Anyway, saw all the good reviews for Headz Up and they're really close to where I'm at now, so figured I'd give them a try. Went at 10:35am (right after they opened) as I couldn't book an appointment online (system/ store not accepting online resv), but since I saw mention a few times that they accepted walk-ins, I just went. The two barbers there were already working with clients, but they both made sure to say hello and welcomed me to their shop. Nice! The nearest barber was Inny (probably spelling that wrong) told me they would be a while and she has other appointments lined up already, but another barber should be in soon so I waited a little bit, but after about 10mins decided to get on with my day and ask if it'd be better to call in for an appointment. She asked if I could come back at 1:00pm because she'd be available. That worked for me, too so I agreed. Anyway, I show up at 12:57pm. The other barbers that were there now, (even a customer) said hello and asked how they could help us (I happen to walk in with four other people coincidentally). It's def a friendly place with a good family vibe. Inny walks in just as I was about to sit down to wait for her. Perfect timing! Good impression so far. It's a nice local joint in the Publix shopping center/ strip mall (look for their sign on glass/ door as I didn't see a marquee on the outside overhang. Place looks updated, just in need of some basic clean up and maintenance on the chairs, especially the waiting area ones. Although barber chairs need some upkeep, they're well padded and quite comfy. There was a bit more taken off the sides than I wanted, but think it was just a little misunderstanding as to the level of fading I wanted done. Very good overall for first time with new barber. Took her time (good thing) and asked me Qs along the way to make sure I was getting the details I wanted (other than on sides as it was too late once she showed & asked me about it). Took about 30 minutes for a good haircut. Nice! Asked if I could use the $5 off as per their Check In deal, but she wasn't aware of it. I didn't want it to affect her negatively if I pushed it so told her not to worry about it and paid her full price + tip. $25 for simple Men's cut seems the norm nowadays so I was a happy camper. Would recommend, just make sure to be clear on how short or long you want it to be.

He gave me his info and I told him I would come in at some point to see him. I came in earlier today, as a walk in, and Ben was happy to work me into his schedule. I received a great haircut and beard trim, for a very reasonable price. He made sure to discuss the type of haircut that I was looking for, and that I was satisfied when he was complete. Ben is all about producing a quality service, which I absolutely received. Ben's shop is clean, welcoming, and I can't wait to schedule my next appointment with him. I will also be taking my son there for his next haircut as well.

I mentioned we were 20 minutes out he said he'd take us and we headed over. Walking in the barbershop you immediately notice how sanitary the floors and counters are due to the high volume of disinfectant and disposal wipes. I think during covid this is something we should be seeing more of in public places so I am backing this good review with a 10/10 score will definitely recommend to others in the area looking for a nice, fast and efficient barbershop to visit.

He has a wide clientele from women to men and every ethnicity. he's cut all hair textures​. They have standard pricing but I get the hot towel and essential oils treatment which is about an additional ten bucks. Oh don't forget to tip if you show them love they treat you like family! I would like to thank them for their response as the abusive and aggressive tone speaks for itself and I appreciate them admitting that they tried to force a "consultation" via text less than 24 hours before the service. A booking is a contract for a specific time; a merchant cannot make post-booking requirements. I'd also like to remind them that calling to request a refund for a service not rendered is not harassment; it is consumer protection. Ignoring those calls is unprofessional. In addition, I am Taryn's wife, as I clearly stated so I'm unsure why they refer to me as "another person". I thought they were just unprofessional but now I suspect their poor treatment of us is also rooted in lgbtq+ and/or gender discrimination. Referring to me as "another person" and later as "these two women" is highly indicative of this, as is the message tone. It speaks volumes about how they treat their customers. As to all of the other lies stated - we have the proof and we have already discussed this with the bank who agree that their actions in charging us are illegal. They have also been reported to Booksy for violation of their policies, as well as the BBB. ------- Extremely unprofessional and unethical business practices - charged us a "no-show fee" when they themselves cancelled the appointment: I booked an appointment for my wife, Taryn, for 9:30 AM. Starting at 10:00 AM the day before, the barber began texting demanding 'inspiration photos.' As a working professional, I wasn't available to be 'on call' to answer non-essential texts all day. Because I didn't reply to their satisfaction, they unilaterally cancelled the appointment via text at 8:16 am just over an hour before the slot. Because I didn't see the message, my wife still physically left to drive to the appointment, having taken precious PTO hours to make it, only to be told it was cancelled and that we had been charged a no-show fee. Their own policy clearly states that a fee is charged if you fail to show up. To cancel on a client who is already on their way, and then try to penalize them with a fee when they actually show up, is completely dishonest and unethical. I have since been trying to text and call them and been ignored. They expect clients to be glued to their phones for 'pre-consultations' but don't have the professional courtesy to pick up the phone and call if there's an issue. Beware of their hidden 'requirements' and then taking your money even when they are the ones who refuse to provide the service. Unreliable, unprofessional and unethical - look elsewhere.
