My email to ask for a refund a 2nd time
    Malikah H.

Had my wedding "postponed" due to the Covid-19 Pandemic that was scheduled for march. 70 guest, everything paid for and what do they tell me. Oh we can just reschedule this year... no...no we cant "just reschedule". But it's not like we had a choice, because if I didnt sign an addendum to reschedule within the next 48hrs, I would have either had to proceed with my wedding, with no guest, or forfeit all the money time and effort that went into this and cancel with no refund. So trying not to get fucked out of my venue and wedding plans, I signed. Now, all of us know this quarantine and social distancing will go on for a few months like the president and the CDC recommends. Here's my issue.. Not only are most of my guest from out of state they are mostly military. I cant just tell them.. okay everyone we might have a ceremony in june! Rearrange your priorities for me. Also, I was set to relocate in June out of Austin to FL. So when exactly would I fucking reschedule. How do I ask friends and family who got laid off to buy a plane ticket and hotel again?! I ask for a refund because THIS IS A FUCKING PANDEMIC, and they say no.. YALL HAVE NO FUCKING MORALS! . JUST FUCK ME AND MY WHOLE SITUATION HUH?! Trust me if yall dont get some sense and do the right thing, I'll take the legal route. Your contract doesnt cover WORLDWIDE EMERGENCIES AND MANDATORY QUARANTINES. I'll have the emails below. I blocked out the reps information because she really is a sweet lady and I know the decision isnt hers. Shes just the messenger.

    Mattress from the 50s?

Booked this room for my wife for Mother's Day, specifically because of the tub. Very pleased with the tub, she spent most of her time there. The lakeside view was gorgeous and I spent much time on the balcony. The staff were friendly and helpful. The shower was barely usable, reminded me of an outdoor camp shower you use to rinse off after being in the lake, Not something I'd consider using to actually wash myself. But that's not why this place lost 2 stars; the bed was awful, absolutely awful. We both tossed and turned all night and barely got any sleep because we couldn't get comfortable, it was hard and squeaky and the mattress itself looks like it's from the 50's. I know they are the "vintage" villas, but for $210 a night I expect a better bed. It was hands down the most uncomfortable night of sleep I've ever had. I would not ever EVER stay here again unless they got new beds, I'd get better sleep outside on a cot. I've stayed at motel 6 for $50 a night with a nicer bed than this. Beautiful views, amazing bathtubs, clean and quaint. I'm sure it's great for weddings, but unless you find sleeping on a stone slab comfy, I wouldn't recommend a night here.

Very disappointing. They had a great photographer take the pics of this place. Definitely not what the place is like!!! It's VERY out dated and strange. The place rooms need a complete overhaul. I'd say that Motel 6 would be better. The furniture and decor is weirdly put together. Old. Smells old and musty. The bathrooms need DESPERATELY to be updated. Shower terrible. Faucets terrible. It's not very clean. The sheets do not fit this bed...see photo attached. The picture of fruit in the bathroom is just odd. We we're almost spooked at this place. Won't be staying here again. There are lots of nice places around the lake. Pictures are so deceiving!!! I think the best thing I can say is that the grounds are nice... they use them for wedding pictures.

I recently bought a living social for this place to use on a little getaway with my boyfriend. After staying two nights we both seemed to decide it was okay, but not what we expected. The pictures online boasted lavish bath tubs and private balconies which are apparently only the king bedrooms and we had a queen. At first, we were in the east texas (?) Villa and our room didn't have a balcony and it seemed reminiscent of my childhood bedroom instead of a romantic villa. We asked to switch rooms and fortunately we could and our second room was somewhat better but didn't match the pictures online. The new room had a shared balcony with another room next to us. Also, there is NO ELEVATOR (that we could see anyway) so be prepared to hike. The walls were also paper thin and echoed everything. The shower in our bedroom was big enough to fit a small family which was nice. Aaron at the front desk was very nice and accommodating, and upon checkin we were given a couple papers with suggestions for good spots to eat and acticities to do which was nice too. Breakfast both days we were there was AMAZING, but other than that, not much to write home about.

My husband and I came here for an anniversary trip. I can not say enough good things about the Vintage Villas, we loved it. We stayed during the week and it wasn't overly crowded or at least we couldn't tell. Our room was spacious and the view was amazing from our privste balcony. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well. Breakfast was outstanding, its served buffet style and then the lafies fill your coffee or juice at your table! While there are no amenities, pool, fitness area, etc. We knew that going in and that wad never an issue. We enjoyed hanging out in our private balcony. Overall fantastic place to stay!

A very beautiful spot. Set up high to see Lake Travis. We wanted a B&B and we're booked for one at Robins Nest unfortunately she was over booked due to computer errors. She was kind enough to call around and found us a place at VV. This place is very nice with antique fixtures and some great taxidermy pieces which I highly enjoy. Great walk of the property. Decent Continental breakfast. Super nice staff. Couple of things that I did not care for or maybe it's just me. I won't let my rating be discouraged by other people's actions. It is a place where weddings are held. I'm not going to go into super details. I will say after getting down after a wedding till the weeee hours of the morning and drunkin different personalities will be an experience if you are there for a wedding. It was not quite. Hey I get it. I like to have a good time. Voices travel and it was loud and woke me up several times in my deep sleep. All in all. Very pretty!

