I had come to this practice for over 20 years. Although I really liked Dr. DelGaudio (although I…read morefelt she was always overbooked and in a rush to get out of the room); however, I had learned that although SHE took my Geisinger insurance, the hospital she works out of does NOT (General). I found this out the hard way. I needed a procedure done and it was scheduled about a month in advance. Three days before my procedure I get a call from the office stating that they can't do the procedure due to the hospital not taking my insurance. I get it. I should've known this...I guess. But dang!! I feel like someone should've been able to give me a heads up like, "Dr. takes this insurance but if you ever need anything done outside of the office, you are SOL." I ended up finding a Geisinger inclusive Dr. who is phenomenal.

I agree with all of the previous comments about the front desk. They placed me on "hold"…read moreimmediately, but actually disconnected the phone 3 TIMES!! And each time I called back, the lady got ruder and ruder, saying "ob/gyn associates, will u please hold!" louder and slower, like I'M the moron! All I need is a script REFILLED, which the pharmacy had requested Saturday afternoon. Mind u, it is now Monday afternoon AND THEY STILL HAVEN'T FILLED IT!!!! Now it's after hours, and they never responded to the pharmacy. I am very dissatisfied, no I am angry!, and after 20 yrs will have to change doctors.

This is a poor excuse as a hospital. We will never come here again!!

Emergency visit, go anywhere, but Geisinger Wyoming Valley. This place is beyond disgusting,…read moreunprofessional, and a mess. The only competent people working here has been the surgery team and maybe three nurses. Special shout out to Guadalupe for her less than horrible bed side manner. This "nurse" watched my alarm go off several times, snickered and stared walking past my door, and then made a real ass out of herself saying something to another nurse who openly said how much she did not like her previous patient. That's me, I'm that patient. Let's talk about the environment. I arrived at the ER yesterday at 10 AM. Everything was going relatively quick and I was placed in the hallway. I spent the my time listening to a man scream for help in the room that was next to me, where the nurses waited for me to beg for them to shut his door or to please move me, was put on display for everyone to hear my business and glare as they walked by, and waited around for medication to be issued that was ordered at 10am and not received until 4:30pm. It took over three hours to get an ultrasound... in what world? No other progression, just waiting for an ultrasound, sitting in the hallway where HIPAA apparently doesn't exist. When they finally decided to admit me for surgery is when I was giving anything for the severe panic attacks I was having for the full duration. THAT'S 6 HOURS LATER. THESE ARE THINGS THAT ARE ON MY CHART AND PRESCRIBE TO ME. The lack of communication and misinformation spread here is obscene. If it's a staffing issue, fix it. Maybe lack of training in this type of environment? All I know is that I'm extremely disappointed in the experience and will choose Wilkes Barre General for future visits.

This is a warning for all who might consider Dr J Charles Lentini…read more Beware for your lives! This doctor has malpractice filed against him for very good reasons. Not only was his negligence instrumental in other death(s) (currently in litigation), his was negligently responsible for the death of my mother. Having been his patient as well, for 4 years, I can personally confirm that this man has no genuine compassion, competence nor even a half human bedside manner. He has stated that it is his mission to "control medical costs". And he does so at the expense of lives - by not ordering tests when they are medically indicated. Actually, you are lucky if he just listens to your lungs in an office visit. Do not expect him to have any genuine sympathy for your pain or illness (or your life, for that matter). He is only interested in the almighty dollar and controlling it. Also, he will not refer you to an ER when you call him with serious symptoms (like breathing difficulty or a head injury), but will instead, give you an office appointment for a later date which he will deny even occurred...if you happen to survive long enough to attend it before you die. If you are drug dependant, or interested in becoming so (and even if you are not), he will oblige. Be aware that his epitaph for you when you die will be that "it was your own fault."

Thank you for going out of your way to take care of my prescriptions and orders. Your care and…read moreconcern through all the years is appreciated.
