I found Kim Childs by doing a Google Search for Life Coaches near me. I had been floundering for a…read morefew years, and grew to be very unhappy with the stagnation in my life after the COVID-19 pandemic. My husband's coworker talked about how he had worked with a life coach in middle age to help him figure out his next steps after an intercontinental move to the US. I read Kim's website and noticed she was associated with Kripalu, is a former yoga instructor, and I was intrigued. I read a bit of her blog and decided to email to set up an introductory phone call. I felt like we connected on the call. She was lighthearted, but helped me move forward with action items in just that one phone call. Before our first meeting, I was really nervous. I didn't know what she would be like in person (I can pick up on other people's energy very easily), but I was soon at ease as I realized she is a kind and thoughtful person, who is also joyful and positive. She is spiritual, and educated, with an "East Meets West" style of coaching. During my three months working with her I explored more opportunities than I have in a decade on my own. Having biweekly meetings held me accountable, but gave me time in between sessions to accomplish our collaboratively created goals. If I didn't accomplish everything, that was fine.
