I came here with a large group (renting out most of the space), so we basically had the entire place to ourselves. That means access to 2 huge pools - one more private and one overlooking the water, the main kitchen area with a large outdoor dining/activity space, the beach on our doorsteps (chairs included), and beautiful rooms - each of which had not 1 but 2 balconies overlooking either the water or the trees. Each room also had a large bathroom, sizable kitchen area with plates, cutlery, and a coffee machine, and a living area. Pretty good for the price we paid. On the property there were tons of showers and faucets to get the sand off which was much needed since we spent a lot of time doing beach or pool activities. The hotel staff was so sweet and really made us feel safe and at home. Nelson walked around the grounds and always asked if we needed help, both day AND night. Talk about wonderful service. We ate a few meals in town, which is walking distance from the property. During the day, we walked along the beach. At night, we opted to walk through the neighborhood (we had a big group, but use your own discretion since some parts are not very well lit). Either way, it's about a 10 minute walk or 5 minute golf cart ride (you can rent one here if you'd like). If you're coming from PVR airport, an Uber ride will set you back about $40 USD, which is pretty good considering the ride itself is about 40 minutes without traffic. You can also rent a cab through the hotel but that's a bit more expensive - probably about $10 or $20 extra. Still worth it, I think. The rooms and property were pretty spotless, but we had a few instances of critters getting in, so just be mindful about leaving your windows and doors open. Everyone on the property speaks English so don't fret if you don't speak Spanish. When you check in, they'll place a $50 USD charge on your card for a beach towel (I guess people have stolen them in the past). When you check out, just hand in your towel and room key and the money will be refunded to your credit card. We really had a wonderful stay. I can't say enough good things about Casablanca Sayulita.

The bathroom was big and everything worked great. You get bath robes as well and the AC worked well. There wasn't a TV in the room, so that kinda sucks. There's a fridge and they supply water daily. The pool was okay, didn't really have a view and there was nothing happening up at the pool. There were cabanas but no music and the pool water was very cold. The breakfast that was included was good. You get choice of egg and a meat on the eggs, some fruit and coffee. The breakfast is at the pool which is the rooftop. I enjoyed the breakfast. One thing that downgraded the hotel for me was they ran out of water for about 4 hours. They said the City occasional have water shut downs. We weren't able to shower or even go number #2 or anything. It was weird. We asked their neighboring businesses and they confirmed that yes sometimes the city run out of water but theirs was working fine today. Later we saw a truck with a huge water tank parked in front of the hotel. Also upon leaving, we booked a shuttle through Expedia and the Sayulita taxi cartel gang extorted us for money and they didn't do anything. It was right in front of their hotel and the front desk and other hotel workers were watching and didn't help us one bit. There was an argument with our shuttle driver and 3 Sayulita taxi guys about Expedia shuttle not being an approved shuttle to pick up in Sayulita. We had to pay $500 pesos to leave. I know it's not their fault but help us out a bit.

I've never experienced a hotel having an issue with requesting extra towels until staying here. I had read multiple reviews saying other guests experienced the same. Our room was above the presidential suite and we thought that would be a great room to reserve for our entire family. Since our oldest daughter was turning 21 this month and our second oldest also graduated high school we decided to book a stay here. On the reservation I put that there would be 6 of us staying, 4 adults and 2 kids. We had 2 relatives that were undecided if they would come with or not. At the time that I made the reservation there was no price difference for booking with 6 adults and 2 kids or 4 adults and 2 kids. Also, there is no where that states they charge per person. In the end we ended up coming as a group of 8 which is the total number of guests the room accommodates. When we checked in our entire group was present. The front desk clerk never mentioned anything about the number of people with us. When we got to the room I immediately noticed that there were not enough towels so we asked for more the first night. The man at the front desk said the manager took home the towels to wash them and that we could get more the next day. I called back the second day to ask for towels and the man I spoke with said it was fine. A minute or two after the manager, Kenia, called and asked my husband how many of us were in the room. He told her 8 and in response she wanted to charge us an extra $320. After we already paid $1728. When my husband told me about the call I called the front desk back and requested that the manager come to our room to speak with me. Instead she calls back a second time. I told her that the total to book the room did not change even with the added 2 guests. I even verified that on their booking website to ensure I didn't read something incorrectly. I insisted she come to the room so I can show her what I was seeing. She showed up with a laptop in her hands as if she were going to show me something different. I showed her that the price did not change. So she said she would call her manager and call me back. When she called back she said that there was a glitch in their system and that they wouldn't charge extra. I think they aren't charging extra because I'm not stupid enough to be overcharged. I also think this was all in response to our requests for extra towels. I had many people ask for the details of this hotel after posting a video of our suite. After our experience of them trying to over charge us, I will definitely let those same people know they should look some where else. And since they wanted to treat us like we're stupid, I'll go ahead and share all the things wrong with their "presidential suite." First the obvious, they don't provide enough towels and have issues when you request more. The full size refrigerator doesn't work. We had to keep all of our perishables in the freezer which barely kept things cold. The wifi was spotty. At times not working for hours. The TV in the master bedroom didn't work. Out of 3 showers 2 were clogged so much that the water came up to our ankles. And almost all the toilet seats were crooked which made it uncomfortable to use. There are no ice machines on site. They have only 1 vending machine that is hardly stocked with anything. No on site laundry. No showers near the entrance to the beach so you have to go back to your room covered in sand. The location of the hotel and the beach was enough for me to overlook what the hotel was lacking. However, after they made their failed attempt at overcharging us I don't know if I'll be back.

