First time at this location. Every one was super nice. I have coverage so it wasn't bad at all. Only had my co-pays. I saw Dr. was dr. P. She was friendly. I had taken my glasses from last years prescription and they were able to test and compare with the new one. Which was really cool and helpful to know that I need a new pair. I spent a good 20 minutes trying to find the perfect pair that fits my face. I narrowed it down to these two. I will order one through insurance and buy the other. Great location ! read more

My experience overall visiting this Visionworks was abysmal. The customer service was non-existent from the start and we felt as if we were an inconvenience. I took my mom, who's English is not the best, and just wanted to make sure everything went smoothly. From the start, the receptionist spoke to my mother with such disdain when greeting her and when explaining why she needed to sign on the tablet. She went through everything so quickly and when my mom asked her to repeat or didn't understand, the receptionist looked annoyed. I almost lost it with that interaction. I had to stop and explain to my mom what she was signing for but if only the receptionist would have just tailored her language a little when it comes to documents and signing so the customer can fully understand that would've been helpful. Like, I understand that's it's 10 a.m. and they were working with a bare crew (from what I can see) but we did not deserve that kind of service. Then, when my mom finally saw the doctor, the appointment seemed rushed and he seemed to also be annoyed at having to ask my mom to choose between which lenses were better. I saw him frustratingly scratch his head a few times. Like, is this how we treat elderly people?! I did have to help her understand the flow but once she understood she was good. First of all, he didn't even explain to my mom like "hi, we are going to check your eyesight and I'm gonna have you tell me when one is clearer" --- none of that. He went right in and assumed that she would understand. Once we were done with the optometrist, we went back to the front to get our paperwork because at that point we only needed the prescription and we were not going to spend a dime on glasses with the experience we'd gotten so far. So as my mom is getting her paperwork the receptionist assumes my mom wants glasses and my mom politely explained she doesn't want to purchase at this time and that she needed the prescription requested by her employer but the receptionist is STILL being so curt and dismissive. Overall, I strongly DO NOT RECOMMEND this location. Customer service is horrendous and they all seemed like they don't want to be there. We only chose it because the night prior they had online scheduling which was very convenient for my mom's time sensitive work request. read more

My Versace eyeglasses were broken during an adjustment. I went to get an adjustment and the woman starts messing with my glasses before heating them. Then she heated it and made an adjustment. I asked her to adjust again, she did not re-heat and it cracked. The frames were less than 2 years old. Shame on me for coming here since it was closer and i did not want to drive to the mall, but it was a $300+ mistake. Never again will i enter this store. read more

