The property manager Kiylea is an absolute nightmare to work with. She is very combative and rude. She's had a history of very poor property management and somehow keeps getting jobs. Just moved out of this complex. It was ok, but not the greatest. Loved the layout and location: I moved in December 2022. Prior to move in, I hired movers and got permission for the moving truck to park in my spot over night. During arrival, the leasing office said they didn't have room for my moving truck. I work a very demanding job and needed the truck left over night. What was I supposed to do with all of my stuff? I ended up parking the truck in my assigned spot for the night. Moved in and the dishwasher didn't work. Flooded the whole entire kitchen but they fixed it. All other applances worked great. They enter the apartment on very short notice. Like 1-2 days notice on your door. I was out of town for work for a week and they came in to replace the bathtub/showerhead appliances. Everything was left a mess and they did a terrible job. Left cracks in the wall. The complex went downhill. Trash not being picked up, ants, thugs breaking into cars, damaged structures not being fixed Moved out in October and they have new management. Very nice people but super unprofessional. Cussing, showing up late, and lack of communication. I'm glad to be out of there but it could have been a lot worse! read more

At this point if I could rate no stars I would. My husband and I moved to the complex last October, when we first moved in the front office staff were communicative and got things done efficiently. Maintenance was responsive and reliable. That has not been the case in the past 6 months or so. The front office staff is always changing. Maintenance doesn't respond to requests in a timely fashion - sometimes waiting weeks on end. We noticed water Sunday October 1st appearing near the closet where our washer & dryer are, originally thinking it was a fluke. However Monday after getting home from work we noticed more water accumulated through out the day. Put in a maintenance request that evening- stating possible leak and marked as high urgency. Tuesday and Wednesday went by without anyone coming by to check on the situation. Thursday 10/5 I had time in between patients to call the front office and was finally able to get a hold of someone - who stated my request seemed like it wasn't urgent and that with "possible leak" they hadn't deemed it important enough to send someone out. I proceeded to tell her that I marked it as urgent and that a water leak isn't something that should be taken lightly. She then sent out maintenance who came in, assessed the leak wasn't from our unit but from the unit above us. Whoever I spoke to with maintenance told me they had to have a vendor come out because it was more work then they were capable of. No biggie. I get it. However, when I came home from work there was a giant hole in my bedroom closet, which I was not prepared for, there was plaster and debris left carelessly on the floor. They sent out service pros who brought in fans and a machine to remove moisture. Service pros left about 10 minutes after setting up around 2/2:30 telling me they would be back. No one came back that night. We couldn't get a hold of the office. Everything was just left up in the air. (And so far that has been how the entire situations been handled. There has been ZERO communication.) We called the next day they told us they needed to repair the stuff upstairs then would be back to reassess the moisture level. They didn't come until Monday or Tuesday the following week to do so, they added another unit Thursday 10/12 and still crickets. During this time no one has called with updates, we have been having to call the office daily to try to get an update but no one knows what's happening and it honestly feels like no one cares. Our cat who is diabetic and on medications had to be taken to my elderly parents house since the fans are so loud and scary for him. It's now 10/17 and after multiple calls and trips to the office we still are left in dark about what is happening in our home. Our pet isn't with us. We are all upset. So far the only helpful people have been temp workers, Daphne at the front office is abrasive, uncompassionate and when talking to my husband regarding the situation said she had "already dealt with your wife's wrath". Completely unprofessional. No one has seemed to care at all about this being our home and act like us wanting to know what is happening is a problem. We spend almost $1700 a month for our one bedroom apartment and shouldn't have to deal with this. read more

