Their website is easy to use, and on the few occasions I've had to speak with customer service regarding a question about pausing an order or with help in regards to accommodating a nut allergy, they have been quick to respond, incredibly friendly, and very helpful. Now, let's talk about the food. Absolutely delicious! I love that they have a good mix of interesting cuisines, and that every meal is gluten and dairy free. Over the course of the six months that I have been a subscriber, I've only had about five or six meals that I didn't personally care for, and that wasn't because they weren't good, just my own personal preference. Lunch is always a delicious salad of some form (with a protein), and twice a week lunch also comes with a delicious soup. Their dressings are always so yummy, and you'd never guess they are dairy free! The dinners are SO good! I'd pick a favorite, but honestly, there have been too many to name here. Additionally, there is enough variety and variance in their menu that I've never felt bored with my meals, even after six months. I love that their packaging is 100% compostable, even the stickers they use! Another bonus is that they reuse the bags and ice packs they deliver your food in. On the days that I have a food delivery from them, I simply set the previous order's bag and ice packs outside, and they take it with them after dropping off my new order. I really love this. I have used other services in the past, but I hated all of the waste from the weekly packaging and trying to dispose of the used ice packs. I should also mention that deliveries come twice a week, so your food is always extremely fresh, and the handful of rotating delivery drivers they use are all incredibly friendly and professional. Pricing wise, I actually spend less than I do at the grocery store. I think this is because when I'm at the grocery store, I'm often tempted by all of the snacks and goodies in front of my eyes, and end up putting way more in my basket than I actually need. If you are looking for a local healthy, fresh, gluten/dairy-free, eco-friendly meal delivery service, you really need to try out Westerly!

The green curry was light, aromatic and had very clean flavors, tender chicken breast and mixed veggies, solid. The Soft Shell Crab Dry Curry was probably the BEST THAI dish I've had in a long time. The crabs battered and fried until crispy and crunchy. Stir fried in with the crab innards, curry paste/spice and mixed vegetables, I couldn't stop eating it. You can tell she is thoughtful, kind, and efficient. Her communication and respectful ways make all the difference when someone cooks meals for you in your home. She is very responsive to our messages and always sends a menu for our review and input before the week's visit. I don't usually enjoy people in my home while I'm working, but Renee is a delight and unobtrusive. Of course, she'll talk with you if you want, but there is no forced anything or awkwardness with her. She has a great vibe and will get right to work. She knows her craft so well that before you know it your home smells wonderful and your kitchen is as clean as it was before she got there (I honestly don't know how she does it). Renee has been cooking six servings of three meals for us flawlessly since we first met her. She even catered a large garden party we had last year where you could tell quantity did not jeopardize the quality of her food. Every bite was packed with delicious whole ingredients and no corner was cut. Renee can meet all of our dietary restrictions (gluten, dairy, nightshade, seed oil, and some nut intolerances) and offer meals that are incomparable to what we can find in restaurants or cook for ourselves. I cannot stress how delicious everything is. There has never been a time when we weren't blown away by her creations. The balance of flavor and spice is some of the most unique and delightful I have ever tasted. You can tell she's constantly learning new recipes and perfecting them for herself and her clients. Yesterday's sun still clinging to the leaves! When I've given friends different fruits and veggies they always agree, it's not just tasty but it last longer than any organic fresh foods you can get at a grocery store. So, it saves us $$ ! We usually order the Northwest Box, as that allows us to eat the most local, seasonal foods. Wintertime we go back to a broader area to choose from, a treat as well. I go online to order more produce, or great steel cut oats, or rosemary rolls from The Breadfarm in Bow, or maybe albacore caught and packed in Oregon or Alaskan salmon or many various sundries, and the laundry soap? Lasts forever, is so compact, without the fillers and waters and unnecessary chemicals. It's gentle on my sensitive skin and strong enough to deal with my husbands undershirts.
