He went for a month to SHSL for respite care and they were so welcoming and friendly even though he was short term care. He was welcomed back for the next 2 years with the staff remembering him. This indicates to me that SHSL is able to keep employees for long periods of employment which is a credit to them in this ever-changing service oriented business. Due to my dad's advancing age (98), it was decided in July 2018 for him to stay at SHSL as his residence which was for the next 15 months. He made new friends and never once complained about the staff. The administration is very responsive and cares about their residents. The hospice services SHSL recommended were also wonderful. I have had prior assisted living experience for my parents at a larger corporate facility in the LV which I had numerous problems with to the point where I removed my mother from the dementia unit. SHSL wins hands down in my book. They are top notch in providing seniors with a safe, friendly and welcoming place to call home. Families will see very quickly that their loved ones are well attended to should they make SHSL home for someone in their family.

Everything is perfect at Sacred Heart for my Mom who has dementia. The facility itself is beautiful…read morewith very nice furniture in the common areas, of which there are many. There is the main Lounge with leather sofas, gas fireplace a lovely fish tank and piano. There's a library with an internet computer, a gathering room for crafts, games, community mtgs, etc. A private dining room for special occasions and the main dining room with different table arrangements and fabulous food! There are 3 floors, one of the top two has a billiard room, sofas and chairs, game tables and a TV. The other has the laundry room, leather sectional, chairs and TV. All floors have gathering groupings along the spacious hallway. There are numerous room configurations as studios and also 1 or 2 bedrooms. Some have kitchenettes but no cooking is allowed. Any can have a mini fridge. They can supply all furniture at no extra cost, bring your own or mix it up. They supply linens and basic housekeeping. I like their tiered pricing, allowing for three levels of care and assistance so you pay only for what you need. There are available religious services, many arts and crafts, weekly shopping trips or restaurant trips. The staff is amazing, from the admins, med techs, medical staff, dining staff, just everyone. My Mom LOVES it there, especially the rear patio with canopies, expensive and comfy furniture and a view of the pond with fountains, beautiful potted and planted flowers/bushes and resident geese, chipmunks, birds, etc. Finally, I love that it is a progressive care facility from minimum care up to full time, locked dementia care! I looked at many places, this is by far superior in my opinion.

Completely unprofessional and lacking in....well any basic business skills. Not sure how he obtained a real estate license as I think you have to actually exist to do so. Do not list your property with them! They're incompetence or perhaps their apathy not only effects potential buyers or sellers of homes but all the people involved...families, other realtors, people making one of the most important decisions in their lives and which will affect their entire lives and Preferred Properties Plus can't return a phone call, text , email or message. If they don't care about people, they shouldn't be in the business.

They seem to have taken on too much work for the two of them, and as a result, are too busy to do a great job. When we first started looking, Jeff and Jasper setup a search for us in the MLS, and then told us to contact them if and when a property appears that we are interested in. This was pretty much the only way that they assisted us in finding a property. No proactive calls that a listing is coming up that we may be interested in, no real checking in. Just setting up a search on the Lehigh Valley MLS website. Ironically, it turns out that you do not even need a realtor to setup the search! The house that we ended up finding, was not even through the search setup by Jeff and Jasper. We found it on our own, but needed a realtor to show it to us, due to the way it was listed. We loved the house, and Jeff guided us through the buying process. Certain things we still had to prompt him about, as the selling agent, but got the job done. One thing that did irk us, was that we had a showing cancelled by Preferred Properties because they had scheduled a "multimillion dollar closing" on another home the same day that we were to have the showing. I definitely understand the conflict, as well as the incentive to obviously close on this closing, but the cancellation was made in a less than tactful way, and gave the message that since we are not buying a "multimillion dollar home," we are not as important. Overall, I would not recommend Preferred Properties Plus for your home purchase. The business is too small, and has taken on too much to do a good job for you as a client. There are plenty of other realtors in Lehigh Valley, and speaking with other friends who are in the buying process, others are much more helpful.

