This was for an older rocking chair and ottoman that needed some minor repairs, paint and cushions repolstered. I planned on repairing and painting myself. So just the upholstery was needed. Other companies were quoting around $1000 for paint and repair, no mention of the upholstery. Another was $800 site unseen. Really? Ben quoted less than 1/2 after looking at the cushions and measuring them, he came with a bazillion fabric samples ready to go! He was very nice and answered all of my questions. Yes, this is a smaller job, but I didn't feel any less important. All told, took about 3 weeks and that was with a glitch with the fabric! I was very impressed with the professional job. Highly recommend. Cost was $45. Worth it because an LLBean rain jacket would have cost $150-180. Note: They do not take credit cards. I hope they change this because it will adversely affect their business. I never carry cash--it was serendipitous that I had cash on me that day. If I didn't have the cash, I would have looked for another tailor. Paying with credit and debit cards, and just holding our phones up to pay is what is expected now.
