Everyone was so nice and they had so much to offer for the kids. They had drawings for kids for Easter baskets, popcorn, cotton candy, Bounce Houses, games and an Easter egg hunt! There are two…read moreworship services...one is traditional for those who prefer hymns... and a contemporary service for younger people who like contemporary music. You will fit right in with a crowd who appreciates good, lively music and a minister who teaches the Bible to help us face the stress in our lives and equip us to deal with social issues every day. So we were in and out in about 10 minutes. The volunteers making the fish were extremely pleasant. Your choices are cod, catfish, or shrimp with baked potatoe or fries with coleslaw and hushpuppies for 8.50. I loved the catfish but I did not like the fries, cornbread, or hushpuppies. Not that it really matters since the whole point is to help support the church.

Everyone was so friendly and they offered us free cookies and gifts and use their building to get warm. Everyone poured love, kindness, warmth and joy out to everyone that visited!!

I've visited Victory Church three times now on visits to St. Peters, MO, to see my aunt and uncle and accompanied them to Sunday morning services and then to fellowship lunch afterwards at nearby restaurants (one Italian and another a great sandwich deli). I made no secret of the fact that I'm a gay woman living in the S.F. Bay Area, and at the time had a partner. I didn't "shove" my orientation down anyone's throat who asked, but simply chit-chatted and made conversation with all who engaged me, and everyone was super-friendly, accepted me for WHO I am (a community-minded, decent and kind Christian lesbian) and never raised their eyebrows and gasped. Victory Church has a terrific modern band (keyboards, drummer, bass, lead guitar, acoustic guitar, and vocalists) and they make Christian music really joyous and fun to listen to and participate in. If you're going to church on Sunday and want to be awakened by great music, this is it. Oh, some other really great details: one particular Sunday, they had this wonderful former mob "enforcer" named Jack who was now a motorcycle evangelist who, with his wife, have ministered to thousands of inmates and "tough-guy" types. He was the featured minister one morning I attended, and his testimony and stories were both mesmerizing and compelling. I left with a new appreciation for some of the incredible good that motorcycle gang members can do, and since I live in the Oakland, California area, I've come to appreciate as well the good that some of the local biker groups do here as well. God works in strange and mysterious ways... and I hope he blesses Pastor Bob, Gail, my aunt and uncle, and all their friends and fellow congregation members at Victory Church. This is a wonderful church.

Everyone is so welcoming and friendly…read more Whenever I bring my college friends home during a break, I bring them here, and even though they're not Catholic, they love it! The floors recently got redone (carpets were removed and replace with wood vinyl flooring) , as well as the alter. The new flooring improves the look of the church greatly as it desperately needed to get rid of the carpets. Overall, it's a great place for all to come.
