Organization is a little dicey at times, and you sometimes have to look around for what you want. Since it's all used books, you never know what you're going to get (like a box of chocolates....). All that said it's a great place to spend a little time browsing around see what you can find.

First off, every thing they sell is marked up crazy high, and most of the time you can find it cheaper either across the street at Vintage Stock, or for even cheaper online. They boast about their "sales" constantly when in fact the "sale" price is usually the standard market price for the item. I guess if you're stuck in the mall and just really need to overpay for a cheap t-shirt or scratched CD, this is definitely the spot! Second, about their FYE membership card. The card is offered to a customer whenever they are paying with a debit/credit card. IF THEY OFFER YOU AN FYE CARD OR MAGAZINES, TELL THEM NO. This is their way of offering you a "free" 1 month trial for the card (2 months for magazines) that saves you 10% in store, but what they usually don't tell you is that if you forget to cancel the card after a month, it will automatically start withdrawing money from card you used in store(11.99 each month). Usually there is no way to get your money back, and you're pretty much screwed. Don't let the 10% savings fool you. Third, also relating to the FYE Membership card scam, is their magazine scam. They promise 3 free different magazine trials free for 2 months. Now, after you agree and accept the terms for the magazines, the 2 month trial starts. Usually people don't end up getting their magazines for 8-10 weeks, already after the trial period has expired. So when you're supposedly getting your "3 free magazines", most of the time you will have already been charged for them, and won't even know it. Employees try desperately to get you to sign up for both the magazines and membership cards, because it's so easy for them to trick you out of your money, and because it's the only focus of their job. I really can't think of anything positive this store has to offer anybody, except people who are too dumb to know any better. If you're used to going into FYE, I would suggest a better store with better prices, such as: Vintage Stock, Starship, or even any independently owned music/game store. If you do find yourself in a situation where you do end up in the store, be aware that almost anything you see is overpriced, and be careful that they don't sign you up for one of their scams when you're checking out.

I have been on a search for a specific Pop vinyl Batman character for almost a year. One of the employees, (I did not catch his name, but I need to find out to give him credit) asked me what I was looking for. He searched their database and found it at a different store and asked them to hold it for me to pick up. I visited on 4/13 around 3pm. The workers here are great. I wish more places had the service they do here.

For a recent Halloween party, I decided that I wanted to give away a Halloween movie or two as part of a costume contest prize. I'll admit I don't even really buy movies much (not even with streaming), but when I have I've gone to Walmart or something. Well it turns out they didn't really have the movies I was wanting in stock, and I got nervous about where else I could possibly buy a physical movie... Then I remembered this place! I came here once with my brother and mom to look for some video game thing my brother wanted as a gift or something, and I remembered that they sold a good selection of movies. The people were very nice there too. Before I went all they way to the store, I wanted to actually make sure they even had the movies I was wanting. So, I called the store to see if they had them in stock. The worker I talked to was helpful. He was able to check on both movies easily. It did take him a few minutes to track them down, so I'm guessing they maybe don't have the best/ most advanced system in place, but I was still able to get an answer. I was super happy that they had both movies I wanted for the prize! I had them put the movies on hold for me, thinking I'd run in later that day to pick them up, but I lost track of time and that didn't happen. Luckily, they hold things for up to three days, so when I went in a day or two later they still had them ready for me! It was super easy to just walk in, give my name, pay, and walk out with the movies. One other interesting thing about Vintage Stock movies is that some are new and others are used movies. For the two movies I got, I ended up with one of each. At first I was reluctant about the used one, but when I asked if the quality was still good (since it was sort of a gift, after all) they told me that they check to make sure that everything is still in good shape. The movie prices are similar to other places, maybe a little cheaper, and especially if you get one of the used versions. I'll definitely remember this place if I ever need to buy a movie not online again!

It is a very large, spacious store with not only books but a music section, kid and toy area, and cafe. They had a big sale today with the whole store at 25% off but they had lots of items stocked, labeled, and organized and the staff was helpful and worked fast to make the lines move in a timely manner. The girl at the front had to call the GM, Alison, like 3 or 4 times to process my return. I explained ApplePay shows a different last 4 for security. She said she's never heard of that. Well I googled it right in front of her and sure enough found in my settings where it shows my card number and the ApplePay number it shows on your receipts. The 2 women working were SO FREAKING rude, especially Rosa, the one wearing white frosted eyeshadow like it's the early 90s. Have fun making $12/hr.

My son had some allowance money he was eager to spend so we thought we would check out this store…read more I first noticed the toys were priced quite high compared to other retailers. While shopping , my son was yelled at from an employee because he was too close to the exit with a toy in his hand (he was not stealing) but I'm sure that happens a lot so I didn't say anything. It scared him though. I was at the other side of the store and I heard it. I felt like we were being watched by both employees at every turn so I was anxious to leave. He finally decided on a remote control tarantula for $45! I let him get it though and the employee did tell me how I could get $5 off (sign up for texts). When we got it home it worked for a few minutes then wouldn't go forward. So we packed it back in the box to return it. Went today to return and, even though we have the receipt, they would not give us our money back. Their policy, as I was told, is that they can only exchange the item or do store credit if it has been opened. We didn't want to exchange the item for the same thing since I was thinking we would run into the same issue, so we bought some other overpriced stuff. I will never shop here again. I never thought I'd miss the Disney store but that was much better than this place.

Do NOT buy anything from this store online!!! I recommend HipComic, Lone Star Comics…read more(mycomicshop.com), Temu (yes, Temu), or any number of Ebay sellers over this establishment. I had ordered several preorders from along with other comics that were not preorders. I knew I would have to wait. I emailed them and they had said they would ship out the orders as soon as all items on the order were available to ship. I will attach all of my orders, emails and postage cost as images to this review. The first order I should have gotten were the Sirens: Love Hurts #3 and #4. #4 came out on 5/13 and they should have gotten that day per research I did on how comics are run and delivered. I didn't receive any kind of notification that the order had been shipped. I wait until 5/20 to send them a message asking when it will be shipped out. Rhilee responds that they are waiting on my other order and then they will ship it together. I have paid $6 shipping per order. They should ship separately, unless I asked them to ship it all together, which I did not. They never informed me that they would only ship out once a month, or whatever they were doing, since that would be overcharging me for shipping. I had made 6 orders with them and on only one order had I said it could wait until the other preorder that month was able to be shipped. They are OVERCHARGING me for shipping! I am very displeased about this and email to cancel all four of my other orders. Connor responds and states they will not be canceling the other orders and so I will not receive my money back!!! I've never had this happen before. Even when I have ordered from other comic book stores, they just ship out the order as it was ordered! Even if I bought something the very next day, they just shipped it! I've had a seller on Etsy offer to ship orders together, but then they offer me some money back on the shipping. That is not what this store is doing!!! Even after I wanted to cancel and they refused, they stated they would ship what I ordered that was available to ship right away. I paid $30 in shipping and only got some of my items! They have not offered any kind of money back due to this issue they have caused! I got the package today and figured out through the USPS website that they were only charged $15.10!!! I want my money back!!! Since they want to play games on when they ship out items, I only want to pay for the shipping when they are ready to do so! And I only want to pay the actual cost! I sell things online, too, and I don't do this to my customers!
