They got me comfortable and peripheral help was so very close by! From the ER Dr to Jason, Sebastian, they, in-turn kept me and my wife welcome and with a healing goal ahead. Everyone shined including the "transporters" When I was admitted we met RN Mei. The one and only to me is my wife; Sofia. What, I hope will remain, is the courtesy they afforded my wife. When a spouse is admitted to a hospital.... The hospital must treat both. What helped me to remain calm in this situation was the fact that the nurse (PNA Oberly [forgot the other PNA]) hospitals are cold and the offering of a warm blanket goes a long way. One issue and one issue only.... My neighbor drove me to the hospital and we were confused as to which entrance to enter into. My wife and I were left banging on the doors without a clue of where an entrance should be. MANY SAW US KNOCKING BUT NO ONE CAME TO DOORS TO RE-direct us!! Other than proper positioning for the entrance all was suburb. I understand security but I do not understand ignoring people in distress. I feel that if you are in a health distress IMPERIAL POINT SHOULD BE YOUR PICK! Amen!

The front desk has changed from when I started there but I was so happy to see Sandra's face when I walked in! She welcomed me as if I had never left and helped make the procedure of returning a lot easier than it usually is. Within minutes I had my two appointments; one for lab work and the other to see the doctor. I went back for my lab work and it seems she is now doing the work of two or I was missing something but she certainly was/is efficient at taking my blood, etc. Even was nice enough to NOT ask me to get on the scale--come on, who wants to get on the scale right after the Hanukkah/Christmas/ New Year's period?!? (At least I knew I had a week to get some of the weight off before I had to weigh in!) When I first went to Senior Medical Associates I had a male doctor but shortly after I found myself faced with Dr. Abigail Lomarda. Okay I am old school at 81 years old and though I have always been pro women I had never had a female primary doctor. Within minutes the other doctor was forgotten and when I returned this time I was very happy to see Dr. Lomarda. She is always ready to listen to my complaints--and what old people don't have them?--to explain different illnesses I have (and I have them!), to go over my test results so that I understand what is going on and, if need be, adjust meds. I will still have transportation problems--heck I finally got a cell phone just to get the uber app--but I plan staying with Sandra, Dr. Lomarda and Senior Medical Associates. Now if I could only get them to throw out the scale!!

Went to the Midland website to book appt as new patient and was forced to use their 3rd party booking system to give all my personal information and medical information. I received confirmation by the system as well as Midland that the appt was confirmed and received updates/reminders for the appt right up to the appt time. When I arrived in the office I was told there is no appt for me and they don't have my paperwork. After insisting that I have confirmation and showing it, the Manager came over and told that they do have the paperwork, but she just received it yesterday from their system. I filled it out several days prior - not really my problem and no one contacted me to say there was a problem, which is why I took time off work to go to the appt. The manager was more interested in blaming me and arguing and when I was begging for resolution and to see someone else, she thought it was appropriate to tell me she could get me in at 1:30 but I wasn't listening to her so now she felt I wasn't a fit for the office! Really, you're supposed to be here for the patients' well-being and your office made mistakes, made me believe I had a confirmed appt, but now you're going to be spiteful and deny me to see the doctor? The receptionist even had enough decency and humanity to see this was wrong, she said we'll rebook you with a different doctor for 1:30pm. I go out to my car and cancel some meetings to return to Midway at 1:30pm. I get a call ten minutes later saying the higher up manager Angelica feels that I'm not a fit for this Medical Center and they are cancelling the second appt. I just broke down and cried at this moment because I'm new to the area and a have had a difficult time finding a doctor that was going to be a gay men's health doctor/advocate so I had high hopes for this office and have several health issues that need to be addressed and waited almost a week for the appt only to be met with the most unprofessional, erratic, mean, and cold staff. With the exception of the receptionist, it's frightening these individuals are in healthcare! I would NOT recommend this Medical Center at all especially if you're expecting a caring compassionate team, this isn't it at all. If the Doctors and Providers approve of this treatment to patients before they're even seen, then reasonably no one is a fit for this Medical Center!

I went to One Medical in Fort Lauderdale for what was supposed to be a free consultation. After the appointment, I suddenly found a $300+ charge added to my account. I spent hours speaking with representatives and exchanged at least 25+ emails trying to get an explanation. What they finally told me was honestly unbelievable: they claimed the charge was added because the medical professional asked me a question about bloating during the consultation, and I answered that it was NOT an issue. That single question apparently became a separate billable line item worth over $300. There was never any discussion before or after about treatment, diagnosis, or concerns related to it. In fact, the question felt random and completely out of place at the time. But One Medical refuses to remove the charge because, according to them, the topic was "discussed" simply because their employee asked the question. What makes this even worse is that I am apparently not the only person this happened to. My wife also received an unexpected charge tied to some random question they asked her during her visit, despite her having no issues either. At this point, it genuinely feels like this company is using sketchy billing tactics to squeeze extra money out of patients. Unless both my wife and I are some unbelievable coincidence, I strongly encourage anyone else who has experienced similar surprise charges here to speak up. People deserve transparency in healthcare, not hidden billing traps disguised as "medical discussions." Avoid this location unless you want to risk being charged hundreds of dollars for answering a simple question.
