I had some good words to say about our realtor, but I cannot forget our loan officer. I mean we never would have connected with our realtor if it wasn't for him. Mike Villano and his team have been amazing from the very get go. He was actually referred to us from a friend of ours and helped us get our 2nd home in Washington. Since he helped us with that home, we asked him to help us with our home purchase in Nevada as well. Even though they are located in Washington, the transaction went thru so smoothly. So smoothly in fact, that I started to think that there was something wrong LOL This was our 3rd home purchase, and no matter how many times you go thru the process, you can't help but feel all the crazy jitters. The transaction went thru just fine and we were able to close sooner than expected. I do have to give kudos to his assistant. Jen was great throughout the entire loan process. I personally would not recommend this lending office. The initial meeting went great but went down hill from there. I felt anytime I asked a question they acted annoyed. The communication on what was happening with our loan was lacking. There also seemed to be a lack of communication between staff in the office. On occasions they just seemed too busy. I just had a really bad experience and this added so much stress into an already stressful situation. read more

We were referred to Veteran's Lending Group when we purchased our home out in Washington. I appreciated their flexibility to work electronically with us, due to time differences and of course geographical constraints. I felt like we were always very well taken care of and we knew what steps were next. They were very quick to correct problems we had when we ran into a problem with an appraisal. Don't use these guys. Brooke Villano will answer your questions by email and phone call right away at the start, but once you fill out an application and send in docs, she doesn't update you, return calls or emails for days (after promising a 24 HR turnaround). And her excuse is that she's busy. Uhhh...who's NOT busy? If you promise to call me, you should call me. And furthermore, don't lie and say you did in fact return my call or that it wasn't 4 days before I heard from you. It's unfortunate when a person or entire company believes that as long as there's incoming business RIGHT NOW, they don't have to provide ANY customer service. We ended up going with a different builder who didn't bully us into using this lender and for the exact same purchase price. Brooke wasted a week of my time and 5 more minutes to write a bad review on her. There's so many great loan officers out there that actually return calls and care about your situation, so don't waste your time with this one. read more

I had a terrible experience as a seller of a home with a buyer working with this group. The loan officer assigned was rude and made several un-called for statements. In the end the buyer he gave a preapproval for was not prepared to purchase a home. Accepting an offer as a seller based on the preapproval this company gave cost me time, thousands of dollars, and potentially the loss of a home I am trying to purchase. Beware! read more

I rarely write reviews. But I cant say enough about Scott Collins with Veterans Lending Group That worked with my family out of the Dupont, Wa office. We are a family including a veteran and someone who had needs for an adapted home on one level. These are rare where we live and in the market conditions are tough to find... We asked for help with a solid pre- approval so we could be ready and sellers would know they could accept our VA loan offer for a timely close should a property come available. Scott and his assistant Courtney were thorough with above and beyond patience and helpfulness while my family got everything in we needed. But even more critical once an ideal home was found and they wanted a 30 day close you really find out if the folks you have chosen as your lender come through on time for your home purchase with a final approval. They closed and funded in 30 days on time despite dealing with a bit of a VA appraisal back log. Woohoo! As good as it gets ! is accurate. I would recommend using Scott and Courtney with Veterans Lending Group to anyone. read more
