Pretty good for a Priority Pass lounge that is open 24 hours. This lounge per PP conditions is for "Schengen flights only" so if you are flying direct back to the States from Madrid, I don't think you can get in with PP. We had a 6am flight out of Madrid to our connecting flight to Frankfurt prior to getting back to the States. It wasn't the easiest to find at the airport, we had to ask for help. Pros: fairly large with plenty of seating, great drinks selection, clean Semi-con: no hot food options for breakfast - only cold cuts, bread, pastries, fruit, yogurt, packaged cold sandwiches. This is typical Spain breakfast food so it is normal but I'm always sad when there isn't any hot foods available. read more

Pros: Huge lounge, lots of space, lots of seating. the beverage options are plentiful! self-serve alcohol. restrooms are nice. Cons: We came in around 11am-ish and they had pastries out and cold cuts so they were still in breakfast. I was expecting to see eggs or something but they had no hot food options. I asked one of the staff when they would have hot food and she gave me the most stank look!! and grunted at me, HUHH?? w/the facial expression to match. She was so rude. I asked the question again in Spanish this time, and she rudely snapped at me and said (in Spanish) no hot food until 2PM! and stormed off. I later realized that I misunderstood her or maybe she didn't even know. But anyways, as I was serving myself the cold cuts, I accidentally put the tongs back in the wrong spot. This same rude grunty woman came up next to me, grabbed the tongs and literally SLAMMED them hard onto the tray and walked away. it made such a loud awful sound! As she walked away, I did not hold back and I yelled at her in Spanish, "WOW WHAT A RUDE WOMAN!!!" and other people looked up. She just kept walking. I had another opportunity to tell her again and yeah I did tell her. Not that I was looking for her, but she just happened to be in my path. They didn't do a good job of taking away dirty dishes from the seating areas. There were stacks of cups and plates and bowls, trash, and empty beer and water bottles everywhere. It looked really sloppy like the morning after a party. At about noon, they brought out some hot food items, and more dishes to stack. Dessert items were meh but there was only 2 options, a strawberry cheesecake and another, I can't remember. it wasn't memorable I guess. Wish there'd been more dessert options and hot food options for breakfast. read more

I've been to quite a few lounges and this is by far the best I've ever been to. We weren't expecting to find a lounge during our return flight back to the United States until we heard some other VIP's talking about it, so my husband and I followed suit. We are so glad that we did! The food buffet looks so fresh and cleaner than the usual lounge food. And the selection were amazing! They have plenty of bottles beverage selection. Sometimes it feels like everything is better in Europe, including their airport lounges. Finally a lounge that feels like a lounge! Plenty of seating, its big so you aren't feeling cramped. There's actual FOOD rather than sad jail food aka nasty sandwiches and a bag of chips. They don't have strange hours...I can't tell you how many times I've been met with "sorry we're closed" signs back in the states, like yoooo flights happen all day not just from hours of 8 to 10am. Pro tip: Grab a bunch of food from here to go for your connecting flights. Security in europe is more lax if connecting domestically! read more

Nice lounge!!! My flight was delayed and we have Priority Pass, so this was a great perk. Located in Terminal 2 around the D gates, this lounge has plenty of seats, a great coffee machine, good snacks, food, and nice wine, beer and soda. Good WIFI and the employees are friendly. As a priority pass member, I was sad to see on the app that there was only one in terminal one at the B Gates and my gate was C. But as we continued walking, we saw this one upstairs and since my dad as the sky lounge pass, we checked it out and found out they accept priority pass! Only plus one guest for each card. This was a pretty huge lounge with tables and chairs, bar seating, and comfy sofa chairs. The food variety was huge! I loved how for their hot foods, they put it in individual bowls for you. They had soup and chicken and pork stews. Lots of drinks for you to pick from - bottled soda, sparkling water, beer, and wine. Coffee was one end. They also had packed sandwiches that were pretty good with the crusts cut off. Great lounge to stay while waiting for your flight! They have the TV's to let you know where your gate will be. read more

This VIP Lounge Puerta Alcalá might be the best lounge I have ever experienced in Europe so far. The lounge was wide-spaced, bright and clean; there were a great variety of food with authentic Spanish food like jamon, tortilla... etc. We were there during transition time from afternoon snack to dinner and they also served warm dishes which were tasty. The only complaint was the wait, the line was super long during 5pm on a Sunday but the receptionists were nice and patient. read more

This is a really, really nice and spacious lounge. That is if you can find it. The elevator that brings you up to this lounge is tucked behind the restroom passage ways, near a duty-free store. The Priority Pass website stated that the location is close to Gate D62 when in fact it was closer to D58 so I initially missed but when trying to retrace my route there were no signs to lead you back to the lounge. I eventually found the other entrance which were stairs with no adjacent elevators. So just saying it could be tricky to find. But once inyou will be impressed. I was there around 6 am thus there was no crowd. Very spacious, very modern and contemporary design. They had a great variety of breakfast items- yogurts, cereal, pastries, breads, cold cuts, etc., and great variety of beverages. I agree with one reviewer it's better than many we have at home. Too bad we don't have too many of these airport lounges in the US. I'll make sure to give this place visit when I'm at this airport again. read more

While leaving Madrid for our flight to Zurich, we stopped by Puerta Alcalá. Right after exiting security, it took a while to find the lounge. We ended up going in circles but then realized the lounge is right by the security around D58 (look at the airport signage rather than the priority pass app instructions). The lounge was fairly empty around 8 AM on a Monday morning. Breakfast options were out including yogurt, assorted bread and pastries, jamon, coffee, and even cold sandwiches to go. The lounge is extremely spacious with great views of the runway. Overall, great lounge to visit and a nice one to spend the time before your flight! read more

Clean, with different comfortable seating areas with good views of the tarmac and some mountains. It's not very large and can get crowded and bit noisy, but a decent place to relax with some snacks and beverages. I took off a stars due to lack of fresh food options and limited variety. For breakfast "buffet" all they had was doughnuts, muffins and some yogurt. Also had pre-made sandwiches in the fridge, but nothing fresh or warm / hot to eat. Took off another star due to not enough staff here, food scraps sit around for a while before someone picks them up. Also had to wait 20 mins in line to get in when it opened up, because the management put only one person to check-in everyone, when my guess is every morning people would line up right before opening. They need to add extra people, so they can get folks in fast. Sodas were warm, there was ice bucket nearby, but no tongs to pick up the ice. No staff in sight to ask for it. So minor fixes and better food options for them to get to 5 stars. read more

Very nice lounge, modern with lots of food and drinks to offer. The lounge is shared by all major airlines. Their internet access was a bit slow but it was free. They had a huge selection of wines, water, milk, coffee, small appetizers, sandwiches and cereals. We were there only for about 1.5 hours while we waited for our trip to Rome but it made the wait bearable. Would definitely recommend to use if you have the opportunity. read more

Massive, modern lounge which was mostly empty. Great views of the airport apron and various aircraft. Ample food and sandwiches that you could easily take on your flight. Wine, beer, cold beverages, clean bathroom, I just wish lounges could be like this back home. read more