What a surprise to find this serene getaway. We live in the area and this little getaway was quite the surprise. Beautifully kept, the breakfast room was beautiful and the staff is amazing. The view and stargazing was breathtaking.

Everything about our stay was great! The view is exceptional and perfect for any getaway from downtown. It was very peaceful and relaxing. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They answered all our questions of restaurants in the area etc. The breakfast the next morning was the perfect end to our stay. Everything we ate was delicious! Again, we had coffee service to our table and the staff was very friendly. We can't wait to come back!

I'd be worried about having it in the winter of summer because of the set up but what really forces us to go another direction is there is a lot of restrictions with vendors. You are presented with a list of vendors you must use. The asterisks indicate which vendors are not up for discussion. The ones that are not with an asterisk are still required but if you stray from that list she must personally interview that vendor and each person must have a million dollar insurance policy. As a person who has no family in town and planning everything by ourselves we just didn't have the time to devote to some of those rules. We didn't really get to talk about much else as we spent so long talking about the rules and importance of the liability insurance that there wasn't time to talk about much else. The space was pretty, It was set us an open air venue that can be closed off with glass. Basically a blank canvas because it would be all glass. Off ot the side there is a big tree with a wooden dance floor that had christmas twinkly lights wrapped around the tree. Seemed it would be lovely. Especially for a couple that plans to wed and have reception there... equipped with rooms for the groomsmen (a ground floor location near the pool with tv and videogames and bridesmaids (which was upstairs.. dangerous for heels but very cute modern space) For our needs, just needing a reception space it was just not for us. Also, I mentioned that I knew a previous bride that wed there..and as she recalled her she said, "oh the plus size bride"... OMG I would die if anyone only remembered me as the PLUS SIZE BRIDE. I just wanted to be remembered as a beautiful bride.. size need not be noted.... thank you. For other brides out there.. it is a very beautiful space.. prices are reasonable based on your total number of guests! dont rule it out till you see it. Just because it wasn't for me.. doesn't meant it wont be for you!

This caused my booking to be cancelled and I had to rebook and reverify. VERY inconvenient but everything got worked out. When you pay $900+ per night you don't want to be inconvenienced while trying to book. The Reserve is a nice community, but like all managed "premier planned" suburban areas they are very Nazi-ish with rules and enforcement. Again, when you're paying over $900 per night it's very off-putting and insulting to constantly be reminded of the rules. They treat you like you're a college kid trying to sneak and throw a frat party while you're parents are away for the weekend. Our rental even had cameras on the house that were actively being monitored (details below). VALUE: I don't normally complain about price so I won't do it here. Let's just say that this place is expensive. I voluntarily paid the money but it's a high price. HOUSE: Nice place, very clean. Premium decor - Texas modern rustic. Complimentary prosecco in the fridge upon arrival was a nice touch. Bring your own food/drinks/condiments (salt, pepper, etc.)/ice. All utensils for just about any kind of cooking and everything needed to have nice dinner parties were there. We had an issue with POOL: I did a cabana rental for 2 days at $50 per day. Rentals include a complimentary pitcher of beer or margarita per day. Pool was nice and in good shape. Lazy river, kids pool and infinity pool as well as swim up bar and snack bar are all part of the pool. You aren't allowed to bring any alcoholic beverages, food, or coolers into the pool area. They did allow us to bring an individual cup or water bottle. They will search your bags for food/alchohol/etc. if you bring large bags. LOCATION: Be prepared to drive 40 minutes to anywhere. There's enough restaurants, entertainment, etc. 45 minutes away. All-in-all this was a good place to stay. The main reason this is not a 5-Star review is because I was contacted by TurnKey with a threatening call because the management/owner were watching us on the Arlo/Netgear camera (Nazi-ish) on the back patio (there's a camera on the front porch and back patio) and thought that one of my guests was on the back patio smoking. None of us are smokers and it was insulting for them to accuse us of smoking (I'll say it again for emphasis... when you're paying over $900 per night).

The marina is treated somehow as well so that the cobwebs and spiders don't take over your boat and slip area, which is super nice and convenient. There is also room for outdoor kitchens and patio furniture at the front of each slip. People have grills and stuff out there too. I gathered that it is a thing to just hang out at your slip area and cook out with your friends and family and you may or may not even take the boat out. After we took the boat out and came back in we road the golf cart up to the lazy river. This is where it really started to feel like a resort for me. They have a decent sized lazy river that is so much fun! There is a swim up bar on one side and the bar opens to the deck area on the other side. There are plenty of tables to sit at and chase lounge chairs in the sun and shaded for total comfort and relaxing. I had a few perfectly made margaritas from the bar and had a wonderful time hanging out with my family and floating the lazy river! The Reserve property is actually pretty huge!