Here's the summary if you don't want read the long version. I've had it with Visionworks. I've now had three sets of lenses crack due to their cheap, low-quality materials and incompetent lab work. Every single time, they've tried to blame anything but their own shoddy craftsmanship. The lenses were consistently fitted improperly, causing stress fractures where they met the frames -- a basic issue any decent optical lab should catch and correct. But it gets worse: they refused to stand behind their product. No apology, no accountability, no real help. Just a frustrating cycle of excuses and the same poor-quality replacements destined to fail again. And don't get me started on their customer service -- rude, dismissive, and utterly useless. You'd get more empathy and problem-solving from a vending machine. I spent good money expecting basic quality and service, and instead got a masterclass in how not to treat your customers. Avoid Visionworks like the plague. Visionworks' motto: "If you were hoping for glasses that help you see, you're in the wrong hell. Our frames are crooked, our lenses are cursed, and our customer service is powered by apathy and spite. At Visionworks, we don't just disappoint--you'll leave questioning the point of sight itself. That's our promise. That's our punishment." Long version of complaint I had one of the absolute worst experiences ever with both the quality of the eyewear and customer service. I purchased frames and lenses on 4/16/24. 4 months later, I noticed that the edge of the lenses looked like there were small white dots that within days grew into bigger cracks along the edge. After the manager at Visionworks examined the lenses, she said it was not my fault and they would send them back to the lab to have the lenses replaced. The manager mentioned that the lab messed up and something was done incorrectly when they cut and shaped the lenses. The lenses were OK for another 4 months until they started cracking again on the edges. Visionworks replaced them a 2nd time at the end of August. On 4/18/2025, almost a year after I received the glasses, the cracking started again in the corner of the left lens as shown in the picture below. Clearly, Visionworks has issues with either the quality or extremely poor technicians who keep repeating the same mistakes. When I went into this Visionworks location, the "optician" looked at the lenses and said he had no idea why they keep doing this. It could be alcohol or what was used to clean the lenses. I stated that this has happened 3 times with these lenses and frames and I have never had any problems with any other glasses doing this in 40+ years since I have been wearing glasses. I have been cleaning the lenses with the cleaning products I purchased at Visionworks. The more I talked to this joke of an optician, the more I realized how useless he really was. They should not let him even speak to customers. He quickly escalated the situation by looking up my information, then saying he could not do anything since I purchased the glasses a year ago. I asked him why he would not do anything if the glasses/frames are clearly defective or something has been repeatedly been done incorrectly in the lab. He had no answer and just smugly smirked, saying "sorry." I will never go back to Visionworks after this experience. If they cared about their customers at all, they would take corrective action with their labs and poor staff. The time and stress dealing with this horrible place is enough for me to tell everyone I know how bad they are. He got me set up with some blue light protection and ran through the entire insurance process with me, he made sure to get Me the best deal. This place was pretty good. The doctor was pretty thorough and experienced. The staff seemed unprofessional in comparison. A lot of talking and being silly during times they should have been assisting customers. They definitely like to make money on everything, Extra for this scan or extra for that etc. but they had some great products and we did buy and are content with what we purchased. She recommended me to let my eye surgeon know my eye pressure was high again, plus gave me tips on keeping my eyes healthy & prescribed new glasses for me. Johnny was the man who helped me pick out not just one pair but TWO pairs of glasses at a great deal using my VSP insurance & when they didn't get the transitions put into my lenses, he was quick to correct that & have my glasses remade at half the cost due to error! Way over priced, I'm returning to Costco. Affordable eye exam on antiquated optical machine. Retail frames fitter said he agreed. 1 pair of single vision, poly carb, transition glasses quotes $730!!! With discount $254 frame was $199. Today, I went in to have new glasses picked up yesterday, adjusted for fit. I asked how much for new Rx lenses to be put in old frames she said $380!!! I explained the glasses a d lenses I just bought there were less. She she doesn't do the pricing. Poorly run business. I tried this store because it was close. Returning to Costco where I've had excellent service and reasonable prices over 20yrs. Lesson learned. read more

I've been to this location a couple of times during the past 5 years and have always had a good experience. I made an appointment here because appointments are available without weeks of waiting for my ophthamologist. Dr. Paulin is who I have seen in the past and decided to be schedule with her. She is thorough and very kind. The technician was also helpful and professional. I was written a new prescription but it there is only a very slight change in my vision. I wont' be getting new glasses now but I feel good that I have a new prescription that I can use if needed. I'll go to my local big box store to get the because frames are much more affordable. I did all the tests with the exception of the glaucoma test, because I hate it and my total with a coupon was around $100. read more

Is Visionworks going out of business or being bought out by some cash sucking hedge fund? I have been trying to call them the last several days ... only computer voices telling me to go to their web site or holds without end ... no human answers. And the hours stated on the voice message while holding is different than posted on their web site and on yelp. I have relied on them for glasses , and got my eyes tested in their store, for many years. They did a great job. This is so disappointing. Current experience is one star ... but past experience over the years has been five stars ... so will give them benefit of the doubt with three stars and hope they will answer their phone. I need to have my annual eyes exam and time to get new glasses. When I go to their website to set up an eye exam appointment I am NOT given an option to choose the preferred doctor. I have had wonderful experience with Dr. Paulin for years (her exam results are spot on for clear vision). I do not want to use a different doctor ... so I call ... but they do not answer. I love this Visionworks and have never had a bad experience. I've been going here for 4 years. The customer service is always top notch and all the optometrists I've ever seen there (3 different ones) are excellent. The ladies who assist with the peripheral vision tests and retina tests are always great. The ladies who check your insurance benefits are great. Also, Neal and Jordan are wonderful and always work with you to help you get the best benefit with your insurance. They both assist in working out which is a better benefit to put towards the glasses vs the contacts etc. Everyone is always polite and professional here! I was in yesterday for an eye exam and to purchase glasses. Masks were required, and I entered the office wearing one. I am deaf with a cochlear implant/processor. While I can hear, lipreading may be necessary for clarification, if I miss what is being said through a mask. My request was to pull the mask down over the mouth briefly as necessary, not take it off completely, put it back over the mouth and proceed through the appointment. The assistant was unwilling to do so, and went to the front desk to explain the situation. A nice staff came back and said masks could not be removed at all, and shared that even the doctor/optometrist would not do so. The offer was to provide an interpreter, which was not the need. The requested accommodation was simple and would still honor the social distancing aspect. I can not be the only older, deaf person who needs this type of accommodation; and it is especially disheartening that this customized protocol is with a company that provides a type of medical service. I used this same office a few years ago and purchased glasses for myself and my husband. COVID-19 was not in effect at the time, and I realize this is still of concern to many companies. However, this is the first time I have been refused service or an accommodation by any medical office during the time of COVID. read more

