It opened at 7pm on Friday, we sat together comfortably. We asked about food but they said all they had was French fries. So we waited to order but then they said they had no gas or oil to cook but allowed us to bring food in from outside restaurants, which was accommodating. I assume there's no dress code since the manager was wearing a white beater t-shirt with his pants hanging very low, which was fine. We ordered drinks at the bar and picked them up from bar and were charged a service fee of around $3 "per drink", Not sure what that was for since we were not served at our table at all. The drinks were definitely over priced and we were over charged. Also, customers were doing hookah at the bar so that's a plus if you like that. The bartender was very nice and the atmosphere was relaxed. I just wonder if this is a normal night? I hope it stays open since it's in a good location and it has been around for a while. Birthday Shenanigans 08/19/2023 I celebrated my birthday here about a month ago with my sister, my daughter, and my friends. We had a blast! The party did not stop as we took to the stage all night performing our best and worst of karaoke. I wouldn't say that this is one of the best karaoke bars around town, but it's cool for what it is. It's pretty small and cramped inside and when it gets packed, people are bumping into one another unintentionally. The wait staff is always some new random awkward teenage-babyface-looking kid that's in training and doesn't know much about the food and drink's menu. When questioned about the prices of their drinks, the young and innocent wild-eyed server had to run and find out how much the drinks were, because for some odd reason the prices are not listed on the drinks' menu. I have to admit that they have been price gouging for food and drinks that are not worth the expensive prices that they've tagged to certain items such as their wings, which are like 13 bucks for five. I don't mind paying the 13 bucks, but can you at least add two or three more wings to it? Since I've been visiting this place frequently, I've started to notice that they're always switching up the prices on the food and drinks, which is pretty annoying. One weekend a Lemon drop Martini may cost you $12, and then the following weekend, it may cost you $14 or $15. Moreover, they're always hiring a new cook in the kitchen. Sometimes the cook is a good one and other times, NOT! However, this last visit they had an amazing cook! We ordered plain wings and the loaded nachos and both were really delicious, especially the wings. They were flavorful, fried to perfection, and seasoned just right. Hopefully, they will keep him around for a while. Furthermore, there's an automatic gratuity charge on all purchases so beware, because I was tipping my server in cash and paying my bill with my card for part of the night not knowing that I was already paying a gratuity fee on my debit card. It wasn't until my friend brought it to my attention and admonished me to stop overtipping. You would think the server would have informed me of this, but of course he did not do that. I kind of felt robbed and misused after that. Overall, I will continue to patronize with them in the future occasionally. Although they have their many flaws, I have to admit that they have the place jumping on a Friday and Saturday night. The ambiance is off-the-chart- high energy with strangers of all walks of life supporting one another on stage. However, if you choose to give them a try, I would suggest watching your bill closely to ensure you're not being overcharged. Also, another FYI, there's a pre-charge for an open tab when paying with a card. Because of the price gouging, the constant price changes, and the inconsistency of the wait staff service, I am changing my rating to a two-star rating. Definitely your hometown style karaoke bar. You'll find a number of very upbeat and positive supportive regulars, many of whom had some terrific voices. The food was good, we had the nachos and the only downside was there could've been a bit more toppings on it, but those that were on there were tasty. The drinks were reasonably priced as we had six drinks plus the nachos for under $70 including tip. The only odd part was that they built in a 15% tip not exactly sure why but the service was good enough that I added the balance to make it a 20% tip. The two bartenders were very nice, and although I didn't know this initially, they do have table service so in the future when we go back, I'll take advantage of that, as the server was very upbeat and cheered on the vocalists. Finally there is a Karaoke bar in N Houston that isn't filled with smoke! I've been having a hard time, finding a karaoke bar to frequent since moving to the north side of town. Almost every bar here seems to allow smoking indoors. I'm asthmatic so that's a big problem. Voice karaoke is smoke-free and very fun! In between some of the sets the DJ will just pick up a song that people are really enjoying and let everyone have a dance break which I thought was a very fun switch up. However, on days like Saturday where it's packed, it can definitely delay your time on stage. Such a fun experience with family and fellow karaoke people. The drinks are strong and the staff isn't super attentive but it can get crazy so I don't fault them. The music selection is very extensive which was nice to see so everyone can sing something they love. The food, I would give about a 4/10. Our table ordered wings, egg rolls, mozzarella sticks and other items and we just weren't impressed but I guess no one is there for the food. On last Friday, 8/25/23, nine of us went to celebrate a friend's birthday. We arrived at 7:00 & wanted to order food but they said the chef was running late. We tried to place happy hour drink orders UNTIL we found out that the house vodka was TAAKA vodka. Seriously? So, of course, everyone had to pay the $2 upcharge to replace it with Tito's. We weren't able to start placing food orders until about 7:45. The service was horribly slow. It took almost an hour for all of us to receive our food. They brought out ONE plate at a time. It's like they had one hot plate and a one basket fry daddy in the back. Trust me, these were no entrees prepared by a "chef"..... The loaded fries were definitely NOT loaded with any seasoning. The fries, the ground beef and the cheese ALL tasted just like the sour cream on top, NOTHING! There was absolutely no taste on any of it. A couple people ordered chicken wings and I swear they were NOT chicken wings. These had to be cornish hen wings. They were super small. I have never seen wings that small. And five wings for $13. Pure craziness....... The manager also got an attitude with one of my friends because she went to the bar to place her order and not with our waiter. Be very prepared when you walk in this place. We talking high energy, very modern and crazy sexy all throughout this place. Those 5 