We didn't plan out or drive from Toledo to San Sebastián/Donastia, so we were googling interesting stops along the way. Luckily, Burgos in Castile and León came up with some amazing medieval and gothic architecture (the Monasterio de las Huelgas!).
We parked by the Arco de Fernán Gonzalez, which was within walking distance from the Mirador Del Castillo as well as the Burgos Cathredral/Cathedral of Saint Mary of Burgos. Luckily, we got hungry by the Cathedral and walked right into this place.
The view here is simply unbeatable- on one side, you are facing the Burgos Cathredral and all the tourists and the square. On the other, you have the tree-lined streets and river. This is a win-win situation. The decor is super clean and cute.
The staff is very friendly, and speak English. Their menus also come in English, which was a nice break for us.
Let me just say, the juices were great and the food was phenomenal. We ordered some fruit/veggie juices that were just delicious, and the tabulé (tabbouleh) and shakshuka (shakshouka). The food was just amazing- you really just have to go and try for yourself. I can't event put into words how refreshing and tasty our meal was. Don't miss this one! read more
