When I was in Salzburg in late May, my fiancé and I knew that we had to stop by for a schnapps tasting. This is one of the oldest family run businesses in Salzburg I believe and it was AWESOME! Everyone who worked there was so friendly and let us taste multiple of their favorite flavors before we purchased a bottle. We ended up buying a bottle of Saint Estephe, one from Chateau de Pez. It was wonderful. The next day around 5:00pm we realized that the next day was May Day and our wine store was going to close and we were almost an hour away. We called and were asked to call right before 6:00 if we were close. We called and actually walked in about 2 minutes before they were to close. So another bottle of excellent wine was in our hands for the next couple of days. A big thanks to the ladies that work so hard to please their customers. You will always be remembered. PS...the Poppyseed shot was pretty good. Look forward to shopping with you again when in Salzburg. Your wine selection is some of the best we have seen. Thanks. Highly recommend this beautiful shop. This place is tucked behind a building and we followed a sign on the street to get there on a whim…read more I walked in with a slide on the right and headed down the stairs. I was greeted by a great beer seller who knew that store back and forth. Craft beer is everywhere and from everywhere. It is the only place in Salzburg where I found a selection of microbrews. They even had some of my US faves. There is a lounge too where we enjoyed some great local craft beers. Definitely worth the trip!