This is definitely unacceptable and a health and safety issue. How can you charge $1735 for rent and not have this place up to standards. We've seen roaches and more roaches in this filthy uninhabitable place since we moved in on Friday, 10/22/21. This place is below our living standards and the pictures on the web or very misleading. We moved here from Charlotte, NC only to move into a unclean, filthy apartment that was not newly renovated as it was shared with us. Moved out 8/25/2024. Still have NOT received my security deposit as of 1/17/2025. Sent numerous emails. Left weekly message. Only received one phone call return with a promise to call me back because I submitted a negative review and was given a contact phone number and name to call. History is stupid. Moved in and three month's later was told I owed another $1485.00 security deposit and if I didn't pay it I would lose in court. Signed an agreement to make monthly payments on top of my rent. Paid in FULL. New manager came in and audited my account and resolved I NEVER owed the $1485.00. The original $400.00 I paid was correct. Reverses the payment by not paying rent my last two months. Oh! October 2023 management lost my money order for rent. I had a receipt and copies of money order. Instead of noting this they made my account look late every month racking up to over $3000.00 in late fees. New management corrected that too. Never got a move out notice of how I left the apartment. Thankfully I took pictures. I need my $400.00 returned like yesterday. All Aaron is saying is: 30-days blah blah blah. My accountant is working on it. My team is on it. Ciara will call you back. I am going to keep on bugging until I get my justice of the return of my security deposit. They treat me like I'm insignificant. I'm 62 years old, black, woman, and disabled. If I could I would give no stars, I called a few months ago and even put a work order because the wall in the bathroom looked wet, the solution? They could paint over it. They recently got new people in the front office who are absolutely horrible, they don't answer the phone, when you walk in they're rude. They sent something out saying there would be security going around at night, not once have I seen them. The apartments are beyond outdated and not in a style way- the outlets barely work and your cords will hang/fall out. Never took me old roommate off the lease even though both sat there and watch them tell us it was done. Your car WILL be vandalized of some sort while being there and they don't care nor offer anything to make up for the multiple issues you WILL have. The crowd the comes through here is, a lot which is what it is but nothing gets done about it nor are we compensated or even given something to make up for it. Maintenance work HORRIBLE, front desk workers constantly forget to respond or just don't....probably because they go through maintenxe and front of the house people like crazy so that should be enough of a hint. Don't have get me started on the SCAM they are trying to pull w me for "carpet replacement" when I have pictures and receipts of what it looked like when I left. They use a carpet company that NO MATTER WHAT WILL CHARGE TOU TO REPLACE THE CARPET. I couldn't wait to move out of there and was shocked by what they're trying to pull during my move out. By far the worst DONT MOVE IN HERE SUPER LOUD appt complex. If you work from home. Management won't do anything about noice complaints. Windows are super thin can hear everything coming from the car ports. Never had hot water and always are shutting off the water for repairs. I have complaint about my upstairs neighbor, playing with his dogs inside his unit, causing all types of noise in my unit, shaking walls, cracking of the ceiling, shaking windows and shaking doors!!! Absolute scam of an apartment complex. I lived here for 2 years and our water was constantly shut off, our dryer never worked right and management CONSTANTLY changed. They purposely tell you information you want to hear just to turn around and go back on their word and preach "it's in your lease". This place sent a bill to collections in my name because they didn't bother to file my forwarding address when I moved out during COVID. Not a single person in management could explain why they didn't have my new address when I wrote it down IN THE OFFICE FOR THEM or why I was charged extra when I was specifically told I wouldn't be. They blatantly took advantage of a young female (me) and it's cost me greatly. ConAm doesn't want to work with me on this issue either and it's been over a year. My credit is ruined and I owe them over $1000. Ridiculous of them to even consider themselves a decent establishment. Do not move here if you're a single female. If I could, I would give absolutely zero stars. I moved out sometime around September, allegedly my refund was sent via mail. I never received my refund so I contacted the office, they claimed that the check was already cut and sent out my due. It still has not been sent to the address that I had put down. I finally decided on one of my days off to go in and see what was going on they said that they would have the check sent to the office so I could pick it up, it is already been about 2 to 2 1/2 weeks and I still haven't heard anything from them. The ladies up front are nice but I feel like they are extremely unhelpful. They owe me $1500-$1700 and let's be honest being a single mother, I could definitely use that money right now. I tried reaching out to them today, but I am assuming they are closed so I will be reaching out again on Saturday. Most of these residents are just too stupid to