My husband and I are harsh pizza critics and this is shockingly good Neapolitan style pizza! We got…read morethe marinara which has a sweet tomato sauce and delicious, flavorful, pillowy, chewy crust. My husband enjoyed the meatballs. I also had to go back and get a special zucchini ricotta pizza, and we couldn't even finish an amazing goat cheese salad with caramelized red onions and pine nuts with the perfect honey dressing. I already want to go back to Bath and explore the cute town and try the Margherita among others at the Oven!

Maybe this is the best pizza in Bath, but it's very mediocre. Kind of flavorless really. And took…read moreforever to get - more than an hour (almost 90 min) after we ordered it. We waited long after others who had come in after us. Service was okay - they lost our booking somehow. I had the confirmation and the email reminder on my phone that I showed them. They were very confused but seated us and honored it. We started with a salad and the focaccia (which was really just a white pizza). Both were good. They have some nice wines. Then we had margherita pizzas and one speciality pizza. I asked for some chili oil to help give it some flavor but even that wasn't spicy. For dessert we had some ice cream and I tried a cannoli. Also mediocre. The shell was overdone and the cheese was just okay. I've never had one that only was made with ricotta and no mascarpone at all. Overall would not return - there are other good places in Bath we would like to try.

The interior is beautiful, I just love how they've kept so many of the church's features rather than modernising everything! The food is great and the drinks are yummy (especially their hot chocolates!), unfortunately they are a little on the pricey side for what you order. There is usually always somewhere to sit so booking anything isn't really required. Services is usually good and fast, however a couple of times food ordered by my friends and it took a while to arrive at the table; the place wasn't even busy and all we had ordered was salad and soups! The politeness of the staff depends who is on duty: most are polite and charming while others seem constantly grumpy and annoyed by your presence. One great thing that I should mention is a recent event that was held there: Dine in the Dark. This fun event took place to raise money for training guide-dogs for the blind. The aim of the night was to eat a two course meal while blindfolded! It was one of the best charity events I have been to!

Would advise giving them a call to reserve if going to dinner as can get busy or you want to sit on the bigger tables.

PLEASE NOTE: We ordered delivery from The Stable through Deliveroo…read more I was craving pizza and unsure where to get delivery from, but I really liked that The Stable made their fresh sourdough every morning using organic grains from Gloucestershire (and, actually, many of their ingredients are local). Also, they've got several plant-based options, all of which are clearly labeled on their menu. We got two Vegan Margheritas (currently £11.50) because we had heard the pizzas run a bit on the small side. I'm so glad we did; they were extremely thin and maybe the same size as something found in the frozen food aisle at the grocery store! Underwhelming all around: they were not hot upon arrival, and had absolutely no flavor. We're glad we got one each of the dips (currently £1.75; all plant-based): the garlic-herb mayo and the chipotle mayo being my favorites, the BBQ and burger sauce being my partner's favorite. They honestly did all the work for this meal. I'm not sure I would order delivery from here again. I see they've added some new things to the menu since I've last been, I haven't tried the tots yet (and how can you go wrong with fried potato), and I've never dined inside so... never say never, right?
