The tax consultant came out and said that it would be another 10-15 min before she could see me. This makes it approximately 20-25 min past my appointment time. The only response was that "it is Saturday and we are busy". I understand that it is busy, but that is why an appointment was scheduled. That was a very unprofessional and crude remark as if she was saying you either wait or leave and your time is not valuable to us. I ended up leaving and taking my money to another place that actually respected my time as well as theirs. I don't recommend going to this place and I won't step foot again in that establishment. To top it all of I got a call from an H&R representative stating that she would call the office and speak with the tax consultant to make sure it doesn't happen again. I don't need a call informing me that is going to happen as it is to late and it doesn't help me in any other way. I would have preferred getting no call at all.

After an initial meeting with Olga Sevidova that went well, I sent her all my documents and a request for an additional document to be filed that went unanswered. She requested a meeting, then failed to confirm the meeting date/time and sent a zoom invite 3 minutes prior to the meeting (which I of course missed) and said this was their office policy. When we finally met to review the tax return that she had prepared, there were glaring errors right away. Lev Agranovich (the owner) had to step in to make the corrections needed. Instead of taking accountability, Olga then proceeded to bill me for an additional 100$ for the extra form she claimed I had asked for last minute, when in our documentation I had requested it a month earlier with no transparency on extra cost. She became rude, defensive, and unprofessional in her emails and told me it was my fault because I had missed her virtual meeting (that she had failed to confirm). I finally agreed to make the extra payment to just be done with the process, yet she was unable to provide a final tax document with all the corrected edits, refused to answer my email follow ups and just kept asking for payment. Despite her incompetence, Lev (who was cc'ed on all the communications) did not step in to help mediate the interactions. I have never had a professional interaction with this degree of poor communication and poor product quality, and the inability to provide a final document for review prior to payment. She then proceeded to tell me I would be billed regardless and threatened a collection agency should I not pay for a tax return that I was unable to review, and that had prior mistakes made. I finally had to send AGS Tax group a certified letter documenting the inadequate work and refusal of payment before they finally provided a completed tax return for my review. This was a huge inconvenience and headache with many hours on my end wasted sending them all my documents and I will never be returning here. I have never dealt with this level of unprofessionalism and lack of accountability. You should find another place to prepare your tax documents.

When I called to schedule the appointment with his office in February his receptionist made no mention that he would not be available and that I would be meeting with someone else. When I arrived at the office, I waited 30+ minutes and inquired as to whether I should reschedule. A lady came out to say that she would just be two more minutes. I thought that she was the client. When they were ready to see me, I was completely taken aback when told that I would be seeing Kim for my taxes. I'm not sure how complicated my taxes are but being in two different states with residencies in both, various jobs (W2, 1099), rental/owned units, it is important for me that my tax person is knowledgeable about my situation. I was completely unprepared to re-explain my situation. Kim asked NO questions and input numbers like a robot stating that she was all set based on last year's preparation. I have had several changes from last year and ended up owing about three times what I paid last year. In response to email inquiries, she stated that there were changes required and was dismissive. Please keep this in mind when scheduling with this company. I will be searching for a new provider next year and a company with higher level of integrity and transparency. For reference, I ended up paying Kim, $800 for my tax preparation and owed about $6000 after about 20 minutes of face to face time.
