I used the cardio machines, the pools, the sauna and steam room during my free trial. The pool was warm and clean, and was pretty quiet whenever I went there. The cardio machines were good, but some of the bikes didn't work properly which is annoying. I liked the changing areas and the showers, nice and warm and very clean throughout. I'd love to join, but £51 a month off-peak is too much for me at the moment.

It was very lively too, with lots of people making use of the facilities. One weird thing is that a one day guest pass was £12 yet a 5 day one was £10 - go figure!

There are two gyms (general and women only) along with a separate free weight area, and one studio. There are two pools, one of which is outdoors. This is lovely in the summer and a big hit with families. The main thing that distinguishes this from other gyms are the tennis courts. There are two types of membership. The cheaper option is the Health and Fitness which is everything except the tennis, and then there is the full membership which does include the tennis. There is a lovely club area with a costa coffee and a nice air conditioned lounge.

Also has a sauna and streamroom to chill out in after a workout. Members are all very friendly and owner/head trainer is very helpful and always happy to offer advice. All in all this is the best gym Ive been a member of and working as a Chiropractor I often advise my patients to join.

Although this gym is unisex they do have a small ladies only section if you feel particularly uncomfortable. I was a student at the time and they totally took advantage of that. They charged me unnecessarily and when I confronted them about it with my receipts and bills they said I would have to take it up with the "manager", (who was never there). The receptionist could see my evidence was solid and agreed I was wronged, but refused to help me and kept saying "wait for our manager". After months of waiting for this "manager" person, eventually, I finished my A Levels and left Northampton. And lost about £100 to them.
