We were paired with Clement from KWood to walk us through the process starting with the design and measurements. After providing our concepts, he worked with the precise measurements and throughly explained what would work and what wouldn't along with his design suggestions on balancing between busy and plain patterns and colours. We were very impressed with his prompt response and details on the work. Since we were on a time crunch (around the holiday), we set a goal to finish all the kitchen work within a week. At first it seemed there would be a delay but Clement came through coordinating with the parties involved to deliver everything on time. What was included with the package ($11,300 with tax): Cabinets, under-cabinet pot lights, countertop, under mounted sink, pots and pans rack, under sink garbage bins and spice rack along with installations What wasn't included in the package ($5,000 total with different contractors): Kitchen demolition, Kitchen faucet and installation, appliance installations, pot lights, additional receptacles, flooring and baseboard corrections, wall patch ups and paint, tile materials and installation for the backsplash. One area I'd like to see improvements on is the level of guidance for new home renovators. It would have been very helpful to know all the different work involved for a kitchen and what professionals to seek out for each. The following is our list of different professions we had to work with in addition to KWood: Electrician: Pot lights, electrical work for under cabinet lights and 2 additional receptacles Plumber: kitchen faucet (we bought the faucet and soap dispenser from Amazon) and dishwasher installation. General construction: kitchen demolition, dry wall patch ups, painting Tile Installer: Backsplash; we provided the tiles from Olympia tiles and non-sanded bright white grout from Home Depot DIY: Microwave installation Overall we were very satisfied with KWood's delivery based on what was agreed upon and would definitely work with them on future renovation projects.

I purchased engineered hardwood through Nick with an installation date of Oct 29/30. I was living…read morein a hotel due to a flood and was not in my unit when the floor was installed. When I moved back in on Nov 12 I discovered glue all over my floor, chips, scratches, dents from dropped tools, holes and saw marks and none of the doorstop moulding they applied was installed correctly. To date I have sent photos to Nick 3 times, spoken to the manager who appears to be completely out to lunch and have called Nick numerous times to have this resolved. each time Nick promises to call be the next day at a particular time to resolve the issue and to date he has not called back once, I have to keep calling him. The installers were Adam Kharaman and his son from Kharaman Flooring. I asked Adam to come back to repair the floor and remove the doorstop moulding so I could have another company come in and do the job properly, he removed most, not all, of the doorstop and destroyed my baseboards, which will now also need to be replaced. I had to ask him to remove the nails, which he said he would hammer in. He did sort of hammer a few over, but most of the nails are sticking straight out of my baseboards now. The floor has not been repaired and replaced where necessary and every time Adam comes into my home he causes more damage and is now not allowed back. Take a look at the photos and decide for yourselves whether this is a job you would want done in your home. So far, I have been offered a"free" box of flooring, which does me no good since A) I am recovering from a spinal fusion, and B) I"M NOT A BLOODY FLOORING INSTALLER; I PAID FOR A BLOODY FLOORING INSTALLER TO DO THE JOB! I want this done so the restoration from the flood is complete, and I can move on with my life. At this point, I'm going to have to get a lawyer involved. This whole experience has been a bad joke. UPDATE: Jan 06- Nick Granita made an appointment with me to come out this evening at 6:00 pm to take a look at the shoddy workmanship and discuss repairs, as expected; he did not call or show up at my home. UPDATE: Jan 07 - I called The Hardwood Flooring Store and asked to speak to the owner; Ron Ander who told me he was with a client and couldn't speak to me and then had a meeting but would call me back in 45 minutes. Fair enough, but as expected, like NickGranita he did not call back to discuss the issue. UPDATE: 08 - I just spoke to Ron Ander who tells me this has nothing to do with him or his company and unless I remove this revue he isn't going to do anything to have the the job that I paid for completed and that he's going to post a response saying that I'm some sort of crank. Well, Mr Ander, Kahraman Flooring was sent out by your company and as the owner the buck stops with you. I have been trying to come to some sort of resolution since Nov 15 2024, this review wasn't posted Mid-December, your company had plenty of opportunities to turn this around but chose not to. Again, look at the photos of their work and ask yourself who the crank is and if this is the kind of work you would want in your home. My project coordinator, Alex, was unprofessional and difficult to work with. Because the on-site contractors did not speak English, I had to rely entirely on Alex to relay instructions, which led to major misunderstandings. For example, during the installation of a glass shield, it was clear that Alex and the contractors were not on the same page. I immediately called Alex and requested that we hold off on that portion for a couple of days to sort it out. He dismissively told me, "No, we're doing it now." Predictably, the glass was installed with extremely poor quality and would not have lasted a year. While the manager, John, eventually stepped in and replaced it, the situation should have been avoided entirely.Furthermore, I experienced pushback from John early on. I purchased veined tile and wanted to review the layout beforehand to ensure the pattern flowed correctly. Alex told me that the installer, Ethan, only lays tile and does not handle the design or layout. When I tried to oversee this, John accused me of "micromanaging" and told me to just trust their work. Unfortunately, my instincts were correct--the final floor tile layout looks completely uneven and poorly planned.To make matters worse, I was charged an extra $500 to install a floating vanity, which they mounted far too high. I literally have to stand on my tiptoes just to lean over and brush my teeth. When I brought this to their attention, they blamed the issue entirely on the plumbing. I have since had an independent professional inspect it, and they confirmed the plumbing was not the issue at all; it was simply a bad installation.I paid this company in full, but did not get the quality or outcome I was promised. They offered zero compensation or partial refunds for these permanent mistakes. Please be very careful if you choose to use this company for your remodeling needs.

My family purchased a king size bed for about $3500 and it was very nice. The staff at the store…read moregets 4 stars for their service. The bed and quality gets 4 stars. The reason I gave this review 3 stars is because of the assembly of the bed. They had two men deliver the bed and assemble it together. It was not done right, drilled extra unnecessary holes in our wall to hold the headboard. Although these extra holes weren't visible after the headboard gets mounted but this shouldn't have happened if they were professionals. The headboard should have been mounted flushed to the wall form top to bottom but the way they did it was only flushed at the top and the bottom part of the headboard slanted and touches the wall. However the mistake was forgivable as these two men worked really hard to put it together. They initially came in our house and said it would be a very easy job that would take maybe 1.5 hour but ended up taking them over 3 hours. The other reason I didn't give it 4 stars was because we had requested chrome legs for the bed but instead the wrong type of legs came with it. Though it's a minor issue but it did cause inconvenience as one of us had to take work off to physically be home when they had to come back to the house to reinstall.

The $150 also goes towards your purchase. I found their selection of fabrics and colours to be limiting. Their prices are pretty ritzy so those who are price-conscious should head to Ikea instead. With that said, they do have a some pretty cool furniture, like sectionals that lock together magnetically to prevent the slip and slide effect (which is most likely to occur when you're at your drunkest). Their interior decorators are relatively young, and in my opinion relatively inexperienced. Of course, you have to take that with a grain of salt as their ideas are only as good as the line of products carried by the store.
