I went to Vivid Nails due to the positive online reviews. I just wanted a pedicure. The shop was not busy and I waited 20 minutes. When I finally got a technician they gave a really horrible pedicure. No massage, did not trim nail well, barely removed calluses - it was like they had never done a pedicure before. I received a wonderful pedicure and asked for a simple manicure but ended up with clear gel on my nails. I think the price for the pedicure is the going rate, $35, but $30 for just a manicure seemed high. They also do not use liners in their pedicure tubs and no water beads for scent, so not sure if I will return. However, the employees are super nice. read more

The nail salon is clean, staff is friendly, & they have discounts for $5 off. I like long acrylic nails besides that I tried dip nails from this place that literally fell of in less than two days. Then I went back to the nail salon a week later with my real nails. So they wanted to try acrylic nails this time that broke the same day... so I used tape to fix them. read more

My favorite place to get my nails done at a reasonable price! The staff here is so, so friendly and accomodating. I never had to go out of my way to make an appointment and they always make room for me. Their service is one of the best; the staff is so friendly and love getting to know and talk to you, making you feel at ease. They also certainly make sure you're getting what you want too so that you're not unsatisfied. The store and facility is clean and well-kept and doesn't smell strongly of product and chemicals. This establishment also offers snacks on occassion as well! For $38 you can get a dipped manicure and they have tons of cute and beautiful colors to choose from. They also have discounts for $5 off your first visit as a customer and stamp cards to use for discounts for loyal customers. I liked the atmosphere. Met the owner. He was very nice and accommodating. Everyone was pleasant. Didn't smell bad. Apparently I picked a color that isn't used often or something. Rather than encouraging me to choose another color the technician tried to make it work. Put on 3 coats. I believe it Should have had 4-5. Never got close to the cuticle area so looked grown out some that same day. After I got home and could really pay attention i was pretty disappointed. I love this place! Minh is who I see regularly and she is wonderful! However, I like all of the people there and would let any of them do my nails or a pedicure at any time. I am very particular about how people do manicures and pedicures and I have no complaints. My husband would take me to random places for pedicures and I was never satisfied and he would always end up bleeding from other place's services but not here, now he won't go anywhere else. I am very hard on my nails and if in between appointments I damage a nail they fix it - no charge. They want you to be happy here! I always feel relaxed here and never feel like they are rushing through their service. Bring cash and get double punches for their loyalty card for $5 off your next appointment! If I could give negative stars I would. I am new to Wichita. I had never been here before. Vivid nails has good reviews on here, so I went with it. I called on a Monday and made an appointment for the next day, Tuesday afternoon at 1. I arrived at the appointment time and no one was available to do my nails, but I wasn't informed of this. I was just told sign in and someone will be right with me. So I sat there for 20 minutes, before I decided it was ridiculous to continue waiting for a business who clearly didn't care I had an appointment. Total waste of my time. I have to hire baby sitters for my baby so I can get my nails done, so this place has wasted my time and money. Also, the floor in the waiting area just grossed me out (I took a picture and I will post it if I can figure out how) . I'm not sure how this place has gotten such high reviews at all. Vivid Nails was a terrible experience so Ill definitely be giving my time and money to a better place. Though it's on the other side of town, I'll always make the drive to go to Princess Nails on Rock Road. So friendly and fast, even without an appointment. I've had both Annie and Nina do my nails and they are both fabulous. And their place is so clean and much more relaxing environment. read more

The last time I went it was an awful experience. I told the owner and lady exactly what I wanted and what I did not want and while I was getting my "manicure" which was nothing more than a gel polish since I did not receive any manicure treatment or massage they went under my nose and gave my daughter a pedicure when I had told them she was there for just regular nail polish. When I realized I was charged for an ADULT pedicure $40 instead of a $7 reg polish I asked them why. The lady became offended and said she gave pedi so now I had to pay for pedi. Also my daughter was charged for a manicure when it was just reg polish as well. The owner told the lady he had just done reg polish on nail and that the charge was a mistake. Needless to say I was very embarrassed as I had made my self clear to both employee and owner in the beginning and now I had to stand up for myself and let them know that I would pay the bill but they knew exactly what they were doing by overcharging me. made an appt...arrived on time only to be told the owner read the clock wrong. told to return 2 hours later. arrived on time, put with their newest employee, a student fresh from school. as the service progressed, the owner was yelling in his native tongue to her that she needed to hurry up. very apparant based on her facial expression and the rest of his employees. Senior couple arrived, gentlemen wanting a pedicure, waited and waited...owner yelled at my girl again...finally owner started the water and left the senior man to sit and wait and wait...meanwhile owner periodically yelled at my girl still working on me. Finally got done flirting with his customer and sent my girl too work on senior and said he was going to polish my toes. I was SO UNBELIEVABLY EMBARRASSED and felt SO UNWELCOME! I finally mustered up the courage to tell him I was ready to pay and leave...he chose to try and make a scene while I was putting on my shoes... WOW!!! Made sure I paid what he told me I owed...His business must be good and he must be happy with his current clientele because new customers are not treated good.
