She was having significant tooth pain and needed attention. Unfortunately, we arrived about 10 minutes late because there was an accident on the way and some streets were closed. I understand offices have schedules and policies, and I respect that. However, I was disappointed with the way the situation was handled. We were told the doctor could not see my daughter because they were closing at 5 PM and there was not enough time, so we had to reschedule almost 3 weeks later. What bothered me most was the way we were spoken to at the front desk. I felt the interaction lacked compassion and understanding, especially considering my daughter was in pain and had already missed school that day. We have been patients at this office for many years because Dr. Kourtsounis ("Dr. K") has always been an excellent and caring doctor. This review is not about the doctor, but about the customer service experience we had during this visit.

It also has what appears to be the top of the line, latest, and newest technology. It makes for easier, more efficient visits. It makes all other dental offices I've ever visited look old, cramped, dirty, and outdated. Both our girls got their braces with Doctor Chan-Ly, and we couldn't be happier. Plus, they're located in the bayside commons shopping strip, which usually means you have plenty of parking.

Ease of Appointment: Called for an initial inquiry and was led step by step to finalize an appointment. Although I was ready to pay out of pocket, Rahema was able to check into my insurance and found out there was going to be a discount/copay from my insurance. Paperwork: Straightforward and no nonsense. Follow-up- Immediate. A phone call by the doctor was made a couple hours after the tooth extraction to check in on the patient. ----------------- The actual experience------- Upon arrival, paperwork was filled out and the doctor was able to see my daughter immediately for a tooth extraction. Bedside manner of the doctor was excellent. Transition of the procedure was smooth. Additional paperwork for maintenance was given. A cute tooth holder was given to my daughter as well as additional supplies. Later that evening, the doctor called to check in to see how she was doing. I wish I could give this place a zero…read more Okay so here is some background before I start my review. I'm currently 31 weeks pregnant and have been receiving prenatal care at my OBGYN. My OBGYN has been my doctor for years when I lived in Brooklyn and I was really excited when he opened an office in the Bronx. Now he told me he prefers if his pregnant patients at around 28 weeks transfer to a clinic associated with the hospital they want to give birth. This was not a problem for me, I would make sure I had an appointment scheduled at the clinic before then. So May comes around and I call this clinic to schedule my appointment, at this point Im 24 or 23 weeks pregnant. I tell the receptionist everything I just mentioned above. She says no problem when you come in just bring in your medical record/ prenatal care records from your OBGYN. We schedule the appointment for June 20th at 1pm. Around the middle of June I call to tell them my insurance has changed, but guess what they cant find my appointment in the system at all. So at this point she says I will reach out to the head doctor to see if we can schedule you in earlier because there are not appointment until late July. I say okay and I wait for her call. Since then I have called multiple times and i mean multiple time they keep telling me we are waiting for the doctor to respond. Mind you not once have they reached out to me. This is the most unprofessional doctors office I have worked with. I'm lucky and blessed to be having a great pregnancy with no complications, but at this point I cannot get a doctors appointment at any other clinic because no one has availability. The doctor or manager of the clinic should of made an exception since it was their receptionist mistake. My suggestion is look else and if you do use them call multiple times before your appointment to make sure you actually have one. Sorry if there are a lot of typos Im writing this while on the train. Anybody here going to this location I wish you good luck they may forget to put vital information in your records.
