This is standard practice at any SPA, no matter what part of the world you are in. Doesn't matter if you are at the Ritz, Woldorf Astoria, Four Seasons, or a resort in Europe, Asia, or South America. When you go to a spa, you automatically have access to all the spa's amenities. This includes tubs and saunas. There are no spa amenities here. If you are paying premium prices, you would expect a premium experience. Keep looking because you are not going to get that at Betty's Day Spa. To make matters worse, their customer service is horrendous! One would think that, if there is a medical emergency, they would allow you to at the very least reschedule your services. They do not. Thank goodness I do not live here and can go back to my normal masseuse next week.

They have private tubs you can reserve for an hour if that's more the vibe you are feeling, but you can also use the hot tub before or after your appointment to soak which is so relaxing. I do appreciate the touches of tea kettles and tea in the lounge area that are complimentary. They also have snacks and other things if you are there longer. Remedy is such a sweet serene spot right in the university area that you'd kinda forget where you are because it's so peaceful while experiencing it, and that's why I can't recommend Emily and Remedy enough.

Can't spend more than a couple of minutes at a time in it. That doesn't help anything. The sign next to the steam room says it will be kept at approximately 110 degrees. It's much hotter. The steam cycles on every thirty seconds or so. That's crazy, I asked an attendant what temperature the steam room was kept at and he said 117 degrees. What happened to the 110 degrees that the wall sign says? I would like to be able to spend ten to fifteen minutes in the steam room, but I can't. This morning I couldn't even get two minutes in. It's too damn hot. I'm looking to work up a decent sweat, not a stroke. I've been going to this CHUZE for seven years, and in that time the steam room has almost never worked properly. About a year ago it seemed like they had fixed it. The steam cycled on every ninety seconds or so. I could actually spend fifteen minutes in it enjoying the moderate heat. And I could actually see the other people in the room; they weren't obscured by dense clouds of steam. It was very enjoyable. But then someone apparently decided to raise the temperature. It's really disgusting. I like CHUZE, but I can't deal with the fact that in seven years they haven't been able to get the steam room right. I will now start looking for a different gym.

Rochelle, Rochelle, Rochelle, oh how you helped take the pain away…read more I was out riding my bike the morning after a storm. The storm had just broke and it was a beautiful early morning. An unforeseen obstruction was suddenly in the road as I came around the corner and BLAM!!! Over the handlebars I went and my carbon bike shattered into three pieces. I had to make a flight in just a couple of hours. I didn't have anything major broken but I was bleeding in many places and definitely already getting sore and stuff as I drove to the airport. I couldn't turn my head to the left by the time I got to the airport and my left arm had limited movement. Nothing had improved by the time I landed in ABQ and I needed to play in a golf tournament the next morning. After taking a few moments to pour over reviews of medically therapeutic therapists I luckily landed on Rochelle. I called her and explained the situation to her. She even stayed late to get me in. Rochelle took the time to evaluate me and then once I was on the table her intuition of what my body needed was impressive. I firmly believe she greatly mitigated the level of pain and seriousness of my injuries with her early same day intervention. Her service was certainly 5 Star worthy. The business lost a star for location and difficulty to find.