voice opinions or write a review because they think this is high living. Everyone else should not only be writing reviews but they should be contacting the Better Business Bureau on their website and filing a complaint against Vista Sureno Management and ConAm for overcharging for rents and providing next to no goods or services. It's now become a con job and the entire staff is being told to lie to the residents and now they are also trying to intimidate residents who call the police on other residents. Oh, Surprise Surprise....met two residents (women) at the dumpster today, one in her 40's and one in her 70's and they both told me that they have had enough crap conditions living in this complex. One said that rain comes in her door all over the inside of the apartment and maintenance never fixed it, and the other woman told me that she's breaking her lease because she's had enough of this place. What you are about to read in my other comment below is what happens when you piss off a good paying model resident. I've suffered greatly living here because of inconsideration of the other residents, and now I'm sick and tired and have PTSD from living here. The current manager Kirsten is also to blame because she did not handle another terrible inconvenience with a witch who just had to burn sage on her terrace and who stunk out the entire area breathing air for an entire day. This was the camel that broke the camel's back and now I just don't care about anything. I hope the new owner of Vista Sureno is made aware of the conditions here at Vista Sureno. This low-end management company is gouging tenants on rents. This property is definitely not worth the money they are charging. My advice is keep on searching anywhere other than here. 1) Property has been a filthy mess all over the property for years, including the grounds, driveways, and resident terraces. 2) Managers are always crying poverty and that there is no money in the budget for any type of luxuries or fixing major problems. 3) This property is tantamount to a "slumlord" owner and management company, yet feel justified in charging very high rents because of the supposed supply and demand. 4) This property has many issues, including water being out of service or down or no hot water over 25 times in the last couple of years. Sometimes water is down for 12 hours because the property is very old and has very old pipes, so they keep breaking underground. 5) Currently, ConAm is gouging renters for high rents but this property cannot compete with better properties that are charging high rents. 6) There are no amenities to speak of other than a backyard pool, two Stairmasters and a coke machine. And the business center is a joke. 7) There are not enough parking spaces and there are constant parking problems. You have to have people towed out of your covered parking spot which is paid for by the resident. 8) The dumpsters on the property are old, beat up, and stink. The dumpster gates have been damaged by the garbage trucks and management is doing nothing about it. 9) There have been four community managers in the last couple of years and they are immature and inexperienced. 10) The office staff are about as friendly as snakes with bad attitudes, and they never answer the phone when anyone calls. 11) There are very unsavory residents who live here and many of them have substance abuse problems, cigarettes, pot, crack. These people are also slobs and their apartments and terraced are filthy. There are also children living here with these drug addicts. During Covid, Vista Sureno was a drug haven. 12) There is no Security Patrol on the property, so you have to call the police all the time. 13) Last week they had a Grab and Go Breakfast to show their appreciation to the residents. I guess a granola bar and orange juice was suppose to show how much they love gouging you for everything you are not getting. Oh, Surprise Surprise....met two residents (women) at the dumpster today, one in her 40's and one in her 70's and they both told me that they have had enough crap conditions living in this complex. One said that rain comes in her door all over the inside of the apartment and maintenance never fixed it, and the other woman told me that she's breaking her lease because she's had enough of this place because they forgot to renew her lease and then jacked her rent up $500.00 per month. The office management at this place is just terrible. Yesterday I came home after working at my job doing COVID testing to find that my apartment wreaked Of resurfacing chemicals. The smell was so pungent that my dogs had thrown up everywhere and they were both sneezing repeatedly and unable to breath due to the smell. I immediately took them out and by the time they got outside they were choking to breath. Had i have worked any longer (sometimes I work 10 hour shifts) they might not have made it honestly because they are very small dogs. Mind you my apartment was not being resurfaced, it was a unit near mine. The smell was so strong it traveled through the AC ducts all the way to my unit. I was not given any notification that any unit near mine was being resurfaced, if that were the case I would have made other arrangements. Needless to say I was furious and my mom was as well who came to visit me that very day. I Called the office and they said they'd send someone over to open the windows to the apartment being resurfaced. Hung up from speaking with them, walked around to see that the doors and windows to this apartment were already opened. 