stars up there are solid; as this Karaoke bar is the most elite Karaoke spot in all of Cypress and Northwest Houston. I've been here several times and have always been well treated with near superb customer service. The drinks are right. Nothing watered down here, all drinks are mixed well. I may be selfish on that as I'm talking specifically about my Jack and Cokes. I think I may have tried a rita and of course some shots and without question, it put me in pure Rock the House mode. No matter the type of music you like, they have it and when no one is singing one of the owners will or they will play some excellent music choices. But rest assure as the night goes on, someone will be at that mic giving a performance of their lifetime right there on center stage. Oh...and let me not forget the food. You may be use to regular bar food, but I don't think these guys know what that is. We talking restaurant quality food here baby. When I asked the waitress where the rest from the bottle was she said that's it. I forgot how janky this place is. My stomach was upset which is why I even ordered the topo chico. To get just a shot of it for the cost of an entire 6 pack was so disheartening. I came here on Saturday night and had a good time. It's a small place but it served its purpose. I'm giving it four stars because there was about one lady working the floor and while she did a good job trying to attend to everyone, they were understaffed. The menus that were given to us were outdated as most of the items weren't available anymore. I got the tacos and they were cold at first due to the wait but once the waiter was informed she warmed it up quickly. The tacos were pretty good. Overall, I would return. Hidden gem!!! This tiny place was SO MUCH FUN! Went in last night (Friday) for a girl's night out. Initially, it was a bit empty but then more and more people showed up and the crowd was awesome. There was a variety of singers--from pro to amateur. The crowd got into singing along and there was even some dancing in between singers. This place was a complete surprise. So this place is super tiny & there are no private rooms for parties, it's one open room, pretty narrow space. They have maybe 5 or 6 booths around the walls on 2 sides, the stage on the opposite side and the bar as well. It's a cool place to sing karaoke. The waitresses were not bad, drinks were ok. There was actually a customer who complained her drink wasn't strong enough & they came over & poured more in her glass. I met several people here who were regulars & very nice. Lots of people dancing & everyone cheering & supporting other singers who were not even in their party, very nice. This made it easy to have a good time. I did not order any food as the kitchen behind the black curtain didn't appear to be very tidy. The lighting is dim so the spotlight is not on you, which is good if u get nervous performing. Overall cool place to have some entertainment if your in the area, but small so get there early or call to book a table. I believe there are about 8 seats at the bar area as well. The DJ can play anything you want so the variety was great. However it takes forever for your song to be played, he does play a regular song for everyone to enjoy in-between each singer which takes up some time but gets the crowd back excited. So my second experience at this place was better than the first. Even after leaving disappointed the first time I still recommended the place to my friend for an activity to do after her bridal shower since it was close by. So a group of us showed up, kind of late because even though it was only around 9 or so, the place was packed and of course the karaoke queue was filled up. As I mentioned in my previous review, there is no monitoring or managing of the queue, it is fully automated but it can be changed by a human if need be. So for example, If Joe goes online and requests to sing 5 times before John, then he goes 5 times while John waits, as opposed to other places I have been where they will rotate it around to make it fair. When we arrived there was really no place to sit, or so it appeared. I went up to the bar and told the bartender that I had a party of around 10, could she seat us. I saw another bartender shake her head no, but the bartender I asked said "sure!" and she found us a table in the corner and set it up for us. Man I wish I would have got her name because I truly appreciated her impeccable customer service. So we got a table, ordered some drinks and put in some song requests. Of course I understand how the karaoke queue here works. So I go up to the KJ and I ask him if we wouldn't mind moving me up. He was a sweetheart. He said he basically wasn't even supposed to be working but he was helping them out because they were short. At any rate, we slipped him a 20 for his trouble and he bumped us up. So thankfully I got to sing and another person at our table got to sing as well. The bride-to-be had a great night. Personally I think some things should be tweaked there (just as better management of the karaoke queue) but I guess if you can work around that if you need to. Okay so I went, the reviews are not wrong this place is awesome! Everyone sings and its fun. Some people are actually pretty good too, I enjoyed that. I did take cash because of the reviews and well I had no problem. Food and drinks for 2 for 4 hours came out to be 110. I would say its up there on the price scale. They do include the tip in the bill. I went on a Friday and it wasn't too packed. They have two servers. The wait for the food and drinks is about the same as a restaurant actually, but I was enjoying watching the people sing so the wait didn't bother me! The people that go there are the coolest too!! Love coming here! As people have stated previously it is actually a great mix of people which equals great variety of music. I personally, once the liquor takes hold, that is become one with Usher and the go to of course is "Nice and Slow". I've heard a guy belt out...I think it was Staind? No maybe Disturbed...the one where the guy goes "Oh-wa-a-a-a!" And man that guy nailed it! I've heard country, pop and everything in between. My sister-in-law and I came across this place on a whim last Saturday night. It was so much fun!! Would definitely recommend! The people there were so nice and so fun to hang out with. Every one cheered each other on, sang, and danced with each other. It was so much fun! I know, I keep saying that. We had a sweet and attentive waitress, I think her name was Cassandra? She was little, with long black hair she pulled back in a low ponytail. (In case I have her name wrong) The karaoke dj had pretty much anything I could think of singing! There were so many good singers there, but it wasn't intimidating! We actually saved our spot by leaving one of our phones behind while we went out front, and two young ladies came out to tell us not leave our phone behind! How cool is that?!
