LL opened roughly 6 mos ago, it's a gym I want to go to, a gym I look forward to going to. I have to drive 10 min to get there vs going to Crunch which is 1 min away. Being in a gym owned and managed by fitness people, seeing fitness competitors working out for upcoming shows or just seeing people who are focused builds my motivation. This gym is hands down the best gym for miles. There's a good amount of cardio equipment, (stairmasters, treadmills, spin bikes etc). There's various benches, plate-loaded and racked machines from various manufacturers. All equipment is carefully curated to meet the needs of the gym's members. And what's best, in the few months they've been open, I've already witnessed at least 6-10 machines be removed and replaced with more high-end pieces. If you can't tell, I'm so pumped (some pun) that The Lifters Lair has opened, I look forward to lifting through the winter.

The facility is well equipped - EliteFTS equipment, specialty bars, prowlers, ghds, bump/metal plates, InBody etc. etc. and clean. It is the hardest but fun workout and you leave every day feeling accomplished. I was part of a regular gym for 5 years and only went 5 times in 5 years, here...I go 5 times in 1 week! I may be the oldest woman here but they challenge me like everyone else and I like that. I'm not the fastest or strongest but I'm am the fittest that I can be and that is good enough for me. My experience with personal training has been a disappointment (putting it mildly). After two sessions where my trainer was double booked, today my session that was supposed to start at 7:15am never happened as he showed up 15 minutes late. That all though he is supposed to confirm my sessions didn't recall my start time. Again, after two previous issues with scheduling the third time was enough. Management.... Who is that??? When I show up they aren't there and the front desk staff has no clue when they're supposed to be there. Example, today (5/23) I was told someone from management would be in after 9am. I returned after 12pm and guess what nobody from management or personal training management showed up. ---------- I've been a member for almost a month. What a disappointment and I'm starting to think a waste of money. Can't book any classes. When I attempt to I get errors and by the time I refresh the app the classes are full. One of the hand dryers in the women's bathroom has been broke since I signed up at the gym. No out of order sign on the dryer. I informed the front desk and it was like they had no clue. I had to inform the staff that there was toilet paper all over the floor one Saturday. I was told they had no female cleaning staff working and would send a female personal trainer in there. Seriously a personal trainer doing janitor duties?? The most annoying and disappointing part of this gym is their training. Ridiculous that I put in all my sessions when I purchased the package. Why is time available and then the trainer gets double booked? And then while I'm confirmed (or think I am) I don't learn until I'm about to head to the gym of this schedule conflict. What's the point of an app booking sessions?