When you enter through the front gates, they check every car entering to make sure they are guests. Then you drive through a pretty, scenic route to the hotel. The service was excellent from the first moment of arriving. We loved the room we stayed in, it was huge and had everything we needed. The hotel is very private so we did not have any other guests staying that close to our villa. During our stay we noticed there were not a whole lot of guests which was very nice. The ratio of workers to guests was crazy, there had to be 5-10 workers per guest. The layout of the resort is spread out so we did a lot of walking. Our villa came with a dedicated butler to our room. He helped us with anything and everything we needed. We definitely felt very spoiled! There are several pools and they are all amazing. One is a private pool for adults only. However there were only a few kids we saw the whole time we stayed here. The restaurants have amazing food. The beachfront is very pretty and there are plenty of lounge chairs to hangout at. The workers come to you on the beach to take drink orders. We had some very chill and relaxing days where we did not leave the resort but it was fun to do some of the excursions too. We loved the spa too; it was one of the best massages I've gotten. Overall, this resort is a dream and I would love to go back.

Two pools, one for all ages and another solely for adults. I think there were really only 4 restaurants in the entire hotel site. Chevycheria, which is a beach ceviche spot. Spice Market, which was Vietnamese. Venazu, which admittedly I didn't visit. And Rubra, which has a $200.00 tasting menu. There's also the pool food, which was perfectly adequate. If you're more of a vacationer than a traveler, then I think you'll find your stay here more than enjoyable. It is a hassle trying to get an uber to get you to the airport or to puerto vallarta, but there are also 2 or 3 other hotels in the area, so there may be drivers around. Regarding my experience, I was slightly annoyed that I didn't get a Marriot Elite upgrade to my room (the hostess said since I booked with points, that was a no-go). In reading someone else's Yelp review, they mentioned they at least got free breakfasts, which annoys me even more now since I wasn't offered that. Cleaning was spotty, as the first day the room wasn't cleaned until 6:00pm or so. The next day the room wasn't even cleaned at all. Overall, not an incredibly huge fan.

The property is truly stunning from the rooms, to the restaurants, the pools, the beach (our favorite), and the spa (absolutely must book something at the Spa to experience it). The excursion we booked was great and very easy to coordinate as you can book through the hotel. Truly what made this trip so special though was staff. They were absolutely amazing and all so kind. From the front to desk to wait staff to spa to bellhops. A couple special shoutouts below and I hope whoever is reading this gets to meet them: Itza: AMAZING poolside service. We loved getting to know her and she was so kind to us and remembered our orders after the first day so we would come down to the pool or back from the beach and have our drinks waiting for us. Augustino: Incredibly friendly and anticipated everything we could need. He had waters waiting for us at our chairs, drink refills just as we finished our current drinks, great food recommendations, and even better conversations. Gabby: At venazu she was our waitress on our first night and she was so fun to talk to. We chatted with her throughout the rest of our stay and is so much fun! Marco: FANTASTIC bartender at the living room bar. Was so nice chatting with him and having him make some cocktails or trying new liquors we haven't had before. Leiti & Gustavo: Both were fantastic at the front desk from check-in to check-out. We stopped by a few times throughout our stay to check on things and they were always so kind and helpful. There are five king-bed rooms located over multiple floors, with the top floor being a small pool, jacuzzi, 4 lounge chairs, tables, and high chairs with a view of the city and ocean. You will need to take the stairs in order to access any of the floors. Located 6 blocks east of the ocean. It is on a hill so be prepared to get a bit of a workout on your walk up. (There's also a stadium 8 min walk away with a running track and some exercise equipment as well.) It's quite a special place. We were privileged to meet one of the owners, Jorge and hear about all the thought that went into the making of this hotel. Luis was a great concierge and host as well.

Quite the opposite the property is comparable to USA Courtyard by Marriott. Room is very comfortable, spacious, firm bed w extra pillows and blankets, walk in shower bath, minibar area along w microwave and small refrigerator. Got ice at onsite bar and Starbucks. Complimentary breakfast served each morning. Full bar has nightly 2/1 happy hour. Onsite free parking. Additional independent Restaurant also in front of property. Guest pool and fitness center. Friendly and attentive staff. Only criticism would be small size of tv and lack of US channels but not really an issue. Central location to cruise port. Would gladly return in future. Priced right and easily accessible.

The room ended up with great A/C and was pretty quiet as well. I thought the pool was a rooftop pool, but it is street level with big windows into the lobby, which was not my style. You can walk to Wal-Mart and Sam's Club and pick up anything you would want. Check out is at 1 PM which is a nice change too. My room also had a great view which was a nice start to the trip. The housekeepers also helped me out of the elevators with my luggage when I was struggling solo - this is such a small gesture but shows they care for their guests. I'd come back when I need a more basic/slim hotel. Gracias.
