Would have rated this a 5 but the price they charge for the entrance, cottages, and the food felt like a ripoff. Virgin Island is one of the two more popular island hopping destinations in Bantayan Island. It's accesible via a 15-20 minute boatride (php1200-1700) from Bantayan Island. Once you get to the island, you will have to pay php250/per person for the entrance. Cottages are available for a fee of php300-500. You can choose to bring food with you (we didn't) or order from the canteen. Menu has both popular local and international dishes and cost around php250-300 per serving. You won't be doing much here save for swimming and perhaps taking some selfies but the place is perfect for those who want to take a short respite from the hustles and the bustles of city living. Oh, and smokers should buy a pack of cigs as it's almost always sold out in the island. Would I recommend it? Yes but only if you want to experience the thrill of island hopping. read more
