. I agreed to pay my charge on line to ensure that I would get a receipt. I would highly suggest a more professional company. Especially if when you get a tow in a very busy day, you may not have time to sit down in your computer to make the payment right after it happens. We are from another state visiting family in MD, when we were hit by a drunk driver. As the drunk driver was arrested, the State Trooper asked Vinny's Towing to give us a ride back to Frederick with our demolished rental car. The tow driver could not take us as he had his girlfriend riding along in the cab. Not sure his boss knew about it. He rudely asked the other Vinny's driver towing the drunk driver's car to give us a ride. He reluctantly drove us to some gas station in the back of beyond. The Vinny tow driver texted the entire time we were in the cab, complained about the other driver and veered into other lanes twice. We lived through the drunk driver, but weren't sure we were going to live through Vinny's Tow. I know I am from out of town and it might have been a slight exaggeration, but I could hear the theme song from Deliverance, the entire ride. read more

Do NOT elect to have your car towed here after a terrible accident. My purse never made it to the hospital with me not sure how the Sherriff didn't have the whole purse just my drivers license (that was in my purse)so I called to see if Vinny's had it and he was not at the office to check AND they are only open M-F. I realized when I got home, 5 hours after the accident that my MEDICATION was in my purse! A very necessary medication! I have no debit card, cash or car and they refused to make an exception and open up to let me get to my car even though it is a medical emergency!! Terrible! had an accident back on february 1st of 2021. state trooper called in vinnys to recover the vehicle. the vehicle was totaled vinnys told me the 543 dollar towing bill would be taken care of by me signing my title over which i did on the same day. fast forward two april they submitted another 100 to my auto insurance and then submitted a bill for 848 dollars to the maryland insurance administration as a complaint. which was sent to my auto insurance to try and say that was the bill that was owed. if i knew i was going to be scammed out of my vehicle i would of let it set in vinnys for storage fees til the end of time. this is one of the worst towing companies to do business in the state of maryland. i would never use them. they have been reported to the DLLR and the state troopers for their business practices. read more

I was moving over the weekend and the Uhaul I had broke down. I couldn't reach anyone in Uhaul. My friend's mother went to Uhaul on prospect st to tell them I needed assistance. They dispatched roadside assistance (from Vinny's towing). He sat there another 2 hours with me waiting for Uhaul to issue a tow truck. Finally they did and Vinny's had a tow truck to us within 5-10 mins of being issued. The two young men who helped me Saturday were INCREDIBLE!!! Thank you both for everything! read more

Vinny's has recovered vehicles for me three times now: one motorcycle, one car, and one truck. Every single time they have arrived as fast as reasonably possible, the drivers have been very courteous and helpful, and they have brought the vehicle to the required destination very quickly (twice were home instead of shop). Vinny's is familiar with working with insurance companies for damage claims as well as roadside assistance. I have used many towing services in the few years and Vinny's has been leaps and bounds better than any of the competition. Seriously, I've needed a tow 6 times in the past 6 years and Vinny's stands above the others. If anyone has had a poor experience with Vinny's (I sure haven't), wait until you get towed by another company one day. You'll understand how hard this business is and see how much better they are than the competition. I just got towed again today (not at fault accident - other driver ran stop sign) and was quite relieved when I saw Vinny's show up! read more

Great service!!! I got a flat in my truck on the way to the hospital my wife was there she had gone in to labor with our daughter. I had no jack in the truck and it was the Wednesday before thanksgiving. After calling multiple places everyone had a 2-3 hour wait. Not Vinny's though they rushed a guy out. Vinny's Towing & Recovery winched my SUV from soggy and rainy grass that had turned into mud during heavy down pouring rain on November 6th, 2018. I was given a 45 minute quoted time before the tow truck driver arrived. The driver and his main office were very professional and courteous during the entire time I was provided service. On Monday, December 3rd, 2018, my SUV needed to be towed from another company's tow lot by Vinny's Towing because owner of the other company, Roger's Towing of Frederick, MD, was very unprofessional and rude when I went to retrieve my SUV that morning after a recent accident the previous Friday evening. The same driver that previously pulled my SUV out of mud arrived within 10 minutes of waiting even though I was given a 30 minute window and quickly got my vehicle away from a highly tense situation. I had towing done by Vinny. They said they take credit cards but after using the service 2 times, they use their personal cell phones to photo your card since they never seen to carry a credit machine or carbon copy machine. Don't let them use their personal cell phone since it can be shared or forwarded out to others. Arrange ahead of time payment handling and get suckered into them saying they don't have one or you need to pay cash. This is not a good way to do business on their end. We will not use them in the future. Beware. read more

