They rarely answer the phone, it's a hassle to get them to send prescriptions to the pharmacy, and they failed to inform me that the provider is no longer in-network with UnitedHealthcare. I genuinely tried to support Black-owned practices, but at this point, it's no longer about that -- it's about professionalism for me now. The provider herself is extremely rude and unprofessional. She seemed to think she could raise her voice at me without expecting a response -- but I have a voice too. I truly don't understand why some healthcare providers carry themselves as if they'll never need help from others. That kind of arrogant, abrasive attitude is both disappointing and unacceptable. Looking back, I should have left when the previous provider, Ritchie, left. She was a class act. Since then, the office has gone downhill. They expected me to make an in-person visit every time I needed an increase in my Zepbound dosage -- even after being told by the provider herself that follow-ups wouldn't be necessary for that. What shocked me most was that the provider physically put her hands on me to force me out of the office. As someone who was raised to respect my elders -- I am Haitian, and we value that deeply -- I found her behavior completely inappropriate and beyond disrespectful. Honestly, her attitude is probably why her hair won't grow and her face is covered in bumps like a road map -- which I happily used to guide myself to a better doctor's office.

Our consistent and intended plan has always been for her to return to Miami, where she resides and where all of her established providers are based. My mother has lived in Miami her entire life and was residing with me prior to her hospitalization. All of her established medical providers are within the Baptist Health of South Florida network in Miami, and her care has consistently been centered there. During SNF Review, we clearly communicated that her safe and appropriate discharge destination was her home in Miami, where her long-term support system and full medical team are located. However, we encountered significant barriers that we believe were driven more by insurance and administrative factors than by her clinical condition. I was not given a meaningful opportunity to fully explain or advocate for these circumstances during the decision-making process. Additionally, I was provided with inaccurate information by Stacie, who stated that my mother had been living with my sister. This is not true. My mother has never lived with my sister. My sister is a Cape Coral resident and not an Orlando resident, and she was not part of my mother's living arrangements prior to this hospitalization. This misinformation contributed to confusion during an already complex review process. We transitioned her insurance from Oscar to United in an effort to address limited provider acceptance and ensure continuity of care. Although she was technically in-network with both insurances, the facility still refused her and then claimed concerned with the switch. Why would I keep her under Oscar if no one was taking her under Oscar? It made more sense to change insurance to one that was more widely accepted. Mind you, this has been her ONLY insurance change. From our perspective, SNF Review did not adequately take into account her long-standing Miami residency, her established care within the Baptist Health of South Florida system, or her documented medical history. It felt that non-clinical factors had an outsized influence on the process, which was extremely distressing during an already difficult time. This has been a deeply disappointing experience for our family. We hope that future patients receive more consistent, patient-centered SNF Review that prioritizes medical history, established care networks, and the patient's home residence.

****UPDATED DISCLAIMER - graciously, this matter has been resolved and settled! *******…read more I am here to bring an urgent matter to anyone who can help me escalate this issue. My grandmother passed away in December 2023 at St. Anne's, one of the Catholic Health Services Facilities. While I have nothing negative to say about their medical staff or administration, I am highly dissatisfied with the billing department, particularly with Michelle, Kym, and whoever else has the authority to expedite the check I am owed on behalf of my grandmother's care. It is standard practice to receive a reimbursement for any days not serviced if a patient passes away before the 30 days at a skilled nursing facility. However, despite Mrs. Regalado's clear decision in January 2024, I have yet to receive the check owed to me. Even after contacting Aetna's Medicare insurance, I was told that all outstanding medical bills had been cleared. It was only in March 2024 that I learned the account payment had not been processed due to electronic bureaucracy. I have been incredibly patient with all the emails, misunderstandings, and lack of communication channels, but we are already in mid-April, and I have yet to receive the check. I am now demanding that the check be issued immediately. I am blasting this information on the internet and the Better Business Bureau because I refuse to be taken advantage of. I am not asking for excessive money; we are talking about a few hundred dollars. If you are a blogger or journalist who can help me further this matter of abuse, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.

In my opinion, my husband was unloaded from the hospital to this hospice provider during covid restrictions as a means to empty beds. This hospice delivered a pile of rusty old equipment to our house and sent several people to our home that could barely speak English. Everyone had paperwork but no one was doing any physical care. Two days later they recommended in patient hospice due to the severe fluid retention he had. They said they could give him lasix as in patient and make him more comfortable and his breathing easier. He was transferred to inpatient and 24 hours later he still hadn't had lasix. He was still struggling to breathe while they did nothing to ease that. When I questioned them they were defensive and uncaring. I pitched a huge fit and asked to have him sent back to a hospital. I waited 8 hours to get him out of there and back into a hospital which was in the same building. The hospital had him breathing easier in 45 minutes and he was home in 4 days. Several months later we discovered that hospice never processed the discharge paperwork correctly and he was reported to social security as deceased. He had to go into social security to prove he was alive. It took a year to fix the insurance mess they created with no assistance from them. I called many times and got no where. This was the most uncaring group I ever met. And yes, thankfully he's still with us and doing ok....3 years later.

My father-in-law came into our care about 5 months ago. Since then, we have been assigned four different nurses. Whether we call because dad's oxygen is extremely low, or because we are running low on supplies, phone calls go unanswered. We have spoken to multiple people from the local office and even corporate and nothing has changed. On multiple occasions, when I finally got ahold of the nurse, I asked about supplies that should have arrived and her response usually was, "I already ordered it. What size was it that you needed? What flavor boost was it?" I even spoke face to face with our latest nurse. I told her that our phone calls and text messages to her go unanswered and asked her to tell me how I should communicate to her. I even went further into telling her personal struggles we have that make life difficult. She was cold and unapologetic. The person she was "training" looked confused at her lack of acknowledgment in her response and asked if I spoke Spanish because maybe the nurse didn't understand me. She understood just fine because when I reiterated everything in Spanish with tears of frustration in my eyes she said "Que quieres que yo te diga?" (What do you want me to tell you?) I was speechless. Today, dad is doing very poorly. We were told to call our nurse. We called at 12 noon and she responded to call her back later. Later when? Wouldn't it make more sense for her to call us back when she isn't busy? Eight hours later, an after hours nurse finally arrived to check on him. If it wasn't for our aide who is extremely loving and caring, we wouldn't be with Season's Hospice. I wish management would put more importance on the communication and follow-through of their staff. Dealing with this has been an unnecessary strain on our life which is already so stressful.
