I recently had some rather extensive dental work done by Dr. Woodard at the Colony Crossing…read morelocation. I was given the option of a local or general anesthesia. Admittedly somewhat hesitant, I chose a local only. Dr. Woodard made the entire procedure pain free and was kind, communicative and thoroughly professional at all times, as was the assistant. Being relatively new to the area, I 'tried' two other dental practices before going to Commonwealth Dentistry. I will not need to look any further. The entire staff are the ' best of the best' and I can't say enough about the quality of care with Dr. McKenzie Woodard! Thank you!

From my initial email inquiring on service I was able to get in for a new patient appointment and cleaning. My appointment went great. The staff was all phenomenal and polite, and the actual dental work was exceptional. I felt it was very thorough and left feeling confident that my smile is being taken care of. I was also able to get in next day to get molds for a much needed new retainer, as the one I had was falling apart in my mouth. Everything went great and super quick. I was in and out. Even with my top set giving us trouble, the staff hung on and never lost patience. Wonderful. If you are in the market for a new dentist, look no further. Commonwealth Dentistry is the best!

Seems as if office…read morestaff when you call to cancel an appointment decides to cancel not just that one but another for 2/26/2026. I only asked to cancel an appt for 10/14/2025. So when I showed up today as it was on my calendar I was informed that I didn't have an appt. Took time to rearrange my day for this appointment. Walked out seething . Called asked for office manager who did call me back who tried to explain and twist it like I canceled my appointment... didn't feel like I was given a true apology. This wasn't my 1st time with appointment issues. I suppose when your business is so large and have numerous locations and long waits for appointments that quality of customer service goes down the drain. Customer loyalty too isn't important either. Well I won't be recommending you anymore in the future if anyone asks me for a dental group. You can say what you want but trying to be a spin doctor and lay blame on the customer when your staff assumes to cancel future standing appointments without asking and confirming is INEXCUSABLE!!!

Dr. Doss is great, she's attentive, never makes you feel rushed, and actually takes time to explain what's going on. If something comes up and you need to get in quick, they work with you on that too. The staff is great as well, they are all very helpful and overall just kind, sometimes that is hard to come by. Honestly if you're looking for a dentist for your whole family, this is the place, it is nice they have several locations but this location is our favorite.

An appointment was made for an Surgeon and I had the most painful dental experience ever. It took so long I regretted having it done. I was not offered any way to wash my mouth out and No stitching was done to close the area and I drove home blood clotting in my mouth and on my clothing. I will never go there again and I don't recommend you do either unless you plan to pay for expensive painful service.

Settle in for a long and frustrating read. I have never had a worse experience with healthcare…read more"professionals" in my life. I went in for a routine cleaning. They said I needed a crown. They ran my insurance and gave me a breakdown: I would owe about $500 after coverage. I signed the document and agreed. Then the crown turned into a root canal, handled at another location. They ran insurance again--this time I'd owe $180 more. Again, I agreed. Back at the original office to finish the crown, I went through five appointments. Only after treatment was finished did they tell me there had been an error entering my insurance information. As a result, insurance would cover none of the $3,200 total. Five painful appointments. Two locations. It took them weeks to notice the error. They admitted it was completely their fault... and still told me I had to pay in full. No accountability. When I spoke to the office administrator, she had already printed out scanned consent forms--clearly ready to deflect. She repeatedly said, "It's the patient's responsibility to understand the details of their coverage," as if it were my fault for trusting their staff. The idea that patients should be responsible for catching their mistakes is insane. Imagine discovering your bill is six times higher than you agreed to. This is clearly unethical--but sadly, legal. Treatment was done, and I had no way out. They had me exactly where they wanted me. In any other industry, this would border on criminal. But there's no law protecting patients from negligent dentists and clueless office staff. We argued for two weeks. Eventually, they agreed to cover half the balance--leaving me to pay $1,900 total (including the $800 I'd already given them). I just came in for a cleaning. Now I'm out five painful days off work and $2,000--with a root canal on a tooth that never hurt before. Other problems: The dentist was terrible at numbing. I had to stop her multiple times due to pain. The cleaning took forever. Their handheld x-ray machine malfunctioned--they fired dozens of x-rays at me trying to get it to work. Not sure that's safe. The hygienist's Dremel tool exploded while adjusting my night guard. Debris flew everywhere. No one was hurt--but it was a fitting end to my time at River Run. Avoid this place. They'll hurt your mouth and your wallet. But hey, at least they offered me a blanket.

They treat us like family and have been so patient with my anxious daughter. Our first dental visit 4 years ago, my daughter was inconsolable- scared of everything, kicking, screaming, crying. The staff remained calm and patient while I was tempted to never show my face again My daughter now runs inside because she can't wait to see her favorite hygienist. Dr. Victor is so gentle and explains everything he's doing so it's less scary for the littles. My kids leave with a whole bag of goodies, reward coin and a bubble dance party! They know what they're doing there. So grateful to find a group of folks that love what they do and meet us where we are.

My son had to be put to sleep at the hospital to get a few caps put on and one cap was placed too deep so his gum has been swollen for years since and one cap on his back molar is too big which traps food. There was one incident where we got our appointment canceled without being notified and we drover over 1/2 an hr drive there just to find out they canceled ours last minute for an emergency which was a bit upsetting because we were extremely tired from work having to drive that far.