Absolutely thrilled with their customer service, professionalism and follow up skills. I broke down 9" from my driveway while turning in... I was blocking the entire street trying to figure out the problem. I used Roadside assistance and was allocated Vinny's T&R with Robb as my assistance provider. Robb's customer service and professionalism where next to none. Funny thing is, I fixed the problem, I managed to kick the main power supply to my truck appart under my dash getting out to move the trash can in my driveway. I called Robb back and let him I would no longer be needing his services. I was expecting Robb to be angry since he had been dispatched and was 10 min away from rescuing me. He was not! He was happy I was safe and that I fixed my vehicle and asked me to call them if I needed them anytime. He really suprised me! I'd give them 0 stars if I could. I didn't have much of a choice when it came to going to Vinny's. My car was towed there. The next day, I called them to find out how much it was going to cost to get my car out. They quoted, both verbally and in writing, that it would cost $475 to get my car out as long as I did it before the next day at 5 pm. I then received a call from them informing me that I had been misquoted and demanding $50 more. No reason was given, they just needed more money to be able to release my car. I guess it is nice to take advantage of people whose hands are tied. I must say I didn't much appreciate their "kick you when you're down" style of business and I don't believe you will either. It is highly unprofessional to misquote fees for services rendered. I can only hope they have a great time with the extra money they shook out of me. Had to get my car towed tonight. Charlie showed up and actually took the time to try and diagnose the problem. Nice guy and I could tell he really cared about what he did. Wanted to make sure that by moving my vehicle it didn't do more damage. He realized that if he didn't get it off the ground, and isolate all the wheels, it could have done permanent damage. He had some slick wheel carriers and moved it to my garage of choice. No muss no fuss. read more

I cannot begin to thank Tweedy enough for his quick, friendly roadside service for my flat tire. He was accurate in finding my location despite my vague directions being that I was not local. My flat tire was changed quickly and neatly! He was so careful to unwrap my brand new car's jack and tool kit and put it back nicely after he was finished. He informed me that my donut spare should not be used to drive the remaining 200 miles I had to get home. He was able to suggest locations where I could take my tire to see if the could repair it, or replace it. Thank you so much for your service, and kindness. These guys were absolute live savers for me and my family! We were stranded on Hwy70 near mile marker 50 in Maryland at 1:30am and our insurance company called them to help us. They had an extended cab so my 5 year old and 8 year old my husband and myself could ride to the tire place to get a new tire. Jr. was super helpful and friendly! This morning I foolishly got out of my car without taking it out of gear and my car rolled over a curb and got stuck in the mud with just the rear tires on the pavement. I called GEICO, my insurance company, where I have included road service on my policy. They took my information and had a tow truck dispatched from Vinny's. They told me that the truck would arrive within 30 minutes. Well, the truck was 3 or 4 minutes EARLY (very impressive)! The operator, Charlie, was polite, professional and extraordinarilly careful with my car. He took his time surveying the situation, figuring out the best way to get my car out without causing any damage. It took Charlie about 25 minutes to get my car out but he did it well and caused no damage to my car. I never knew that towing (or recovering, as he told me my situation was) is such a detailed process. I must say that I was very impressed with Vinny's getting a truck to me quickly. I was also very impressed with the way the operator, Charlie, handled himself and the job he had to do for me. I would recommend this service to anyone in the Frederick, MD area whenever you have a problem with your car. In fact, should I need a tow operator again, when I call my insuraance company I will request that they send someone from Vinny's (hopefully Charlie). read more
