This agency lies about former consumers. Spreads falsehoods with others and denies services to…read morethose with mental illness in retribution for complaints being made against former Counselors. It used to be a fine agency when run by Donna Crookham and Amanda Larkin. I have never been a threatening person. If anything I spread love when I shouldn't. Yet I have been threatened with arrest if I come to any location. This includes Ottumwa's only Peer Supports The Promise Center and a Support Group both of which are entirely open to the public. I will not go to SIMHC for counseling unless the Powers that Be change but by God I do need peer support. I cannot stress that enough. This agency deteriorated my mental health to the point I felt suicidal.
