I have a vinyl only release that I wanted on my iphone. So I ordered the vinyl straight to Vinyltodigital.co.uk office and asked to have the tracks ripped for me. Paid 10 english pounds for that (excluding the vinyl itself and shipping which reached near 30, no problem).
What I received was swift replies up until payment was received. After that I waited a whole month to actually get the rips, no problem as well.
But what I got was 3 tracks that just showed how lazy people can be. Side A was sent at 120 Bpm, natural bpm was 124. And two Side B tracks, playing at 160 BPM!! (also normally 124 bpm). So Im expected to further edit (and decrease sound quality even worse than it already is) because Terry, their representative, was in too much of a hurry to dedicate 30 mins to recording 3 tracks I asked for.
Of course I sent an email back, politely, asking why it was like that. No reply. So I posted on their Facebook page a complaint, they said theyd forward it to Terry (because I guess he doesnt check customers emails post payment). And this is the reply I received;
"Thats the best we can do"
Ya, thats it, thats about as much as Vinyltodigital.co.uk cares about their customers.
If you ever think about using this service, youll be throwing your money away. Very unprofessional and lazy. read more
