May 30, 2026 Folk…read moreArt Abounds at Stitchin' Heaven. I blame my Wife for this encounter. She is the cause of all this awestruckness visited upon me that fateful final May Saturday. It was a three and a half hour drive for us to get there from our house near The Woodlands. The Greater Piney Woods of East Central Texas between Huntsville and Tyler were a sight to behold and to this day, make me happy to be a Native Texan. Small towns, like Quitman, hide gems within their city limits. Stitchin' Heaven is one such place. Hitting the parking lot, you realize tuis is much more than a quilt shop. It is a quilters destination, a cloth clubhouse for anyone wanting to stitch up folk art. They have classes and retreats for those that desire to learn this ancient art of making bed coverings. We spent about an hour inside ... the Wife browsing, I, just gawking at the displays of true hand made beauty. Fantasy Quilts, Traditional ones, special themed ones all were draped along the walls to stare at and wonder. Wonder how someone could dedicate so much time and effort to achieve this work of love and art. I came out of there with a new appreciation of what thread, needles and a good set of shears can do to a bolt of cloth. If you are ever up there, stop by and just see the hanging quilts. There was the usual girl watering plants, didn't even look up to ask if we needed anything. I walked up to her and asked if they had the tree that I was looking for, she didn't even look up from watering, but said " I don't know. I haven't been here for the last 2 weeks!" She didn't even bother to put down the hose and look for the tree or even ask the owner. She just motioned where to go look. That is horrible customer service! After we went to go look, and found out that they didn't have any, we walked back out to the front & passed the same girl. Do you think that she would ask if we found what we were looking for?? No! Of course not! I honestly will not go back there! I would rather give my business to Lowe's or Home Depot.

On Saturday May 16, after being contacted by Sweet Impressions regarding a delayed delivery, I spoke with the owner and found the interaction very frustrating. I repeatedly explained that my concern was with JustFlowers and not with their shop personally, but the conversation became argumentative and defensive instead of helpful. As a customer already dealing with a failed holiday order, I was disappointed by the lack of empathy and professionalism during the call. I understand florists are overwhelmed during major holidays, but the overall experience left me even more frustrated with the situation.

His $208 shipping charge was outrageously high! I obviously would have made my own shipping arrangements. As I get my credit card involved, all this guy said to me is:"That is the shipping charge. I know you wanted to refuse the item, but if you don't pay, I'll sue you; I do it all the time to customers." All the time? Really? Unbelievable. Zero Stars! Zero Customer Service ! Not sure what anyone could say this isn't positive. I think they are awesome. I called today and the associate helped me with everything I needed right from the phone. Great customer service and excellent communication. Then and if you are creating a BOM, you have to know what you are doing so complaints flummox me. It's independent AND they have a phone to call, FB to ask, and go to YouTube too. Then, looking for BOMs to do, they have the most interesting. The value is good and on par with other BOM onliners. A group of ladies took a class recently at Stichin Heaven, and when we arrived, were unable to get…read moreinto our Cabin, we were given the wrong cabin number and no code to get inside. We had to make calls and, luckily, for us, someone was still in the building next door and helped us. On the day of the class, our instructor was excellent, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. We definitely were very pleased with her and her class. But Stichin Heaven did not put new blades in the rotary cutters, and we had a difficult time trimming our fabric. We were concerned someone would cut themselves on the dull blades. I just feel Stichin Heaven has very poor customer service.
