There are two shopping centres in Northampton, and this is the larger of them. It's on 2 floors for…read morethe shopping, and then you can (sort of) get to the carparking using the lifts from within the shopping centre as well. I say sort of because the car parking there is a nightmare it's kind of split between two different sections and is really confusing if you don't know what you're doing. The shops are well to be honest a bit ordinary, all the places you'd expect to find and very little else boots, smiths, various clothes shops etc. The sort of places you find on most highstreets anywhere. There's nothing to make the place stand out. The market outside the doors is more interesting and now they're talking of removing most of that so poor old Northampton will loose half their market for some giant viewing screen or some nonsense.
The Grosvenor Centre is situated right in the heart of Northampton and is directly connected to the…read morebus station. As a shopping centre, it isn't a bad place to go with a lot of the big named shops being situated there. The main problem with the centre is the lack of originality with the range of shops on offer, but this is starting to become the case with most shopping centres now and it's rare to find an original gem of a shop on a high street or shopping centre. When you leave the centre this also takes you either right on to the market square or on to the main shopping high street. Unfortunately, it could do with a bit of an upgrade as far as the decor is concerned as it does look somewhat out-dated, which does let it down quite badly.

I'd say in sqm it's bigger than the M&S to give you an idea of space. This space means it holds all the ranges of New Look in one place. Critically this means kids and their 9-15 range for teens. These are the ranges often missed out in smaller stores. I think this is good, honest, cheap fashion. My kids like the clothes here - the boys are really well designed and quite unusual. You will ike it because the prices are really good. Think George in terms of price but I think the quality is better. For the girls the 9-15 range is good. By now they'll have left many shops behind - M&S, Next?, H&M? - and will want something they think more grown up. This range hits the mark at prices that won't break the bank. Look out for sales - very cheap then. Big women's shoe department - great range and really fun fashion. if you're looking for shoes for a night out you can't do better than here. Great Jeans - I've had loads of coments about mine and people are really shocked when I say where I buy them. Good accessories and range of womens clothes. Likewise menswear.

The clothing is good quality. I wouldn't say the are cheap, but you get what you pay for. They have changing rooms for men and women. The childrens section of clothing only goes up to approx age 10-11. They do sometimes have a few above that size. Above that size mostly you have to order off the internet. Upstairs they have a household section, selling items like lamps and cushions etc. You can order items online, for collection at your local store. The advantage is you can save on delivery and make sure the item fits.

So I didn't buy it but that doesn't stop me loving the shop and their style of clothing, they are obviously very up to date.