5 minutes later I get a call from the staff regarding a vehicle needing to be moved that doesn't even belong to me. I requested that there needed to be some sort of refund given for this day To stay at a hotel overnight or something because it was obvious my dogs couldn't stand another minute in that environment. Response from office staff was they don't give refunds for resurfacing. Wow. Myself and my oblivious mom went to the office and she yelled at the office woman Amanda for 10 minutes or so. Amanda's response was the same, they don't give refunds and that we could talk to her boss on Monday who she's left messages for regarding this event. I wonder how this is going to play out, either way I don't plan to renew my lease here. Making other overnight living arrangements during this pandemic are hell and make me uneasy being an essential worker so I attempted to open all the windows to air it out. After 2 hours of sitting in my car With my dogs the smell had finally dissipated. I returned to my apartment only to find that after running the AC for a hour it went back to the same chemically smell. Just to give an update nobody cared enough to contact me back regarding this ordeal. Her boss who she emailed and left a message for hasn't called me back. It's been weeks. read more

I am a current resident here and have been a resident for 5+ years. I am choosing to stay anonymous because I have already had several uncomfortable and quite frankly frustrating conversations with the management and the maintenance. First off the parking situation here is just god awful. You can not find a single free parking space after 10 p.m no matter what day of the week it is. So if you have to run out in an emergency you risk loosing your spot for the entire night pretty much, meanwhile there are many covered parking spaces that are completely open but of course in order to use them you have to give them more money and pay for it. Well we already have a paid parking stall and obviously we have multiple cars in our household so that just leaves us stuck if there is no parking stalls left at all. Second we were expecting a brand new apartment which we were told was going be and instead we moved into a dirty and half done apartment that they just basically painted over the walls and called it a day. Obviously the previous tenants had done a lot living in this apartment so it was very disappointing to be told one thing and it not be that at all. Third while we have complained several times about this we have been given pretty bad customer service and they make us feel like they don't believe us when we are telling them what's wrong with our apartment. They talk to us like there is nothing they can do and that they don't understand what we want from them. This place wasn't great pretty much the entire time I've lived here. The tenants all around have always been terrible, with nobody cleaning their dog poop up, to the cops always being called and roaming around this place, to aggressive driving and fighting for parking spaces. I have looked at the reviews for this place and it seems a lot of people have had issues with this place as well. I probably wouldn't recommend living here especially when there are plenty of nicer places here in Ahwatukee. And if that's too expensive for you which most of them are then Ahwatukee is not the place to move to. I unfortunately have to ride it out for one more year at this place, I will not be signing a new lease and encourage you to read this and the other reviews and beware of this place. read more

The property manager amanda will literally take your phone if she feels comfortable with you enough and put good reviews on here herself, she did it to my partner. So I wouldn't be surprise if half of the people writing reviews is either/or working with this company or was bribed to put good reviews on here. Just beware they have eyes and ears everywhere, if a property manager cant be honest about their own property than that should say something about their loyalty or trust. Also they have a very bad water problem I wouldn't recommend you even cooking with that water. They are constantly having water shut off etc... And lately the polices stay out there it's a shame. They are called every other day which is very weird, I never seen anything like it the 2yrs I was living there, and reportedly my kids had to come inside because there was a man walking around with a gun outside. I guess they are that desperate for residents that they dont think about the safety for the elderly and kids especially. Then they have residents complain about the kids out there but they dont have anything for the kids to do. No park no nothing. They use to have security but God knows what happened with that.
