This is one of those feels for your unique side. Most of Route 66 shops, boutiques, and eat stops are unique. I am very glad Tulsa, OK brought in things that will either set your memories for the good. I am glad to also share a few pics of some things I seen, were inspiring. It's a museum meets unique store. A bit of something for collectors, and young at heart. I can understand why the hipsters, Tulsa lovers, and historical societies spend time on 11th St. if you feel like you belong, they'll accept you with open arms. I love that feel!! read more

Visiting Oklaholma for the first time for work, had a few hours to explore after landing at at the Tulsa airport and was recommended to pop by here - and such a great suggestion! This store is so fun! I bet it's more of a touristy spot, but it is worth checking out! It is very eclectic and something for everyone here. We bought a book for our kids about rocks. What a charming mini-museum! I found this place on Yelp and was intrigued by all the photos. My husband wandered the artifact rooms while I shopped all the kitschy delightful wares. THEN I visited all the art deco treasures. Daisy the museum mascot had taken that day off. We weren't in here more than 30 minutes. Kids will love the outside. What a great place. I really want to remember this store during the holiday season. Loved wandering from room to room. I found so much stuff I coveted for myself. However, I showed restraint and only walked out with three bottles of soda---ranch, pickle, and Buffalo wing flavored. Yes, you read that correctly. How were they? This store is adorable! We needed to kill time before dinner and so glad that we did. It's basically an Art Deco store for Tulsa gear and souvenir items. There's a surprise in every book case and area. If you go upstairs there's lots of items that would be perfect for a child's Christmas or birthday present! You can also purchase ice cream at the cashier counter! TIP: If you have 20-30 minutes you can tour the scavenger hunt! Just talk to the cashier about how to get started. read more

This place is amazing!! My adult daughter's birthday was today! Buying something for a person that has everything and that can afford almost anything is a challenge! This is where you go for those for those individuals, when you are faced with selecting a unique gift. The store is packed from the ceiling to the floor with unique, unusual, superfluous, frivolous, useful, beautiful, necessities, educational items and art! We went in earlier in the week and filled a basket with really neat "stuff." We mailed it to her just in time for her birthday. She was surprised and loved everything. The shop had an interesting assortment of items. I enjoyed the art deco items. The toys/novelty items were fine. My issue is that they have a metal item on the right side of the front door that too close. I injured myself leaving by scraping and digging into my arm. I visited his store yesterday after lunch with co workers. One of the ladies I work with took me here. It's an awesome place! Decopolis is a haven for the Harry Potter lover, the Star Wars fan, and anything else! There are so many treasures to be found! We both really enjoyed the store. Wow what an unexpectedly random and lovely store. We were here on a weird weekend where most of the gift stores were closed for some reason, so we somewhat reluctantly went to the Decopolis as a last resort, and we are so happy we did! Everything about this store is different. It is part quirky gift shop, part museum, part toy store, and there is probably something to fit any and every taste. While my wife shopped for Christmas gifts, I had a really great time reading about the city, the store, and the history of the area in the weird little museum section. I was hoping this would be a shop FULL of art deco things. I've got a lot of it in my home and I'm looking for more. While there are a few things, most of which are WAY out of my price range (a nice shiny lamp for over $300, for example) the store is mostly a collection of this and that...and a lot of it. There are a lot of things for kids, such as toys. Some make noise. There are things from Star Wars and from Dr. Who, lots of dinosaur things, games, puzzles, pens and such. There are a lot of books, little tiny books, old classics, funny greeting cards, and books of blank pages for you to fill in. There are quite a few items that relate to Tulsa, such as pins, buttons, tree ornaments. There is a section devoted to products for men's beards and mustaches. Upstairs are mostly more toys and games. They also sell sodas and ice cream. I bought a few items, which they held for me while I continued my self-guided tour of the city and picked up later. It's a very interesting shop with items you can afford easily, and items that will starve your wallet. I suggest a stop in. read more

We recently went to the "Meadow Gold Market Days" on June 5th. So many vendor booths and food trucks. While there, we ducked in to Decopolis. This is a destination that Tulsans and visitors absolutely have to check out. The Tulsa artist who owns this unique site has a great sense of taste for the cool and unusual. I challenge you to enter his establishment and not get caught in a time warp in which you find so many interesting items you lose track of time. This store used to be downtown and while we loved that store, this one on Route 66 is so much more visible next to the Buck Atom's Cosmic Curios shop right next door. He recently got his new neon sign installed which is perfect. FYI, the artist also operates the Art Deco Museum at 511 S. Boston downtown, which is free and another must-see attraction. We check out Decopolis once or twice every month. There's always something new and a great place for gifts for the whole family. Enjoy! read more

One of the most incredible stores I've been to in years. I can't believe I found this little gem in downtown Tulsa. To describe it is difficult because it's so many different things all at once. It's a toy store, with clothing, and vintage items, and collectibles and stuff you won't find anywhere else. And it will definitely make you want to come back. The only way to understand this place is to go in and wander around. But be warned; you will buy something. They have what you want. You were warned. read more

We stumbled upon this gem while looking for some candy castle downtown. You walk up to it and have a friendly cut out robot smiling at you and the moment you walk in ... just wow! What a unique place! It's somewhere you should goto if you have time to look around because at every turn there's something neat and new to find! I want to say it's got a little bit of everything. Something for the Harry Potter fans to the growing little archeologists. Upstairs is the designated kids area they have vintage toys! Probably remakes but still fun!! Prices are decent. The one you spend in there is priceless. Go check it out for yourself! They have locally made ice creams and soda pop with fun names that I can't remember at the moment. I wish I had pictures of this place but it was full of art and books and toys and games. There is musi playing when I came in t was playing pirates soundtrack. They have seating area in case you find a book and want to read it. It's a very chillar area and I began reading some Art Decor in Tulsa and its history pretty interesting. The owner of the store or person in charge at the time welcomed us warmly and was actually painting it looked real good not sure if he's also a local artist. If I didn't have a prior engagement I would've stayed there for longer. read more

Cool looking place with cool stuff, but the vibe was not so cool. Customer engagement failure! When we walked in, the place was empty of customers, but there were two employees who not only didn't greet us, they didn't even look up to acknowledge our presence. It wasn't until we approached the register with an actual purchase that one of them engaged us, and even then it seemed that we were bothering them. Good customer service doesn't cost anything, and it's easy. A smile, a greeting -- at least act like you appreciate us giving you our money. read more