The process to get them is somewhat strange, I do not understand why they have to have secret papers and don't tell you exactly what your insurance will cover and won't cover, just in the end it seems to always be more than I expect. I purchased two pairs of glasses from this store. The lens keep popping out of them so I finally took them in and they told me that the curvature of the lens does not work very well with the frames I selected. I think, How would I know which frame fits which lens, unless they tell me. I was told I could have bought the protection plan... Then it would be their problem. As it stands now it is my problem... they say I picked the wrong frame; NO, I PICKED THE WRONG EYEGLASS COMPANY!!!! My insurance benefit is maxed out for the year and I am out of pocket $700; I have two reminders on my desk of why I will not waste my time or money with Visionworks ever again. Every time the same guy answers all stressed out saying this is not his normal job, takes my birthday, name, email and phone number every time and says he will have the Dr release my Rx. .... never happens. I had such an incredible experience here! I've needed new glasses for a long time but am super picky about how they look on me. Eric helped me pick out two super affordable frames that I love so so much, he was such a great help! Kendra helped me with my lense choice and did a beautiful job explaining it all very easily to me. I was quoted to pick up my lenses on the 11th and they came a week early! Awesome experience a few months ago when my brand new Maui Jim sunglasses with prescription was chewed by my dog. The Store manager JALINA and STAFF was very kind and understandable with my situation and immediately summited replacement at a super affordable low insurance co-pay. Couldn't be happier with the outcome. The moments my new Mauis was remanufactured the Visionworks staff call and keept me on the loop, they even offer me a temporary replacement. Wowwie I've never been treated that poorly by customer service ANYWHERE. I walked in to their office 10 minutes before my appointment and was told by office staff, "we were just talking about you." I figured it was a joke, so I laughed and they glared angrily at me?? In my appointment I was given the wrong prescription contacts to try and after I told them I couldn't see out of them, they asked if I wanted to order a years worth??? At this point I'm completely done with this office so I just ask for a copy of my correct prescription so I can order elsewhere. They tell me to wait and I do for 20 minutes. The entire time I'm waiting, the two ladies at the front desk are rudely bickering about who was in charge of what paperwork. After 20 minutes I walk up to the front desk and the less angry girl asks, "can I help you?" I say, "yeah I'm waiting on my prescription." She says, "oh we won't have that for several days." Like WHAT?! What a horrible experience. I don't even care about the money I spent there; I'm starting the whole process somewhere new just to avoid this shit-show. read more

I have been to a few different Visionworks due to moving from Phoenix to Flag but this team has been by far the best. Between all the staff they have doing the exams to getting my glasses quick. Just recently I had broken a frame and it was just over the timeframe I had on my warranty to get them replaced. Updated on 10/1/19 - Since I complained about Visionworks, I thought I would take the time to say thank you. The Store Manager called me and assured me that she would redo the order on my sunglasses and remove the mirrored feature and refund the cost. I picked up both of my eyeglasses and each pair was exactly what I wanted. Thank you to the Store Mgr and to the Doctor who adjusted them both perfectly. Yes, I did not like the sales associate who wrote up the orders, but the Visionworks staff corrected the problem, and that is all I needed done. Thank you again! 9/20/19 - The eye exam was great and the Dr. was perfect. It is their sales staff that you need to watch. The sales associate kept putting features on my 2 eyeglass orders to run up the price. I didn't ask for, I didn't mention and I didn't even think of adding the mirrored feature to my sunglasses order, yet it ended up on my order with a $75 price increase. I've gone to this location for 2 years and the reason why I came back was due to them being very nice and helpful after I had a terrible experience trying to just set up an appointment at a different office not associated with Visionworks. I've recommended a few people to check this place out. I've always have great customer service and they have a big selection of frames to choose from.
