We own a number of Wesceramics cobalt planters. Recently, we purchased 2 pots from Wences O. (Sales Director & COO), and the process went reasonably well. I paid for the pots plus a delivery fee in advance via Zelle, and he personally delivered the pots. On March 4, 2026, I started an email communication with Wences to order 2 matching saucers. On March 5th, I sent Wences payment via Zelle for 2 saucers plus a delivery fee. After multiple follow-up emails, 2 saucers were delivered on April 9th by an employee. Unfortunately, one was the wrong size so the employee took it, and I was left with one. I soon realized that it was not even close in size to matching our existing saucers in height. On April 28th, Wences emailed me pics of the replacement saucers prior to delivery. He agreed to reglaze them since the color was so far off. On May 4th (60 days), I requested a refund due to the poor quality product and service received. Wences declined to honor my request since our saucers are a "special order". Why? I don't know since they're published as a stock item in their ceramic catalog. On May 19th, he responded to my follow up emails by offering to replace the saucer that I have plus delivering the saucer that was the wrong size. Since he would not honor a refund after 60 days of not fulfilling my order, I agreed to at least accept his offer to deliver the 2 correct saucers. As I write this review, Wences has not responded to my emails requesting status updates since May 19th (30 days). After 3-1/2 months since order placement, Wences has my $ but has yet to deliver the correct products - 2 saucers. Unacceptable product and service. If you want to avoid this kind of time consuming and frustrating transaction, avoid buying from Garden Outlet or Wesceramics. Buy from a reputable San Diego area garden center. Buyer beware!

They have an extensive selection to choose from and if you don't find what you're looking for, they will help you find it. Their prices may be a little higher for some items compared to corporate stores like Home Depot but the quality justifies the price. For some other things, they are actually the lowest price. The nursery is clean and organized with plenty of workers to help assist you with picking something out, answering any questions, or helping you load things into the car. I was in and out within 15 minutes! The parking lot is plentiful so no issues there. For parents of little ones or those who love watching mini trains, they have a huge mini train track set up outside in the back by the bonsai trees. A fun and free entertainment to keep your kids occupied while you shop. We bought an apple tree so hope it's fruitful (crossing fingers)!

GX Drive - Price Score - 90 GX Impact - 1.5 Prices are fair compared to other Viveros. For Americans, the Dollar Purchasing Power is around 3X. For example, a wooden pot that costs $45 in the US will cost $15 at Vivero Playas. GX Driver - Service Score - 82 GX Impact - 2.0 Preventing this score from being 90 were two things. First, they are lightly-staffed with one-on-one expertise. So, when its peak hours, patience is needed, a struggle for American Consumers in today's on-demand culture. Also, their delivery service is under-equipped and understaffed. If you're going to offer it, make sure this last-mile delivery is a white glove experience as its the last impression you'll have on your customer. GX Driver - Communication Score - 95 GX Impact - 1.5 Fully proficient and bilingual. Frequent texting and updates on order pricing and status. Nice work here. COVID Readiness Score - 90 GX Impact - 4.0 While I don't recall having a temperature scan at the entrance, all staff wore masks, and those interacting with clients wore plastic shields as well. Hand gel is available and signage describing COVID protocols was clear and visible. Delivery options need to improve to accommodate COVID demand. They have a beautiful selection of plants and flowers for you to choose from everything looks well taken care of the flowers are so beautiful. They have an area also which I thought was considerate where you can leave your plant there in one area while you continue to shop and look around. They have staff available walking around working to ask any questions you may have about the plants or how to take care of them, which was very nice. They also had some local artists artwork of pots you can use and decor as well The plants were about average in price nothing outrageous than I saw compared to other plant stores . We found our plants and flowers well worth the price we paid. I would definitely go back again very nice nursery plants, flowers and trees.