Dr. Daley, who was in charge of running the hospital when I was there deserves ZERO stars. He was very unprofessional and petty with me. I raised VERY specific concerns and issues I had with him to a number of different staff. I always got the same exact answer, "Oh, everybody usually loves him!". I waited to post this for a while, because I assumed someone from Good Shepherd would reach out to me about the problems I had while there, that I made multiple staff members very aware of. I never heard anything. I think that says a lot about the management, or lack thereof. I would never get treated there again unless I knew Dr. Daley was no longer on staff. I also think it's problematic that nobody cared to address any of the issues I had with me. Added 1-6 In response to your answer, why would I reach out to you now? To what point? If you don't know exactly who I am after giving very specific and legitimate complaints to at least a half dozen of your staff, including PA's, CRNP's, and RN's, with ZERO response from your facility of any kind, you have unbelievably bad management. Why would nobody ever reach out to me?! Absolutely ridiculous.

Do not buy a house from these folks. They blatant lie or conveniently omit the details of what…read moreyou will pay upfront, yet, you are required to give them a 5% deposit to hold your lot. Stupidly, I signed a contract, chose a lot based on their marketing materials; which were a blatant lie. The marketing materials said the lot backed to "open space." it did not. The lot backed up to the back side of 12 town homes. -- not open space!! So I had to change my lot, which cost me an extra $17,000 because the new lot had a $32000 premium. Oh and I had to put 5% down on this amount as well. That was the first of many "extra" costs that TOA charges over and above their standard cheap house. -- Note: Someone at corporate is making a lot of money on the backs of senior citizens. -- I wanted to make sure I could put a porch and landscaping in the back of the house. I made an appointment with their sales person, who was eager to sell me the house, but could not answer if I could put my own landscaping/porch in the back of the house. She stated that I had to wait until I went to my design appointment -- which, surprise, couldn't be scheduled until FOUR months after I signed the contract. She also conveniently failed to mention that the back yard items I wanted would require me to pay an extra $2000 for a custom house , and also I would not be given any costs estimates for any extras I wanted in the house until this meeting as well. I also found out that becasue I needed a custom home, my settlement would be backed up by three months from the original estimate date. I was asked to sign a contract that it would be backed up. Stupidly, I signed it. She also said I could not put in a patio on the back of my house, using my own vendor, after the house was built because of Township Rules-- this was a total lie. They just wanted to charge me double what their third party contractor charged by going through TOA. At the design meeting, I was told I could put landscaping in the back yard, but the HOA would not take care of it. Something TOA boasts in the marketing materials-- that you have no maintenance. -- Again, blatant lie. They also do not let you choose what plants are planted in the front of your house. Again, not mentioned until the design meeting. When I went to the design meeting, it was obvious that the house was so basic that any thing included in a "normal" house, was an extra charge -- for example, an exit door at the side of the garage was not included in the base house. Only cheap windows were included in the base house. This was a blatant "bait and switch" situation. Show you a beautiful house, but none of it was included. Also, after the design meeting, I found out that all of their vendors that you chose materials from, were at over 50 miles away, and one was even in Virginia-- the house was to be built in Lancaster County PA. TOA had no showroom set up to even look at materials because it hadn't been built yet. At this point, I knew I did not want to deal with these people any longer. They were obviously just out to make a lot of money off of their lies and half truths. I will update this post, after I meet with their attorneys.

I was not a fan of them moving in due to my perception of "nursing homes" but I learned otherwise in the four+ years they were there. Literally every single person we interacted with from the nursing staff to rehab to cooks, laundry, maintenance staff, etc. was like family. The professional level of care that my parents received (and us as their family) cannot be overstated except to compare it to the compassion that went with it. We were really clueless about what the last years of their lives was going to entail, and the staff here did it so much better than we ever could have. My husband and I ended up getting on the waiting list and now have a deposit down on one of the carriage homes being built; it doesn't get any better than this for end of life experiences. Aside from the fact that the carriage homes are gorgeous, the kind of care that is there as a "safety net" is exactly what we want. The added bonus is us both being on the same campus if one of us starts to fail in later years; not only does the other one not have to move, they can walk to visit, take meals and do activities together, and in some cases actually be together in the advanced care. (My parents were together in Memory Care.). I highly recommend Lutheran Home @ Telford.

My father moved into independent living while my mom had to go into skilled nursing. My father is able to visit my mom everyday since they were located within the same campus. Bad weather no problem, you only have to walk across an enclosed bridge. The various levels of care both my parents have been receiving is exemplary. Telford Lutheran is like the Ritz Carlton of care facilities. When I would visit my Aunt in Florida I wondered why she did not get the same care at her facility. She was paying almost the same every month. Telford may be a little more than other communities but it shows in the care and people they hire. If you are searching for a place for your parents I would put Telford Lutheran on your list to review. You will not be disappointed.
